New Set Images - 9-1-09

Why should I believe any of those will look the same when they are produced, IF they are produced?

I can only begin to imagine what kinds of details will be left off of all thes awesome protos. Its really disgusting that I have to say that, too. I mean after POURING dollar after dollar into this company for the last 3 years...you'd think they could at least make accurate figures. After seeing those DA22 loose figs (swagger with no outline, christian with no belt) I am thoroughly convinced Jakks is going to make the CHEAPEST figures they possibly can to conserve as much extra profit before the contract is over. Its a damn shame too because a year ago if all these figures came out there would have been zero complaints about lost details. Ah well...

My thoughts on the Final Jakks lineups (for those that care)

Adrenaline 39-

To me this set is garbage. I don't collect female figures so having 2 in a set is a complete waste. IF Undertaker looks like that I will end up getting the HBK/Taker pack and probably keep it MOC. I'll also get the Kidd pack for Tyson and sell/trade Natalya.

Deluxe 23-

It'll be nice to save some money. If these stay as all exact re-releases you can count on my buying ZERO. As I already will have them all. I thought the "Best of" sets were supposed to be exclusive all-re-release sets??? Garbage. They are all good figures...but what a waste when they could have made so many others or even switched colors! I don't get it.

Deluxe 24-

- At least they finally admitted they suck and are just showing Jericho with his snow boots instead of building it up only to be let down. I guarantee he won't have the boot detail anyway so I'll be needing ANOTHER pair of tall DA kickers.
- MVP is awesome, can't wait to see how they F it up.
- Matt Hardy is awesome, I really hope they don't leave off too much detail
- I like the black/pink for Rey, that will be a nice exclamation point on my Rey DA collection
- WHY, WHYYYYY do they have to F up a perfect set with a RE RELEASE? ENOUGH ALREADY!! All they have to do is change the green to yellow or black and you have a perfectly good, NEW Kofi. Kids will still want it, parents will still buy it, and collectors like me will want to buy it because its something the DONT ALREADY HAVE.
- Kidd looks alright, I still think that scan sucks. I'm sure he'll be in snow boots too. Yuck.

Best of '09-

What can you say? Its a set designed to be re-releases. LoL at the HHH. Still doesn't have the current RA Kane beat though.
I would only hope that the Rey would actually look like that instead of the one we got. That would be a cool surprise.

OK I get it, a set of re-releases. Fine. Saves me $60.
Now this is what angers me...there are 8 guys who SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN updated RA figures. Regal, Benjamin, Carlito, Santino, DH Smith, Kane, Morrison, Knox.
They couldn't have picked 2? I'm not asking for Regal in his royal robe and Carlito with "real feel hair" just a basic upgrade to figures that are 2 years old. Shelton has had blonde hair for like 2 years and not even had an RA style figure in ring gear with blonde hair. WTF??

Maybe they'll fix Rey and give him those MMA gloves? haha yea right. The figures themselves are all good in their own right...and at least Jakks isn't trying to hide the fact that they are just lazy and make too many of the same figure. I look at this as a positive, I'll get to save some money for the holidays.

- Wouldn't be the end of the Jakks line without what must be Cena's 60th RA style figure (if not more) There's $10 I don't have to spend

- You know that Matt Hardy will sell, I really hope they don't cheap out on it too much. It looks awesome. The DA scan really works for a "heel" MH
- Its amazing they really can't decide on which Rey body they want to use. I like the All Silver concept but Rey wears so many different outfits this was just the cheapest one left they could find.
- I'm really shocked they are re-releasing an exclusive. I think its possible they are giving him the blue attire, but we'll see the newer scan on it instead. If not, thats kind of a kick to the nads for all the people who bought the exclusive (me included) Even though you get the coat & belt with the 1/3000 its still supposed to be "exclusive" Still, it will be nice to have a loose RA Edge in blue on my display shelf, and it in itself, is a really good figure
- Nice MVP, will buy it regardless

Does anyone happen to know.....why the ....Tyson Kidd gets tall DA kickers, with full designs........and Chris Jericho, one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE and on Smackdown.......not only gets short kickers, but short kickers with a design that will most likely be removed much like his last figure.

On a Positive note both matt and mvp look great as does The Hart Dynasty Set

Now if the figures actually turn out the way they look in the protos, then I will get them. I actually get worried and a bit sad every time they show good looking figures because we know that they'll end up being crap. The latest DA set with Swagger and Christian is a great example

I will only get Kidd/Natalya and maybe MVP. Then I am done as a collecter. Why cant TNA be in RA,

Probably going to have to get AD Tyson Kidd/Natayla, RA44 Matt Hardy, and RA44 Kofi Kingston. Those figs look great!

That Kidd head still looks horrible.

Another terrible release by jakks. Ill prob pick up the tyson kid and natalya fig the rest are really poor. At least jakks have saved me money before Mattel take over.
