I for one am pumped for 1-1-10 and am wondering about when/if we'll ever see a couple guys in Mattel form.
So what I'm doing is buying R-3 tech figures from ebay that we may not see in the Mattel line. I just won: RVD, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and looking to get Nash and Hall soon... And I know we will see an Undertaker and Jericho but I got their old versions (aba taker and long haired y2j)
So is anyone else planning on doing anything similar for feds or display? Because from what i've read and seen they will be close in scale.

im gunna wait for 1.1.10 and see how the figs match up to R3 and ttl for that matter, then il probably buy people like RVD and Angle but try and customize them with mattel body parts as much as i can
it all depedns on the first hand product

Yea I'm doing the same.. I was actually a huge fan of the R3 concept until Jakks.. Did what Jakks does best and get lazy.. Using the same parts over.. And over and over and over and over again.. I stopped buying at that point and time..
I remember seeing an r3 Hurricane and Lance Storm at a Toy Fair and was blown away.. Never got released tho.. But yes.. I will imply some of my old R3 collection into the new Mattel

Smart moving buying the Benoit, as we will NEVER see another figure of him on store shelves. Ever.

Yeah I was a HUGE R-3 fan. The RVD's I thought were always great with the detail in all three of his outfits. The first Matt Hardy they released was great too. And the Benoit, Jericho ahh I could go on.. And that shirt mold on the Rocks were great too! But yeah, leave it to jakks to f up a good thing!

Well, I am focusing on figures we may never see again, but not R3.

The only R3 figs that I bought were an RVD and a DDP. I was not a fan of R3 so I was actually glad that they scrapped the idea and went with RA.
If the scale is really close then you are really smart but if you can't do much with them then it kinda sucks but at least you seem to like it in general.

If the Mattel basic figures move or feel anything like R3's I don't think I'll be a happy camper.

I didn't think of it until I opened up this thread. It seems like a great idea. I'll def. be looking out for older superstars to be in scale with the Mattel figures.
