TNA president Dixie Carter is interviewed on the New York Daily News website. Her goal, as it's always been, is to move Impact to Monday night to compete with Raw. Just for the record, the only time Raw and Impact went head-to-head, because Raw aired on a Thursday night, it didn't work out too well. Impact's rating plunged to around half of what they usually did and were pretty much obliterated in every demographic. (credit: Mike Aldren)
Carter believe that because TNA programming has beaten WWE shows overseas, Impact can compete with Raw on Monday nights. She remains optimistic that Impact can compete with Raw, despite the fact that WWE destroys TNA in all business categories - house shows, PPV buys, DVD sales, etc.

It's worth a shot. A lot of people are starting to hate Raw and will want SOMETHING for wrestling to watch on Mondays.

as much of a TNA fan I am, I don't think there is a chance with them competing against RAW

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA My exact reaction, sir. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear this from Angle and Lashley within the next couple of months, as well. I'm sorry, but attack ECW. Thats their best bet. Go Tuesdays from 9-11pm. Too many main stream wrestling fans will choose RAW over iMPACT!, to see Triple H, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, etc. Also, if they wanna compete with anything... they need more time for wrestling. I love that the Mysterio/Morrison match alone, almost matched the wrestling time on this week's entire iMPACT! Freakin' hilarious. - Triple S |

If they do go through with it, that could easily be the end of TNA. As Triple S said, if they want to compete at all with WWE, get a time slot that matches ECW. ECW is WWE's 2nd smallest rating show- but matches TNA. There is no reason going after a show that gets 3 sometimes 4 times their rating. |

Boy she is dumb.
iMPACT normally only win on the ratings in the UK when smackdown is pushed back to 11-12PM otherwise they dont win. RAW live is on at 2am so its bound to beat that but that is a very silly reason for her to think they could win the ratings war in the US where it really matters.
