Newsday reported that Jack Foley, the father of former WWF and TNA champion Mick Foley passed away yesterday at the age of 76. Foley wrote in great detail about his father in his first autobiography Have A Nice Day. The origin of Foley's Cactus Jack ring name actually came from Foley once trying to trick a friend into calling his father "Cactus Jack". Foley passed away following a long illness and was scheduled to induct Mick into the Ward Melville High School Hall of Fame next month. Our deepest condolences to the Foley family on their loss.
The Associated Press picked up the story of the charges against Kurt Angle being dropped
I also got a text from %^&* that BG James & Jim Cornette have been released from their contracts.

I think I've seen Mick Foley's father on his bio channel bio. Any death is a sad one, this is no different. Cornette being released is a big loss for TNA in my opinion.

Ah  , that sucks about Jack Foley. I've read Mick's books inside and out and remember all the stories about him. RIP. |

RIP Jack Foley.
The way Mick wrote about him, plus his short appearance on 'Beyond The Mat' painted him as a great man.
Wonder what Cornette will do now though...

To not be completely ignorant I will say my heart goes out to mick.. I fear the day I lose my mother or father, so even at an age where Foley is grown, has kids of his own, greatly successful and his father is already facing age and illness. It must be devastating. My condolences are with him.
On the other end of the spectrum, I can't find a reason to support keeping BG, however, releasing Cornette is just a shot in the foot. He's the kind of guy you want to have around forever and no matter where his heart is, he's made it clear his ass is not going back to the WWE, so TNA spited themselves.

RIP Jack Foley. According to Mick, he was a pretty cool guy. He kept a lot of newspapers, which is also cool.
