I work for a firm called SERCO, not the best company but the job itself is good, working in a magistrates court in the cells dealing with prisoners, you get Control and Restraint training just incase the prisoners kick off and you have to deal with it, so we get to fight the prisoners some times. You could always get a part time job and do a part time college course. I kinda wish I stayed in college longer but Hey Ho, got a mortage now so back to work I go. I work for Serco too!

Ive just finished a 4-year Business Studies degree at Coventry Uni. I got a 2:1 (hons) overall, with an average of 68%. As part of this I had to do a years placement. I was the toy department manager for a year at a Toys R Us. (TRU is split into toy, multimedia, bikes and babies). Although I did really well at this and my department came 2nd out of 73 in the yearly rankings, it was a horrible place to work, especially at christmas when some weeks I'd work 100 hours and not get paid a penny extra. Im now working part time for my local Tesco Express, running shifts for them. I am only doing this until November to save for my 3 month, round the world trip, which I talked about in this thread: wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wfuk2&action=display&thread=129787When I get back, I want to try and find something with my degree, possibly in logistics. I really dont want to get back into retail management, but atleast I can fall back into it if other things dont work out. Sorry about giving my life story

I'm a graphic designer for a company mainly dealing in web/e-commerce design. I would definately stay in education as long as possible. Enjoy life while you can..... once you are in a job and you have tbills to pay the world is a much darker place. haha:)

Been unemployed for over a year now since I failed the course I was doing at college and left. In that stretch I've only managed to get 2 interviews, but I've ben doing some voluntary work at an Oxfam shop since last October, which is alright. Just this morning got an email from McDonalds though saying I have an interview with them in a few weeks, so score =D... :l
I'd rather that though than continue to be jobless, so all the better if I can actually get the job.

Just finished a foundation degree in Retail Management which I got a 2:1 for. This year im doing a top up 3rd year so I come out with a full honours degree in Business Management. After this im hoping to get onto the Aldi area management training scheme, (£40k basic, rising to £60k within 3 years, yes please) but need at least a 2:1 on my degree overall to get on it so a hard year ahead.
Whilst doing the foundation degree I did a 2 year placement with John Lewis at their Oxford Street store and theyve said theyll fast track me to section manager and onwards if I want to go down that route...
And I work for Next at the weekends, am a weekend supervisor but often run departments. As you can probably tell from all this, its looking like im staying in retail.

English, Politics, Economics, History at A - Level for me. Wanted to be a lawyer but English sucks and I'm thinking about dropping it. Politics is interesting so you never know, I could be the male Maggie Thatcher.
