I HOPE kids go for these, but I see them passing them up for the better figures, leaving the Flex Force to warm shelves.

I know what you mean, I guess its trial and error, if they sell they'll last if not goodbye, Im not a huge fan, I would have loved if they made them short and bulky like hasbros, that would have been a nice throwback

Yeah, well with all these Kid aimed lines, you start to think, hang on will all of these make it past the first part of the year? I mean the megaphone is of course a one off release, same with the Ultimate Championship, unless they make it in both ECW and WHC versions. But as stated, children just want figures they can play with, and ones that look good, 8 year olds these days dont care for action packed figures, they actually also look at the details as well, so you never know how these lines will go. My prediction is it may not last, but children you never know  |

Adults generally decide to buy kids the more fun looking and cheaper stuff because their kids they'll break them easily so i think they will awhile.

I don't really understand the point of the Flex Force figures, since... Well, y'know... Almost all toys are aimed at kids anyway. The Basic and Elite figures aren't going to fly off shelves if it's just adults buying them. So I question the wisdom of splitting the market like that, but we'll see. I plan on getting everything. I wonder if everything we've seen so far is going to be in stores or if some of it'll only be MattyCollector or other internet exclusives.

I hope they do poorly, so Mattel will focus more on the good figures, and not those 2nd-rate flippy flexers.

They put me right off mattel, as half of the figures look horrible because of them being out of porportion and cartoony.

Yeah, why have a line for kids...when they are all toys? The other figures have the articulation kids need to play just the same. I think the Flex ones might have features that interact with the rings though, which could lead to them being popular. I still doubt it. They aren't cheaper than the Basic. Plus kids will see "Elite" and think it is the coolest thing ever and want it.

I'd get a few of these. But only of the superstars I really favor. Simply because I'd like to have the weapons and the 20 minute dvds.

I'm buying them for the weapons. I think they should basically bring back Grapple Gear and take out the Flex Force.

The porportion looked great, and the cartooness came from a bad case of over photoshopping.. Other than that.. Detail is amazing man.. Check again.. Because that Evan Bourne, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, and Santino Marella looked amazing.. So did Beth.. And Cody Rhodes.. I think the year 2010 is a test run anyways.. Try a few things out.. Then start changes before 2011.. I don't see Flex Force being around longer than a year or two if Mattel keeps the license. |

I don't see anything wrong with Mattel doing a line like this. I would rather them put all the springs in these than infect the regular lines with them. As for which ones kids will want - I could see kids wanting these because of the accessories (and the actions won't hurt). Part of what attracted WWE to Mattel (besides their famous name) was their commitment to pursuing the "kiddie market". This line sort of represents that, and could have been part of what led to them getting the license. The mistake is in judging Mattel by Flex Force alone. That would be like judging Jakks by their Vinyl Aggression line.
Will it last? I could see it either way. I don't think it matters, really (unless they hang around on the shelves for months, stopping my local stores from ordering more figs X( ).

i can see alot of people buying them for the accessories but when it comes down to it, people will want their CM Punk or Matt Hardy with better detail but will parents who around 70% of the time have control on what they get will say the elite is too expensive for a toy, maybe as a one off, present for xmas or bday or just the one figure but if the parent is alone buying for the kid i dont think they will choose a certain line,theyl just get a bit off everything because they probably wont really be interested in the product so wont go for the best stuff
it is just trial and error, its too unpredictable to call befor theyv even started being bought yet
