Besides seeing Rudd getting old the movie lacked that time when they are hating each other. It went Beginning/End, no real substance.

It wasn't that funny, but it was a good movie. It's so predictable that the two leads will find each other, have a happy, healthy fish-out-of-water relationship, "break up" and resolve their crisis just in time for the credit roll.

Because the best part of this movie was when they werent friends right? The funniest parts are when they are at each others' throats, but that was only 5 minutes in this movie.

I thought I wouldn't like it, but I loved it. Besides the aforementioned chemistry, there was a funny Andre the Giant impression from Seagel. I just loved the Rush references. Since Rush is the greatest band ever and aren't even in the HOF it was nice to see them honored to the degree that they were in this film.

Had its moments. Weak story held together by a great chemistry between the two leads. And what exactly about the story was weak again? Don't be an ass because I don't agree with an opinion of yours. And since you'll ask, saying "again" is being patronizing since I never said what was weak about it in the first place. And the plot of the film is that a guy needs a best man for his wedding because he has no male friends. It's a very weak plot that's just used as a background for Segel and Rudd to joke around and showcase their chemistry. Don't get me wrong, I laughed and enjoyed it, but that's really all the film was; Rudd and Segel cracking jokes.

Some guys are like girls, they get so wrapped up in their relationships, that most of their guy friends just vanish. Their friendships are basically non-existent and when they want to hang out with a friend, they realize they really don't have any. In this case, Paul Rudd's character came to that realization. He met someone, and they instantly became friends. What's so "weak" about that? Of course it was just a "background" to make jokes...it's a comedy. They told a story (which to be honestly, has never really been done before)...they made it fun, the chemistry was great. I don't see how it was "weak" at all.

I liked it. Paul Rudd is always great and one of my celebrity crushes is Rashida Jones. The one thing I wasn't too keen on was the fact that Paul Rudd's character had a lot of awkward bits in it that didn't need to be in there, but I guess that was just the character Paul Rudd was playing. Overall I really enjoyed it.

They told a story (which to be honestly, has never really been done before)...they made it fun, the chemistry was great. I don't see how it was "weak" at all. Sure, it's realistic, but that doesn't mean it made it any better. But most comedies manage to merge the plot with the humor. In this case, it was all about the humor, and the plot just became a necessary vehicle for the movie to get by. I didn't care for the forced dissension they started to tease between Paul Rudd and his fiancee, whose name escapes me. Maybe it's because I didn't buy their chemistry or because it was completely unnecessary. As far as being a background for the comedy, I disagree. If you watch something like the 40-Year Old Virgin or Knocked Up, the plot stays strong throughout the whole film. The plot is actually important and you begin to care about it, while the jokes are still a prominent part of the film. I just wasn't feeling it here. Again, just because it can happen doesn't mean it was good. I'd just say agree to disagree, pretty much a matter of different opinions, right?
