Hey guys! As a few of you know, for a couple of months now I have been going to car boot sales to try and complete my collection of figures from my childhood. When I started out, I just wanted to get the Hasbro's which I needed, but I noticed that the Galoob figures were much easier to find, and as there aren't all that many in the range, I decided to try and collect these too as a sideline. I am pleased to say that I have now managed to complete the whole set loose, with each figure in great condition! What is most suprising to me is how easily i was able to pick all of these up, and also how cheap they were. I think it has probably cost on average about 30p-50p per figure! I would definately urge anyone in the UK to get out to your local Car Boot sale(s), especially on a Bank Holiday weekend if possible. You can usually find a full listing of the Boot sales in your area within the 'Events' section of your local paper...I know that the Express and Star does this every Friday. Here are a few quick pictures: Here are the 'extra' figures that I have been left over with. In most cases I just asked the sellers how much they would want for all of the figures they had, and they would usually throw them all in for a pound or so, just to get rid of them....crazyness! If anyone is after any of the extra figures I have left over, please feel free to let me know

Amazing collection you have there I used to see Galoobs and Hasbros ALL the time at car boot sales about 9 years ago, but recently I haven't seen any! I'd like to collect these, but because me and my brother were always more into WWF, my dad always said to stick with Hasbros. If I do see some now, i'll definetly pick them up.

Yeah, I never collected any WCW figures when I was younger either. To be honest, it was quite rare to see them in the shops in my area...certainly a lot more difficult to find than the Hasbo ones, which were EVERYWHERE in 1992 - 1993 Good times! I remember once I saw the 'Dudes with Attitudes' Galoob pack in a newsagents near my house the day before I went on holiday....I saved my money all week, just so i could buy those figures, and when I got home they had gone! Broke my little heart! haha.

Haha, the plight of the toy collector. That's got to be the most annoying thing. Many time i've seen something, hesitated, waited and when the right moment came, it's gone. lol

boot sales are great, i picked up a Hasbro blue ring a while back for a couple of pounds and saw the flag in a seperate box from the same seller and the seller didn't even know what the flag was she thought it was from her sons old toy soldiers!! unfortunately you need to get there early and my local one starts at about 6am, as kev85hasbro will confirm, and most Sundays that's just FAR too early after a busy week in work

I think that the Galoob ring may be a bit too rigid for the Hasbro figures. I remember as a kid that my friends with the Galoob ring would always have really battered Hasbro figures with limbs missing! Maybe they were just more hardcore than me?? hehe

Maybe they were just more hardcore than me?? hehe You should have seen my homemade WCW ring (Yes times were desperate!). It killed the figures I'd asked for the WWF ring but my parents decided to make me one so I had a wooden ring. With cushion pads and skirting (deluxe!). My mum painted it and wrongly copied the WCW ring from a catalogue rather than the WWF one. I used to wrestle wrestlers against thundercats as well. There was some serious size advantage going on there. Looking back it certainly had some character, wish i'd kept it to display my figures in now.

Thundercats figures were definately hardcore! I remember hitting my knuckle with the Monkian arm swing mechanism, and my finger went blue! :s We used to have an awesome metal fire-grate, which made a great cage for my figures to climb up at the side of the ring. I swear WCW stole the ThunderDome cage from me!

Haha thanks dude! I think the key is to seem as un-interested as possible.... "Y'alrirght mate, how much do you want for the MOC Hasbro Moon chest Kamala, Summerslam card Dusty, and Rhythm and Blues Greg Valentine??.....I'll give you a pound for the lot! .....throw in that Postman Pat jigsaw too....." hehe

Haha. One guy tried to convince me that there was a British Bulldog Hasbro where he was wearing boxing gloves, that is really really rare!!!
I told him that it was extremely rare....as it never existed
