I'm not dissapointed in some of it. I have to admit. They're coming out of the gate strong. The HBK stuff will be a very nice addition to Ashley's HBK collection. I myself look like I might pick up some of the Elites and some of the Basics. I hope to God they fix that 1/1,000 belt before it hits.
Nice show, Mattel. Now let's see you actually keep this up.

Just remember....these are protos and Mattel's first crack at this. Lets give them a chance. They way surpassed my expectations. Those CM Punks look great, the Beth Phoenix figure is amazing, holy crap, I can't wait to transfer to Mattel.

Jakks won with their half-painted, half-assed figures? I think not!
I stopped collecting in 2006 because I couldn't stand paying $7.99 for a figure that wasn't even finished. It was a rip-off in it's truest form. I won't even pay $4.99 for them now at Wal-Mart, because $4.99 still isn't worth getting a half painted figure for. I look for quality when I purchase something.
This is Mattel's first crack at WWE figures. They have a little experience with the TNA line, so they know the ins and out. If you guys don't like the over-done shading on the muscles, speak your opinion! If you think the head scans could be better, let them know! We're paying for the product. Mattel is very good at delivering what they're customers ask for.

The figures look good and look like they may match up well with the jakks stuff which would be great. Thanks for the pics.

i dont like most of them, but the elite figures, the entrance gear, and santino/beth sets do look great, and ill most likely get them. the others look to much like the r3 line from jakks which damn near made me loose interest in collecting...but atleast some of mattels offerings will keep me engaged....as i patiently wait for some more classics!!

after looking at every single proto and reading through all 18 pages of most of you kissing Mattell's ass I really think some of you are just jumping the gun because Jakks in the last few months has been cheaping out the END of their contract.
This Mattell stuff is mildy impressive/mildy offensive
Stuff I like: Elite series- cool idea...price is too high, Jakks made Undertaker figures in trenchcoats for under $10.00 (those aren't full coats...they are sleeveless just like Jakks)
Entrance greats- something I always wanted Jakks to do...put a figure with a little stand that plays their theme. Definitley a cool idea.
WM heritage- cool seeing current superstars in "classic" attire, but I've already got all of those guys in their respective attires in Jakks figures so none of them are necessary to me
Stuff I dislike:
Pretty much everything else. Forceflex are just dumb, the rings are copies of Jakks rings...the belts are whatever. I don't really care about all the kiddie stuff.
The price points are too high. Another reason I'm glad I made the decision to not start a new collection.
The bodies in general, they look just as, if not more, unrealistic as Jakks. I appreciate them being "in scale" with each other though.
I'm really not all that impressed or excited about this. Actually I don't care in the slightest anymore. I've already made my decision, there are plenty of cons and some pros with this Mattell stuff. Out of everything I'll end up buying that Elite CM Punk, and maybe the Entrance "greats" but I'm not breaking my bank anymore for WWE figures.
I say Goodbye to the pre late-2009 Jakks WWE and you WILL BE MISSED

The Elite and WM Entrance figure sets look great. I will get them.
The basic sets are well basic and suck to serious collectors to us. The kids would like them though.

im really liking the style of them, just wait and see how they match up to RA
definitely buy people like Bourne, Rey and Kingston, people who are suppose to be small and now actually are
im liking it but until i get my first Bourne figure and compare it to RAs, im not planning on investing that much money into this, but it does look very detailed
