I disagree that an up-and-coming superstar needs to win it. I think an established star capable of headlining WrestleMania should win it, whereas Money in the Bank and the middlecard titles are for the younger guys. It's not out of the question for Edge or Punk to win it next year. I'd rule out HBK, as I doubt he has any interest in being anywhere near the title again.

If Edge returns at the Rumble, I see a brawl or osmething between him and Jericho leading to neither man winning.
It's still too early for me to predict as World Titles are changing more often now.

The people I could see are Edge, HHH, Tista or if they drastically push Dibase he could.

I know, I know, it's a few months away yet. However, it's never too early to start thinking about the Road to WrestleMania, beginning with the great Royal Rumble. At this point seems like a repeat win by Hunter. Maybe a surprise win by HBK, not that he needs the win. If it's not going to be a repeat then who? Shawn has said numerous times that his days of being a real contender for a world title are done and he has no interest in carrying the belt anymore. I'll go with Edge as a suprise return/win.

With the rate that WWE is pushing them...I would say McIntyre or Escobar lol
I am going with Cena or Edge.
If Cena loses at Bragging Rights and goes to SD, winning the Rumble would be a perfect way to switch back over to Raw and challenge Orton at Mania.

Edge, by eliminating Chis Jericho at the end. Jericho wins the belt at NWO, then its Edge/Jericho at WrestleMania 26. Or have all that happen but have Punk win the belt in December or at the Rumble, and have a triple threat Punk/Jericho/Edge.

Established guys like Edge are likely (if he returns by then), but if WWE are going to start the decade with a surprise push, then you bet your ass it'll be Morrison or Swagger.

Hopefully NOT Edge or anybody who can main event Wrestlemania without winning this concept that WAS supposed to build up new people. With that said, I'd like to see Jack Swagger or MVP win. IF he is healthy and that is a big IF, I see Edge winning it. I have no problem with him winning it. Taker , an established star won it, John Cena, certainly an established star, won it, HHH, ORton. Don't see the whining about Edge winning. IF it is ok for HHH (when he came back from the quad tear. He surely didn't really need to win it), Orton, Cena (DEFINITELY did not need to win it) , Taker, and hell, even VINCE MCMAHON winning it, don't see what is wrong with Edge winning it. He has never won it. If Edge is not ready yet, I see either Morrison, Jericho (another established star, btw) or Swagger maybe winning it.

Right, that's why Hulk Hogan won two of the first four Rumbles, one while he was WWF Champion. That was before it was to get a shot at Wrestlemania. Hart-94 Rock-00 Austin-01 HHH-02 Benoit-04 Taker-07 Cena-08 Orton-09 They were all established stars already, nothing really "new" about any of those.

WM possibilities in mind, i'd say Edge.
Jericho vs Undertaker at TLC, rematch at Rumble, Jericho wins the title at one of them, Edge wins Rumble, Edge/Jericho at Mania.
