I hope some can explain this to me because I never found anything about this on the net. Ok, so Hogan's and Beefcake's (to my knowledge) last WWF appearance was at WM VIII in 1992. Then almost a year later, Beefcake is wrestling on RAW and is attacked by Money Inc, which prompts Hogan to return at WM IX. WM IX happens and no Tag Team Titles are won.
What the hell happen to Beefcake after WM IX?! And why was Beefcake all of a sudden wrestlign on RAW when he hasn't been seen in the WWF for almost a year?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hogans last appearance at the time was Mania 8. Beefcake had suffered a boating accident, resulting in steel plates being put in his face. Beefcake hadnt been in the ring in a while, and his last appearance was around late 91-early 92 hosting the Barber Shop. In 93, Beefcake made his in ring return on Raw in a match with Ted Dibiase I think and was attacked by Money Inc with the storyline being that Beefcake had been hit in the face with their loaded briefcase. Hogan returned a week later and we had the tag match at Mania 9, ending on a DQ (thus no title change). Hogan of course went on to win the WWF Title that same night.

All because of back stage politics...

Even without Hogan & Beefcake winning the gold - I loved Wrestlemania 9!

The tag title match was the match I was most looking forward to for WM9... I remember I fell asleep after it. In the morning, my nephew told me Hogan had come down after the Bret-Yoko match and won the title, and I just wouldn't believe him. It was only when my friend talked about it later in the day that I accepted it.
I guess Beefcake was brought back in early '93 just to set up the WM match and Hogan's return.

You just re-stated everything I wrote in the first part of my post. I am quite familiar with all this, I wanted to know more of the behind the scenes stuff post WM IX.

Beefcake was basically just used as a catalyst for Hogan's return. I dont think he even wrestled after Mania 9, which is probably why they didnt win the tag titles. There wasnt much backstage stuff going on, expect that Hogan used his creative control to win the title that night because he said there had never been a heel to leave Mania with the belt and the fans would be upset. He then refused to drop the title to Bret Hart at that years SummerSlam.
