The new figures are way better than jakks. There are a few bad ones, but Mattel at its worst so far is miles ahead of Jakks at its worst, and Mattel's best so far is miles ahead of Jakks at its best.

Mattel 2-Packs 1 (case of 6) HBK / Y2J - 3 per case Ted Dibiase / Cody Rhodes - 2 per case Glamerella (Beth Phoenix / Santino) - 1 per case Well that means that I have to really look for Beth. That is nothing new, the divas are always hard to find.. I might have to preorder her and for sure Mickie. What is the Mickie figure and do you have a pic of it? Beth looks awesome! rsctrevor posted a big list of new figures yesterday. kaneisdaman quoted it on the previous page. I am just glad that Mickie is the second diva to be made and not someone like Maria or Kelly. .

I don't see the problem, we have new molds for almost every wrestler. We have no cheapness here, apart from that one line which is supposed to be cheaper than the rest, I believe. Basically, learn to deal with it. Bitching isn't going to get it over. Mattel are new, they're bringing action figures to a whole new level - no more cheapness, no more superhuman muscles, no more stupid torsos, no more lack of detail, these figures are amazing looking. We actually get real t-shirts this time. Hell, MVP even has TWO of his necklaces. Rey Mysterio has his second mask that he gives to the crowd, for the love of god. How can you hate this? They're going to look great on my shelf.

I look at it this way. Jakks' first figures were the BCA series 1. These look better then Jakks' first attempts.
I don't get what the complaining is all about for the Flex Force and other stuff, because those will be bought by the kids I am sure. I know collectors hate when figs are catered to kids, but thats what the demograph is geared towards for figures.
The Elite and Basic series looks fine by me, and I don't see why people wouldn't collect them. Now if the scans and stuff get worse instead of better, then there is reason to complain.
I don't collect anymore, and haven't really since BCA's stopped just because of money and quantities being made. But I think Mattel has a good chance at making some solid figures.

Right now, nothing beats the Jakks' Real Scale stuff.

Okaay.. They have really gone out of their way to make different types and sets.. I don't think all that was necessary, but ok.. The Basic and The Elite catch my eye the most.. I originally planned to collect all the past Jakks figures I've missed out on so one day I can have one last huge Wrestlemania figure show.. Of course.. That is on my bucket list. But these protos made me throw a huge middle finger in the air right towards Jakks.. (that would make two since I already have one pointing out them for the lack of D'Lo) With incredible detail and accuracy in scale and build, I say it.. I'mma start over.. And have my final WrestleMania with these little action figure pieces of art.. The only thing I'm confused on is the Elite set.. Is that some sort of removable kicker pad on CM Punk??.. Hmmm.. idk what that would accomplish except for "look what we can do".. I hope we get plenty of legends eventually.. And I am curious to how hard customizing would be.. Seeing as I will need a few extra's in my future bucket list fed.. *coughteddyhartcoughcough* Here's to you Mattel.. All I can say is. Don't up the ones that go into our stores.. Let's enter 2010 with a new slogan.. Consistency. ;D

Over the top muscle scaling on most of them. . The Jakks body molds where s**t though, they were over the top. Triple H example shows it the best, the Jakks figure is just a bulge of roundness.

I look at it this way. Jakks' first figures were the BCA series 1. These look better then Jakks' first attempts. That's not really fair to compare them by that. First of all, those BCA figures are 13-14 years old and they were ok for that time period compared to other action figures. Second of all, that was Jakks Pacific's first shot at the big time and their first ever attempt at wrestling figures. Mattel has been making figures similar to their new WWE figures for about 2-3 years now (DC Universe, Ghostbusters, Masters Of The Universe).

Not to mention that there have also been MASSIVE technological advancements e.g. scanning instead of sculpting etc that allow mattel to dish up something far better in quality than BCA's.

The figures really look awesome! I look forward to seeing them in stores. Like others have said, I hope to see figure belts down the line. Also, the cloth clothes are a nice touch! I am actually curious if the Undertaker's and Edge's coats will be removable unlike what Jakks has done in the past. Anyhow, 2010 will be a good year.

I guess Im the only person that just isnt impressed by the protos I wasn't blown away with what I saw, it was pretty much what I was expecting except that flex-force stuff. That was just....bad. I really hope that you can switch the heads with RAs, because these heads are terrible. The joys of sculpted heads over the real-scan ones. The prices on most of these figures are VERY ing high. Unreasonable. More detail and a bigger manufacturing base means higher costs. Just hope stores decide to price at or slightly below the MSRP. Once Mattel learns what works and what doesn't (Flex-Force/ Elite) and can slide a few repaints in a wave the costs should go down. I will get a few of them, I do like the Triple H and Punk figures, and a new Cena wouldn't hurt. I will give Mattel a chance but honestly I feel like I'd rather put that money into old Jakes RA figure collections that are showing up left and right.

The Elite series looks okay but the legs look too big and edge's head looks horrible. The Basic series looks okay but I dont like the over muscles bodys and the legs again look werid. Enterance gear series is Amazing, a LOT of deatail and they look just epic. Wm herritage figures are also amazing, this and the entrence gear seris are the best figures from mattel. Basics 2-pack seris looks good but again look strange. Lol at Santino though. Everything else looks horrible to me
