ROH How we Don’t Roll! Lake Grove, New York Friday, week 2, May
--- A sold out show despite the mention that Christian Cage would not be here tonight, a few of the fans got a chuckle when they saw the new poster for the event with the new name. ---
- It was announced that the ROH Pure Champion, Nigel McGuiness won’t be able to make it tonight. Cary Silkin then announced that he knows Nigel loves to compete overseas for NOAH but he is their Pure Champion and if he isn’t able to compete at the “Destiny” show on the first week of June then he will be stripped of the championship. Silkin is interrupted by the ROH World Champion, Bryan Danielson who makes his way down to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Danielson says that he doesn’t care about Nigel McGuiness, calling him a nothing to offer wrestler. Danielson says that he is this companies world champion and will be defending the title tonight but has no clue who his opponent is because one of the big leagues wrestlers decided not to show up. Danielson demands to know who is opponent is and Silkin says that Danielson will be facing off against one of those big league wrestlers tonight so he better bring his “A” Game. Suddenly, the TNA entrance music of Jeff Hardy hit’s the PA system and the crowd boo and cheer for the “Charismatic Enigma” Hardy stands at the entrance area and just smiles as Danielson looks on from the ring. Hardy then leaves as Danielson begins to rip Jeff apart on the microphone, demanding to know if Jeff took a drug test before competing tonight. This got a mixed reaction from the crowd.
1) Jimmy Yang defeated. Matt Sydal after connecting with Yang Time. Despite both men being awesome in the ring and highly entertaining, this match lacked at times. After a pretty week beginning the match began to pick up however and the crowd got pretty in to it. The finish of the match eventually arrived after Sydal hit the top rope looking for the Shooting Star Press only for Yang to hit an impressive cart wheel jumping kick to knock Sydal of balance, crotching himself on the top rope. Matt fell down to the canvas and Yang quickly hit the top rope and connecting with Yang Time to pick up the three count. Despite the poor beginning, the match had a strong finish.
2) Colt Cabana defeated. Necro Butcher after connecting with a Lake Shore Drive. The crowd were a lot more in to this match and it was no surprise because of the heated war between Ring of Honor and Combat Zone wrestling. Because of this war, there was a referee from both companies officiating in the ring and despite Cabana being known as one of the funniest wrestlers around, he was completely serious tonight in hope of getting a win for Ring of Honor. The match was more of a brawl than anything else but near the end of things, Necro surprisingly went to the top rope. This came to be his downfall as Cabana quickly knocked him of balance and connected with the Lake Shore Drive for the three count. Despite being a slugfest, the crowd were really in to this match.
3) Davey Richards defeated. Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs after Davey Richards connected with the DR Driver on Jimmy Jacobs. This was the Ring of Honor debut match for Davey Richards who was known for competing at several promotions which includes Ring of Honor’s sister promotion, Full Impact Pro. This was a real solid match throughout and Delirious entertained the fans with his antics while Jacobs and Richards went at it. The finish eventually arrived with Delirious hitting the Panic Attack on Jacobs only to charge at Davey Richards who pulled the top rope down as he fell to the canvas causing Delirious to crash to the floor. Jacobs who was now staggering around the ring walked straight in to a Tiger Driver that Richards calls the DR Driver allowing him to pick up the three count. Delirious got the biggest reaction of the match but the crowd were getting in to Davey Richards.
4) Mark Briscoe defeated. Roderick Strong after connecting with the Cut Throat Driver. This was part of two single matches involving Generation Next and the Briscoe Brothers tonight as later on, Jay Briscoe will be facing Austin Aries. This match was once again, solid throughout. Probably one of the smaller crowd reactions of the show but that didn’t take away from a great match. The match eventually finished with Briscoe countering the Roderick Strong Back Breaker straight in to the Cut Throat Driver to pick up the three count. Good match, just little crowd reaction.
5) Alex Shelley defeated. Homicide by disqualification because of interference by Prince Nana and Julius Smokes. The crowd were really in to this match and the match quality was near perfection, everything just seemed to click and it was obvious Shelley and Homicide were enjoying themselves out there in the ring. After plenty of near falls, the match eventually finished with Prince Nana successfully interfering, kicking Homicide while he was on the outside of the ring. When Julius Smokes made the save, the referee ended the match, disqualifying Homicide. Homicide looked annoyed at the result and ending up grabbing a microphone saying “f**k Ring of Honor and f**k this company” The crowd were somewhat shocked as Homicide left the ringside area.
-- The Kings of Wrestling, Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli made their way down to the ring wearing the Chikara tag team titles while a CZW referee followed behind them. Once inside the ring, Hero got on the microphone and ran down Ring of Honor saying that Jim Cornette knows Ring of Honor is a sinking ship and that’s why he isn’t here tonight. Claudio then calls BJ Whitmer and Adam Pierce pathetic wrestlers who don’t know when to give up and they’ll be more than happy to defeat them once again tonight.
6) The Kings of Wrestling defeated. BJ Whitmer & Adam Pearce after Chris Hero connected with the Hero‘s Welcome on BJ Whitmer. This was another match the crowd were in to because of the war between Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling. During the war, BJ Whitmer and Adam Pearce have been the heart of ROH winning the crowd over. The match it self was pretty fun to watch and there was great interaction between the referees where at one point the ROH referee took a bump leaving the CZW referee to call the match, allowing Chris Hero to grab a steel chair and smash it over Whitmer’s head. The finish eventually arrived with Hero hitting the Hero’s welcome on a now bloody BJ Whitmer to pick up the victory. After Whitmer began bleeding, the crowd were nearing riot it seemed.
7) Austin Aries defeated. Jay Briscoe after connecting with the 450 Splash. The crowd were a lot more in to this match than they were the previous match with Mark Briscoe and Roderick Strong which helped this match seem more entertaining. Both men fought back n forth but eventually after several near falls, Austin Aries proved why he is a former ROH World Champion by dropping Briscoe with the Brian Buster before going to the top rope and hitting the 450 Splash to pick up the victory. A strong match from start to finish which the crowd seemed to enjoy.
8) Bryan Danielson defeated. Jeff Hardy to retain the ROH World Championship after forcing Jeff Hardy to tap out to the Cattle Mutilation. Despite the crowd giving Jeff a mixed reaction at the beginning at the match, Jeff seemed to prove to them that he was on the up n rise from his drug problems a few years back. There was several near falls during the match that the crowd seemed to enjoy and after Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb seemingly out the nowhere, the crowd were seemingly hoping Hardy would pick up the three count and retain the title only for Danielson to kick out at the last millisecond. Jeff taunted Danielson as he got to his feet calling for the Twist of Fate but the “greatest wrestler in the world” counted it by hooking Jeff’s arms and dragging him down to the canvas to lock in Cattle Mutilation. Hardy withheld the point for nearly a minute before being forced to give up. Danielson left the ring after as Hardy slowly got to his feet, surprisingly a Hardy chant broke out and Jeff thanked the fans for the opportunity.
9) Samoa Joe vs. Super Dragon went to a no contest because of interference. This was the main event of the evening and an extremely stiff contest as Dragon and Joe seemingly kicked the s**t out of each other. The two referees were having words with each other during the match when they felt the other promotions referee was being biased, which they both were. The match continued and eventually, Joe managed to connect with the Muscle Buster but Super Dragon managed to kick out which got a big pop from the crowd. Eventually, Dragon got things going his way and connected with the Dragon Bomb but Joe made the crowd pop even louder by kicking out at the last second. Eventually the match came to an end when Necro Butcher ran down to the ring only for Colt Cabana to follow in hot pursuit. Cabana dived on Butcher in the ring and the match was called off because of the interruption. Joe and Dragon continued to brawl but suddenly the Kings of Wrestling hit the ring and attacked Joe giving CZW the advantage. The two men, KOW faced earlier in the night hit the ring, BJ Whitmer still a bloody mess. An all out war broke out between the two teams of four but eventually the CZW invaders retreated from the ring.
-- Samoa Joe got on the microphone and challenged the CZW invaders to a match that will finish the war. He says if they accept it will be The Kings of Wrestling, Necro Butcher and Super Dragon vs. BJ Whitmer, Adam Pierce, Colt Cabana and Samoa Joe in a steel cage match. The CZW invaders look on from the entrance way as the show comes to an end.

ROH Night of Homicide Edison, New Jersey Saturday, Week 2, May
--- A lot more fans here from the previous night, which is kind of surprising. It was announced during the pre show that TNA’s Chris Sabin will be competing tonight.
-- The show kicks off with the commissioner of Ring of Honor, Jim Cornette making his way down to the ring. Cornette with a microphone in his hand talks about how he had to miss last nights show due to personal reasons but those CZW thugs took the opportunity to make it look like he was abandoning the company. Cornette says he is Ring of Honor through and through. Cornette then brings up a moment that took place last night when Homicide declared “F**k Ring of Honor and F**k this company” after getting disqualified in a match that he shouldn’t of got disqualified in. Cornette says he had to plead with Homicide not to leave the company and to do so, promised him a ROH World Championship match tonight.
1) Chris Hero defeated. Rhett Titus by pin fall in 10.07 after connecting with the Hero’s Welcome. Rhett still has no character and is only considered “one of those ROH Graduates” which is a shame as he has a lot of potential. Hero controlled this match but near the end, Titus began getting in to his groove. Titus went to the top rope only for Hero to knock him off and connect with the Hero’s Welcome to pick up the victory. A lot of heat for Chris Hero during this match who got a small “F**k Ring of Honor” chant going with the Combat Zone Wrestling fans.
2) Colt Cabana defeated. Delirious and Jimmy Rave and Jimmy Yang by pin fall in 20.18 after connecting with the Colt. 45. Elimination rules for this match with plenty of action involved. The first victim of the match was Delirious who got taken out with Yang Time by Jimmy Yang. Later on in the match, Jimmy Rave got eliminated after tapping out to the Chicago Crab from Colt Cabana. At this point, 14 minutes had passed and the match continued for another six minutes where both men battled back n forth. Eventually, Cabana ducked under a spin kick and connected with the Colt. 45 to pick up the victory. Fun fast paced match and the crowd were really in to it. Cabana definitely got the biggest pop of the match.
-- After the match, Cabana got on the microphone and said that he is proud to be representing Ring of Honor in this war against Combat Zone Wrestling but he wants to hold some gold again. Cabana says that management have been yelling at Nigel McGuiness to come home from Japan and defend his ROH Pure Championship so he is challenging Nigel to a title match for the ROH Pure Championship. The crowd reacted positively to this.
3) Samoa Joe defeated. Jimmy Jacobs by pin fall in 15.46 after connecting with the Island Driver. This was a fantastic match and the crowd got really in to it. Jacobs took everything Samoa Joe could dish out and still managed to get back up to his feet to which the crowd applauded him. The match eventually finished with Joe deciding enough was enough and dropping Jacobs with the Island Driver to pick up the victory. Surprisingly, there was no interference during or after the match from the CZW roster.
4) Chris Sabin defeated. Claudio Castagnoli who had Chris Hero at ringside in 15.04 seconds after a roll up following an appearance from BJ Whitmer and Adam Pearce. Sabin got a huge reaction from the crowd while Claudio got a lot of heat. The two men involved put on a great match for the fans and near the end of things, Claudio was controlling the match, looking to finish the match. Suddenly, BJ Whitmer and Adam Pearce run down to the ring with steel chairs and chase Chris Hero around the ring. Claudio leans on the middle rope taunting his ROH enemies only for Chris Sabin to roll him up and get the three count. Claudio looked shocked at the loss as Sabin celebrated on the entrance area with BJ Whitmer and Adam Pearce.
5) Alex Shelley defeated. Jack Evans by pin fall in 14.53 after connecting with Shell Shock. Despite the crowd being really in to the match, things didn’t seem to click in this match. It wasn’t a bad match it just seemed as if it could have been a lot more. Evans continued being his spot monkey like self and the crowd were loving him for it. The match eventually finished with Jack missing a 630 Senton allowing Shelley to connect with the Shell Shock to pick up the victory. Fun match that could have been a lot better in parts, at least the crowd loved it.
6) Adam Pearce defeated. Necro Butcher by disqualification in 12.02 after interference from the Kings of Wrestling. This was a surprising match as Necro played along with Pearce’s mat wrestling game and actually looked good during it. This was the first and only match of the night to feature two referees involved but that didn’t seem to mean much as there was little interaction between them. The match eventually ended with Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli hitting the ring with Steel Chairs and attacking Adam Pearce causing the Ring of Honor Referee to ring the bell for the finish. The CZW referee began pushing the ROH referee and the two quickly disappeared after a cat fat like motion from the ring to the outside of the ring.
-- BJ Whitmer hit the ring to save his partner only for Necro to throw a chair in his face. The Kings of Wrestling and Necro then took Adam apart with a steel chair each before Necro wrapped a chair around the neck of Pearce and Claudio dived of the top rope with a leg drop, crashing on the chair. Pearce quickly began to cough up blood as medics ran down to the ring with security. The Kings of Wrestling and Necro laughed at their dirty work before leaving the ring to a chores of “f**k you inbreds”
7) Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeated. The Briscoe’s by pin fall in 15.26 after Austin Aries hit the 450 Splash on Mark Briscoe to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships. This was a solid match that saw some great back n forth action. Austin Aries was the shining star of the match as he tends to be and he eventually finished the match after Roderick Strong connected with the Gibson Driver which Aries quickly followed up with a 450 splash. This was enough for the three count. Fun match that had a good reaction from the crowd.
-- A video is played showing Julius Smokes hyping up Homicide, telling him that he is the man and tonight is his night.
8) Bryan Danielson defeated. Homicide by submission in 24.31 after Homicide couldn’t answer a three count while locked in the Cattle Mutilation to retain the ROH World Championship. This was the main event of the show and the crowd seemed to be pushing for Homicide to pick up the victory. Danielson and Homicide went at it back n forth for other twenty minutes in a match that consisted of plenty of near falls which included Homicide connecting with the Cop Killah around the 19 minute mark only to be exhausted, stopping him to crawl over to Danielson to hook the leg which allowed Danielson to kick out at two when the pin fall attempt was eventually made. The match eventually finished with Homicide going for a second Cop Killah only for Danielson to quickly turn it in to the Cattle Mutilation. Homicide was put in the hold around the 22 minute mark and lasted over two minutes before the referee raised the arm three times, calling an end to the match. The crowd really loved this match and once Danielson had left the area, Homicide began to rise to a standing ovation.

ROH Destiny East Windsor, Connecticut Saturday, Week 1, June
--- Another full house for Ring of Honor tonight. The show’s main event was being promoted as Bryan Danielson defending the ROH World Championship against “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.
-- The show opens with a loud “Are Oh Aich” chant just before the Commissioner of Ring of Honor, Jim Cornette makes his way down to the ring. Once inside he announces that as already mentioned, Bryan Danielson will defend the ROH world Championship against Christopher Daniels tonight but Daniels will also take part in the next Ring of Honor event, “The War ends Now” Cornette says that at our last show, Adam Pearce was attacked by the “advanced backyard wrestlers from Combat Scum Wrestling” Jim continues his rant by saying that Adam is unable to compete at the event because of the injuries sustained but has picked his replacement and that man is “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. Cornette then changes the tone of the opening segment to say that Ring of Honor recently signed one of Canada’s finest exports and the fans are about to see him in action now, the last to be trained in the legendary Hart Dungeon, TJ Wilson.
1) TJ Wilson defeated. Jerrelle Clark in 14:40 via submission after locking in the Sharp Shooter. The debut of TJ Wilson couldn’t of went any better in the eyes of not only TJ Wilson but Ring of Honor. He seemingly impressed the crowd with his obvious ability and played his part well. This wasn’t a squash match at all though, which is a rarity of sorts in Indy wrestling. Jerrelle is most known for his work in NWA TNA and kept Wilson busy during the entire match. Things eventually came to an end when Wilson managed to hook Clark’s legs and lock in the Sharp Shooter. Clark had no option but to tap out.
2) Davey Richards defeated. Jimmy Rave in 16:46 via pin fall after connecting with the Shooting Star Press. This match probably went too long but it still entertained the crowd. Richards is very impressive in the ring and is fast becoming a fan favourite despite this only being his second match. The finish to the match eventually arrived with Davey Richards hitting a beautiful Shooting Star Press to pick up the victory. As I said, crowd was in to it but it could of dropped a few minutes to give to the main event.
3) Delirious defeated. Roderick Strong, Kid Mikaze and Jason Blade in a Four Post Survival match in 19:11 via pin fal after connecting with Shadows over Hell. This match seems to be a favourite of Ring of Honor as it’s used at nearly every show. The first to be eliminated with Jason Blade who fell victim to a devastating Rock Bottom Back Breaker by Roderick Strong. The final three participants continued the match until Delirious connected with Chemical Imbalance II on Kid Mikaze, which was enough for Delirious to get the three count. The final two men, Delirious and one half of the ROH Tag team champions, Roderick Strong battled it out for a good ten minutes before the finish of the match arrived with Delirious countering a variation of a back breaker in to the DDT. Delirious quickly hit the top rope and dived off, connecting with the splash he calls Shadows over Hell, crashing down on Roderick’s back. Delirious then hooked the leg and got the three count.
4) Samoa Joe defeated. Claudio Castagnoli in 18:37 via pin fall after connecting with the Chimera Plex. This was the only double referee match of the night in what was a real solid match. Claudio and Joe went back n forth the entire match. The match eventually finished with Samoa Joe countered the Ricola Bomb and connected with the Chimera Plex to get the three count.
-- After the bell, Joe grabbed a steel chair and bounced it off Claudio’s head as he was struggling to get to his feet. Claudio hit the canvas hard as Joe raised the chair and yelled “Ring of Honor”
5) Jimmy Jacobs defeated, Austin Aries in 14:07 via pin fall after interference from Rhett Titus. This was one hell of an upset even with the interference from Rhett Titus. Aries was in control for a lot of the match with Jacobs fighting back eventually only for Aries to take control again. Eventually, the referee got knocked down allowing anything to happen. Surprisingly, Rhett Titus appeared and bounced the ring bell off Austin Aries head. Jacobs then rolled Aries up, holding on to the tights to get a slow three count from the referee.
-- After the bell, Rhett Titus raised the hand of Jimmy Jacobs in the air leaving everyone in the building confused.
6) Chris Hero defeated. Matt Sydal in 17:01 via pin fall after connecting with the Hero’s Welcome. Hero generated plenty of heel heat in this match being apart of the CZW team that is going to face ROH’s team at the next event in the eight man tag steel cage match. The crowd were really in to Matt Sydal but that didn’t help the St. Louis native win this match as the finish eventually arrived with Matt Sydal missing the Shooting Star Press allowing Hero to easily connect with the Hero’s Welcome to pick up the victory.
-- After the bell, Hero got on the microphone and yelled abuse at Adam Pearce, calling him a pathetic excuse as a wrestler. Hero then said that next month, CZW will win the war.
7) Colt Cabana defeated. Nigel McGuiness in 17:54 via submission after locking in the Chicago Crab to become the NEW ROH Pure Champion. This was a fantastic match, probably match of the night. Both men used up all off their rope breaks which caused the eventual finish of the match as Cabana who had been working on Nigel’s legs for the entire match locked in the Chicago Crab for a third time. Nigel yelled in pain and attempted to grab the rope only to release if he did he would be disqualified and lose the championship. The reverse crab was locked in for a good two minutes before Nigel decided to tap out because of the pain.
-- After the bell, Cabana was awarded the ROH Pure Championship and he dived in to the crowd, being surfed around the room. A large Colt Cabana chant broke out.
8) Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels went to a no contest after 24:37 following interference from Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Super Dragon and Necro Butcher. This was a fantastic match and was definitely on the same level as the previous match. Plenty of near falls through out the ROH World Championship match that hyped the crowd but after Daniels had just connected with the BEM - Best Moonsault Ever, Team CZW hit the ring and attacked both men. Bryan Danielson was quickly thrown out of the ring.
-- Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Necro Butcher and Super Dragon all began to attack Christopher Daniels only for Samoa Joe, BJ Whitmer and the new ROH Pure Champion, Colt Cabana to hit the ring and defend their new team mate. An all out war broke out between the two teams that continued for a good fifteen minutes before several dozen security guards separated the two teams. The show comes to an end with team CZW being dragged out of the arena.

I would have preferred Clark to beat Wilson, but still probably going to be a push for Wilson. I'm glad Samoa Joe won, hopefully this will put him up in the title picture. I would like to see a push for Jimmy Rave, I always thought he deserved it. I'm glad Cabana won, nice to see he gets what he deserved. Overall, a good show. Can't wait for Sabin vs. Homicide.

ROH The War Ends Now Manhattan, New York June 17th 2006
- As “The War Ends Now” officially starts, it is noted that the crowd is very hostile. The crowd has been split in half with the right hand side of the room cheering for Ring of Honor while the left hand side are cheering for Combat Zone Wrestling. Before things get underway, the ring announcer hypes the crowd up asking them if they are ready for the interpromotional eight man cage match that will main event the show between Team Ring of Honor and Team Combat Zone Wrestling.
1) Jimmy Jacobs w/ Rhett Titus defeated. Jimmy Yang via pin fall following interference from Titus allowing Jacobs to connect with the Contra Code. Jimmy Jacobs and Rhett Titus made their way down to the ring in black clothing with a serious look on the face but it didn’t seem to faze Jimmy Yang who watched from the ring. The match was pretty solid and was quite back n forth. There was several near pin falls during the match but the end eventually arrived with Jimmy Yang going to attempt “Yang Time” only for Rhett Titus to jump on the ring apron which caused Yang to leave the top rope and kick Rhett off the ring apron. Jimmy Jacobs quickly took advantage by hooking the neck of Yang and connecting with the Contra Code to hook the legs and get the three count.
2) TJ Wilson defeated. Jack Evans via submission after locking in the Sharpshooter. These two have known each other for years and because of such, the match flowed along very nicely. Some great back n forth action in which Jack Evans who went in to the match all fun n games went all serious after TJ Wilson was seemingly countering everything Jack Evans threw at him. The eventual finish to the match arrived after Evans went for a frankensteiner only for Wilson to counter it in to a Super Powerbomb. Wilson kept hold of the legs on the landed and quickly locked in the sharpshooter leaning back farther than usual because of Evans’ great flexibility. Jack Evans had no choice but to tap out as it looked he was going to be snapped in half. Despite Wilson seemingly going in to the match as a good guy, the crowd turned on him after he delivered a sickening kick to the head of Evans knocking him out of the ring.
----------------- DVD Exclusive ----------------- Team Combat Zone Wrestling are seen in a locker room looking in to the camera, Hero begins to talk about how tonight, CZW takes control of ROH when they defeat Team Ring of Honor in the steel cage match. Hero then says that once they win, they’re going to fire everyone on the opposing team and make sure that on the next show Chris Hero becomes ROH World Heavyweight Champion.
3) Alex Shelley defeated. Davey Richards via submission after locking in the Border City Stretch. This was a great contest. Richards was undefeated at this point of his ROH career but the Motor City native was just too much of a challenge for the newcomer. The match was very back n forth and really could of went either way but eventually, Shelley counted the DR Driver and quickly locked in the Border City Stretch which Davey Richards managed to survive being locked in for almost a minute and a half before finally tapping out.
4) Nigel McGuiness defeated. Jay Briscoe via pin fall after connecting with the Tower of London. The former ROH Pure champion, Nigel McGuiness were furious during the entire match and it didn’t help that when he was making his entrance a chant of “Where’s the title” broke out. Nigel got on the microphone and told everyone that what Colt Cabana did was a fluke and that he should think of it more than just luck but a fricken’ miracle. The match itself was pretty solid with Nigel working on Jay Briscoe’s neck a lot during the match. The end of the match eventually arrived after Nigel connected with the Rebound Lariat but decided that wasn’t enough and dragged Briscoe to the top rope where he went on to connect with the Tower of London.
----------------- DVD Exclusive ----------------- Team Ring of Honor is seen looking at the camera, Cabana smiling with the ROH Pure Championship wrapped around his waist. Cabana turns to Samoa Joe and tells him that they have to win the cage match tonight, saying that he only won the belt at the last show and doesn’t want to vacate it from being fired. Joe looks at Cabana who suddenly laughs and says that he knows they are going to kick CZW’s asses tonight. The cameras zoom in on Samoa Joe who simply says “Blood will be shed tonight, long live Ring Of Honor.”
5) Homicide defeated. Chris Sabin via pin fall after connecting with the Cop Killer. A very fast paced match, something you’d expect from TNA’s X Division. Sabin doesn’t do a lot of ROH dates so this was a rare treat for the ROH fans and he certainly delivered tonight. Several near finishes took place during the match but the ending sequence saw Sabin lift Homicide on to his shoulders hooking the leg trying to connect with the Cradle Shock only for Homicide too get his legs unhooked and slide down the back of Sabin. Homicide quickly hooked the arms and lifted Sabin in to the air, slamming him back down to the canvas with the Cop Killer. Homicide hooked the leg and got the three count. After the bell, a “Thank you Sabin” chant broke out which annoyed Homicide.
6) Generation Next(Roderick Strong & Austin Aries) defeated. AJ Styles & Matt Sydal via pin fall after Austin Aries connected with the Brain Buster/450 Splash combination on Matt Sydal. Generation Next retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Some real solid tag team action during this match that saw some fantastic double team action from the challengers to the belts, Former NWA World Champion, AJ Styles and Matt Sydal. Several times during the match it looked like we would have new World Tag Team Champions only for the match to be continued because of a kick out. Eventually, AJ Styles was taken out of the scene after Roderick Strong sent him hard in to the barrier gate stopping the crowd from getting any closer to the ring. Back in the ring, Aries planted Matt Sydal with the Brain Buster before dragging him to the corner of the ring and quickly connecting with the 450 Splash to get the three count meaning Generation Next retained their titles.
7) Bryan Danielson defeated. Delirious via submission after locking in the Cattle Mutilation. Bryan Danielson retains the ROH World Heavyweight Championship. Delirious has a big fan following behind him tonight as he was looking to capture his very first ROH Championship Belt. Delirious looked strong in the early going of the match but the world champion quickly gained momentum turning the match in to a very enjoyable back n forth encounter. The match eventually came to an end after Delirious out of no where connected with the Cobra Clutch Back Suplex making several people on the crowd cheer as it seemed Delirious was going to capture the belt. Delirious went up to the top rope and attempted to connect with Shadows over Hell only for Bryan Danielson to roll out of the way and quickly hook Delirious by the arms and roll through, locking in the Cattle Mutilation. The hold was locked in for almost a minute before Delirious called it quits forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Main Event) Team ROH (Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, BJ Whitmer & Colt Cabana) defeated. Team CZW (Super Dragon, Necro Butcher & The Kings of Wrestling) in a Tornado Tag Steel Cage Match. During the rules of the match it was mentioned that both teams could leave the cage but the only way to win the match was for one pin fall to be made. All hell broke loose from the very start as each man went after someone on the opposing team. The first blood shed came from the King of Death Match wrestling, Necro Butcher who was slammed head first in to an exposed turnbuckle several times by Samoa Joe who was a wild animal inside the ring tonight. Everyone else in the match began to bleed eventually and the finish eventually arrived after Everyone but Samoe Joe and Super Dragon were in the ring. A table had been set up in the ring after being thrown over the cage by the Kings of Wrestling and it was eventually used when Christopher Daniels climbed the cage and delivered the Best Moonsault Ever from the top, crashing through the table that had Super Dragon laid on it. Samoa Joe then locked in the Rear Naked Choke on Super Dragon while Christopher Daniels held up a steel chair stopping Team CZW from getting back inside the ring. Super Dragon eventually passed out in the hold and the referee ended the match. After the match had ended, James E. Cornette made his way down to the ring, once inside he said that he was a good man and will allow Team CZW to stay in Ring of Honor if they respect the code of honor and shake hands with the opposite team. Super Dragon and Necro Butcher leave the ring and walk away from the scene leaving the Kings of Wrestling inside. Claudio surprisingly shakes hands with everyone before turning around only to be met with a glare from Chris Hero. Claudio was heard saying “he needs this job” and as Hero turned around to face his opponents, it seemed he was going to shake hands with Samoa Joe. Hero suddenly pulled his hand back and spat in the face of Joe who looked shocked at first but quickly threw Hero in to the corner, lifting him up and slamming him down with the Muscle Buster on the steel chair. Cornette then leans over and tells Chris Hero that he is fired as the show comes to an end.

This should be one hell of a show, glad to see Titus used althought I would love the 'thrust is a must' gimmick, Jacobs push yes! Rather see Evans pushed but Tyson is good and a heel turn is great, Chris Hero ME shot please but hopefully ROH wins and Hero gets kept on, Shelley/Richards is such a dream match for me, glad Shelley won although Richards deserves a good few wins, glad Nigel won I hope either a rematch with Colt or a World title push, love the DVD exclusives, Sabin and Cide seemed good I would love the MCMG to team they could take the tag divssion by storm, glad Gen Next retained however I hope Sydals push continues, glad Amdrag retained, love the main event and the ending wish Necro shook hands then puched someone, I 'm guessing Hero will be back well I hope so, good luck and keep this up

ROH, The War Ends Now: Saturday 17th June 2006...Alright, double-whamy here as ROH and CZW are feuding. Hey, remember when you said that WWE 2008 would be your last diary for a while? That was pretty fun to think, looking back. Good opening contest with Jimmy Jacobs getting the win over Jimmy Yang with assistance from Jacobs' protege, Rhett Titus. Great win for TJ Wilson over Jack Evans, I usually find myself mistaking Evans for Teddy Hart and that's probably because they are both $$$$$ d*ckholes. Wilson using the Sharpshooter was interesting, but wish he innovated his own finisher. Immediate heel turn is good. Alex Shelley beating Davey Richards is fine, would of been a good match but cuts Davey's undefeated streak off. Nigel McGuinness beating Jay Briscoe is okay; never cared for the Briscoe Brothers in singles action, really. They only really entertain me as a duo. Great match between Homicide and Chris Sabin, Homicide winning is fine by me. No half-time interval on this show? Hmm. Fantastic defense of the ROH World Tag Team Championships by Roderick Strong and Austin Aries over AJ Styles and Matt Sydal, I just wish AJ hadn't been taken out midmatch. If TNA pulls AJ Styles from ROH, please give him one last ROH World Championship shot before his departure. That'd be a fantastic farewell for AJ. Didn't see Delirious winning the title in any way, so Bryan Danielson retaining is for the best. I didn't exactly see CZW beating ROH as CZW's team is just pretty weak in comparison to what ROH's team is. And with Samoa Joe on there, he's undefeated so despite it being an eight-man tag, it seemed like Team ROH would win. Chris Hero is fired? Damn. Hopefully he comes back without the gimmicked CZW faction and gets a big push. I really didn't like the CZW/ROH angle in real life. You captured it as good as possible. Good show overall.

- I like Jimmy Jacobs getting the victory over Jimmy Yang in the opening contest. - TJ Wilson is terrific and I love his victory over Jack Evans. - I love Alex Shelley defeating Davey Richards, I think that is brilliant. - I am not a big fan of Nigel McGuiness so I would have liked Jay Briscoe to win. - Homicide defeating Chris Sabin was the right call. - Generation Next winning makes a lot of sense and I hope they have an awesome reign. - I am happy to see Bryan Danielson retain his title. - Team ROH defeating Team CZW in a sick main event makes sense and I loved it.

-The Jacobs/Titus pairing is interesting, glad it led to a win for Jacobs though -Glad you noted that Evans and Wilson knew each other well. Thank god Wilson won, push him please. I'd love to see a Pure Title reign out of him -Like that Shelley ended Richards' short undefeated streak, push them both as well -Nigel over Jay is the right call, like that he won with the Tower of London as well, shows that Nigel has a lot in his arsenal -Homicide over Sabin is good, I remember 'Cide was getting pushed at this point -Fantastic ROH World Tag Team Title match, loved it in real life and loved it here -Loved that Delirious put on a good showing, but glad that Dragon kept the strap -Sick main event, Team ROH had to win and I'm glad they did. Hope to see Hero return very soon and get a spot on the ROH roster
Great show, I hope you keep this diary going because I love ROH

ROH Newswire
June 20th 2006 - The big announcement for the week as already mentioned is that Japanese living legends, Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi will be competing in Ring Of Honor on July 15th 2006 at Death Before Dishonor IV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kenta Kobashi will be teaming with the current ROH World Champion, Bryan Danielson and they will be facing the team of Mitsuharu Misawa and Nigel McGuiness.
June 20th 2006 - Before the ROH World Champion gets to team with Kenta Kobashi however, he must defend the World Championship against ¼ of the winning ROH team at The War Ends Now, BJ Whitmer on June 23rd 2006 at Throwdown in Detroit, Michigan. Whitmer has recently became a fan favourite in Ring Of Honor and he is hoping to use that new fan support to help him become the new ROH World Champion.
June 20th 2006 - We’ve seen a new team form recently in Jimmy Jacobs and Rhett Titus. Titus has been helping Jacobs win his matches recently but at Throwdown, they will be in their first tag team match as they team up with “The Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson to face off against Jimmy Yang and the ROH World Tag Team Champions, Generation Next (Austin Aries & Roderick Storng.)
June 20th 2006 - NOAH superstar, KENTA returns to Ring of Honor action to compete in four corner survival at Throwdown and he’ll be competing against Jay Briscoe, Homicide and the man who came so close to winning the ROH World Championship just three days ago at The War Ends Now, Delirious. Who will come out on top on one of the Ring of Honor fans favourite matches of the night?
June 20th 2006 - Before teaming with Mitsuharu Misawa on July 15th 2006, the former ROH Pure Champion, Nigel McGuiness will be in action at Throwdown against crowd favourite, Ace Steel. Steel has trained many wrestlers who have came through Ring of Honor such as CM Punk and the man who defeated Nigel McGuiness for the Pure Championship, Colt Cabana. McGuiness is looking for some retribution by beating Cabana’s trainer in singles action.
June 20th 2006 - Just days after failing to become the ROH World Tag Team Champions at The War Ends Now, Matt Sydal will go one on one with AJ Styles in singles action. Styles was seen to be upset with Sydal after the match on June 17th 2006 and it seems ROH management have put this match together to allow these men to blow off some steam. This is sure to be some fast paced action.
June 20th 2006 - After the brutal cage match at The War Ends Now, Jim Cornette announced that the four members of Team Combat Zone Wrestling could keep their jobs if they shook hands with the winning team. Three of the four men refused with only Claudio Castagnoli doing so. Chris Hero was annoyed at his Kings of Wrestling partner but couldn’t do anything about it as he spat in Samoa Joe’s face, resulting in Hero being left in a pool of his own blood in the middle of the ring. Castagnoli on the other hand still has a job with Ring of Honor and will be competing against the hard kicker, Ricky Reyes.
June 20th 2006 - Colt Cabana defeated Nigel McGuiness for the ROH Pure Championship on June 3rd 2006 at Destiny after making McGuiness do something he rarely ever does, tap out. Now, just six days after competing in the bloody cage match at The War Ends Now, Colt Cabana will defend his ROH Pure Championship for the first time against “The Crown Jewell of the Embassy” Jimmy Rave who is sure to have Prince Nana by his side.
June 20th 2008 - The final match for Throwdown to be announced will see the man who came up short in defeating Alex Shelley just three days ago at The War Ends Now, Davey Richards will compete against "Mr. 630" Jerelle Clarke. Davey Richards suffered his first Ring of Honor loss against Alex Shelley and now he wants to get back on his winning ways.
June 21st 2006 - Ring of Honor can now announce that the winner of the Four Corner Survival that is taking place in two days at Throwdown will challenge for the ROH World Championship at Chi-Town Struggle against Bryan Danielson or BJ Whitmer. There’s a lot now on the line for the four men competing in that match and all of them will be looking to get the win.
June 21st 2006 - When TJ Wilson competed against long time friend, Jack Evans at The War Ends Now, everyone expected a fair no rule breaking match which was indeed what happened. The aftermath however no one expected as TJ Wilson delivered a devastating Yakuza Kick to Jack Evans knocking him out of the ring. It was confirmed that Jack Evans suffered a concussion because of that kick and now he is seeking revenge. Jack Evans has openly challenged TJ Wilson too a Fight Without Honor match at Chi-Town Struggle and we’ve been given word that the match will take place. ROH Throwdown Matchcard!

Loving this and loved the last write up the double main event sounds amazing and also pushed Nigel up, all the matches make sense and had aliot of thought going into them, however you did say Reyes in the write up when you meant Clark, the fight without honour sounds great, I'm pulling for KENTA to win the four corners and face Danielson but I don't mind any of them, good luck and keep this up

I'm loving the Jimmy Jacobs/ Rhett Titus alliance and it certainly adds a new aspect to Titus that hasn't been used before. Hopefully they can go on to do something big. Your using TJ Wilson really well, and his apparent heel turn could certainly lead to a great push, since I've always thought he worked better as a heel, although he could do with some kind of manager. While I like that Shelley picked up the win I was pulling for Davey Richards to have a longer undefeated run. It could have been just the thing to push him into the main event scene as a potential championship contender. Nice to see Nigel getting the win following losing the title. He needed to regain some momentum and I'm hoping that we'll see him step up for a rematch against Cabana. Sabin/ Homicide was a great match, and its good to see Sabin featuring in Ring of Honor, hopefully it isn't the last time we see him used. Awesome tag match, and the team of AJ Styles and Matt Sydal certainly needs to be used some more. I'm enjoying Generation Next's title reign, hopefully it continues for a bit longer. The world title match was great, but I knew Delirious was never going to pick up the title. The main event was great and superbly written, and its good to see Team ROH picking up the final win. The aftermatch was good, and its good to see Castagnoli staying on, and I hope Chris Hero comes back down the line.
