It's not exactly like it could be much worse than the product is already.

I <3 that girl who has that "What am i doing here?" look on her face peopard type jacket?? us lol i agree and i agree and get what your saying, TNA's idea of action is interviews and backstage goble-dee-gook..... just awesome matches would be cool and but not all the in ring intro's just on the way down is cool, make them EARN! that title and not go with fan favourite(jeff/cena) and then it'll be like NWA prestigeness and awesome-ness..... just dont go all kicks, n holdsand guards.... keep the wrestling still, but TNA will go ott as usual, BUT I STILL LOVE TNA'S PRODUCT ;D more-so before christians time but his time was awesome, im not dissing him as i love his charisma but after he's main run it was crap with steiner and angle

Frank Trigg VS AJ Styles said it all... I actully enjoyed that tbh. I know, I know.. "I enjoy everything TNA does" but still. I thought it was entertaining. I know, but the reaction from the ImpactZone faithful said it all really...Especially when they were chanting 'We Want Fake Wrestling!'

i dont think that the US audience would be into fake mma. theres already so many people whod rather watch UFC, etc. over wrestling because its of fakeness. i dont understand why any of those people would begin to watch a fake version of something already out there. and theyd lose the attention of the niche of fans that watch wrestling for wrestling.
aaand i dont think tna could actually pull it off correctly for more than one match.

They have wrestlers not MMA fighters. Matches are predetermined and MMA bouts are not. No offense but this is a horrible idea. I know but its all about presentation. The UFC gives us pro wrestling style backstories and what not. Why can't wrestling use the sports rules etc. to present themselves?

Erm..Sorry...I know that too, but it seems like the same fans from the ImpactZone go to all the same TNA shows, PPV or otherwise...They know what they want, as do we, eh?

If TNA offered more Mussel Shoals Mammajammas, I might not get bored so quickly.

I always thought TNA should incorporate aspects of MMA into their product to differentiate from Sports Entertainment. Does that mean having weight classes or matches consisting of three five-minute rounds? No. It means producing a show that emphasizes competition over entertainment for entertainment's sake. It means having several guys ready to challenge the champ instead of circulating the same two or three. Each division would have it's own set of guys and the belts that represent them would be treated equally. An X-division guy taking on a Heavyweight would be considered a big deal and not just a squash match. The Heavyweight titles would be thought of as no more prestigious than the Tag team or Heavyweight or Knockout titles. That's what I think of when the concept of incorporating MMA into Pro Wrestling comes to mind.

Matches are predetermined and MMA bouts are not. Yeah like MMA organizations always throw the "top contender" against a guy. People often pay to see a guy get destroyed. People know the outcome. Look at how EliteXC crumbled. They booked Kimbo against crap and made him look good, then he got beat by a real fighter. Plus the fact I know a guy who actually WROTE WFA. As much as I even enjoy UFC, to say matches are predetermined in a way is bullsh*t.

Most of you that responded don't get what he's saying.
I think an organization that would adopt the good from each era of wrestling and incorporate some MMA presentation could really hit it big right now.
You take 80's era, early 90's, a splash of new era and some MMA and you've got greatness.
I think what the biggest thing that's wrong with pro wrestling today is most feel like..."hey, most people know it's "fake" so why try and make them think otherwise." That's pretty much why WWE has gone to sh*t and TNA is headed that way because they're more concerned about competing with WWE than anything else.

I didn't mean actually incorpate mma into the in ring product, i simply meant presenting wrestling like more of a legitimate fighting sport ala UFC. With real enforced rules, standards, and divisions. Real life storylines without bad comedy. But with worked pro wrasslin matches ;D
