As you're all well aware, Angelina Love was released on September 3rd due to issues with her work visa. And if you've watched any Impact since then, you also know that she had taped Impact all the way up to No Surrender.
Within those Impact tapings, the Beautiful People made it to the finals of the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament. Also in those tapings, Madison Rayne rejoined the BP after losing to them in the quarterfinals. At the time, this was an incredibly stupid idea, having her rejoin so soon after getting kicked out (unless there was a huge SWERVE planned, which wouldn't surprise any of us).
It was after those tapings that Angelina was released. This is where a stupid idea becomes serendipitous: replacing Angelina in the tournament, at least from a booking standpoint, is easy, because Madison is back in the fold. Replacing her from a creative standpoint, however, is far more diffcult. They have to come up with a reason why Angelina isn't there.
I have come up with several possible creative solutions to this problem, just out of sheer boredom. Vote for the one you think will happen, or should happen, or just the one you like best.
1. The Paul Heyman Approach
Straightforward, to the point, and requiring the least creative thought: TNA, probably in the form of JB, Lauren, or Mike Tenay, simply tells the gospel truth. I named it the Heyman Approach, after Heyman's handling of Sabu's no-show and the Lawler/Kat situation.
2. The Vince McMahon Approach
Velvet gets a phone call from Angelina regarding some sort of issue (travel problems, family emergency, or, keeping in line with the gimmick...A BLEMISH!!!) preventing her from being at the event, forcing Madison to take her place. On the following Impact, Angelina is unceremoniusly booted from the team in absentia (see DX after WM14). This happens regardless of the outcome of the PPV; if they lose, it's because she wasn't there, and if they win, it's because they don't need her.
3. The Vince Russo Approach
Angelina's replacement is not Madison Rayne, but in fact...Candice Michelle! SWERVE!!!
4. Out of Sight, Out of Mind
They make no mention of it, replace Angelina with Madison, and hope we don't notice.
