Spike TV yesterday announced that they will be showing Global iMPACT 2 for the first time on network television, October 8th at 11pm.
The show originally took place December 14th last year and featured matches involving TNA wrestlers including:
The Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) challenging Yujiro and Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) challenging Togi Makabe and Toru Yano in a Hardcore match for the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
In the main event Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash teamed with Masahiro Chono and Riki Chôshû to take on Giant Bernard, Takashi Iizuka, Tomohiro Ishii and Karl Anderson.
The event also featured talent who had previously worked for TNA in the US including Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, Hiroshi Tanahashi and former X-Division Champion, Low Ki (who later returned under the name Senshi).
Were hoping over the next couple of days that there are further confirmations that this show will be featured in the UK aswell as other networks that TNA is featured on.

About freaking time

I don't know if people can handle the epicness that was known as that hardcore match.

The first one was great. Still haven't watched the DVD yet, but the TV special was really enjoyable. I hope this one is as well.

How many matches are actually going to air? The only TNA match worth anything was MCMG/NO LIMIT. So they better show Muto/Tanahashi.
I wouldn't be surprised if they showed Misawa/Sugsy vs. Nakamura/Goto because most wrestling fans are familiar with Misawa now (for all the unfortunate reasons) and Nakamura worked a dark match. Nagata/Tanaka won't be shown and that was one of the best matches of the night.
Why even air it if you can't air the complete show? I already have the full show on DVD. It has been available since late January. So meh. They're going to water it down so badly.

The first Global Impact was one of the best TNA shows I've ever seen. The build up through the show to Angle & Nagata was epic.

This is really pointless anyway. The event is nearly a year old.

why exactly is the picture in both wide & short screen format? It's missing about 1/3 of the screen, since it has a full border of widescreen. Strange to say the least

I saved this on my Comcast DVR and it was all screwed up. Frozen screen, didn't tape half of it. Anyone else have technical issues?

I enjoyed it. I think with the expection of the screwed up screen, it was put together very well besides the tag team title match going on last.
