In the spirit of "The Rise and Fall WCW" DVD which has been recently released I feel a little left in the dark about some subjects (considering during the Russo era I was only around 10). That being said I use to watch Monday Nitro every Monday during this era, however there is stuff from that time period that still brings up questions.
1. What was the deal with Russo/Hogan at Bash At The Beach 2000?
2. Why did Nash become head booker during this time period?
3. Where was Bischoff during this time frame?
--Now remember I was a huge WCW fan but it has been 8 years since they have passed. So I don't mean to come off dumb in some of these questions just a curious wrestling fan trying to learn my history

I'll try to answer based on what I've heard.
1. Hogan had creative control of his character and russo wanted him to lose to jarrett. Hogan said no way and so russo and jarrett made a big deal of it and jarrett just layed there for hogan to pin him. This made hogan mad and russo basically fired him on air by saying he wouldn't use hogan anymore. Pretty much a classic russo "worked shoot" which may or may not have had hogan in on it.
2. I think Nash was head booker just before russo came in, not during. He had a lot of pull with bischoff and basically said "let me do it" and he did.
3. Bischoff hated the idea of nitro being 3 hours, plus the addition of thunder being introduced. It was too much tv and everyone was over-exposed and watered down. Executives were telling him what he could and couldn't do, so he fought it and was burned out, so they told him to just go home. Basically was fired and ready to quit anyway. He was brought back to work with russo for a while, but that didn't work
