No, not that first series of an illustrious tag teams figure set which has caused grief to many collectors late to the game, but the very first one that also happened to feature the Legion of Doom. This one dates back to 1997 and was Jakks Pacific's first attempt at a series consisting of only tag teams; there never was a series two, but the 2 Tuff series continued in the same vain, although also emphasizing major feuds or wrestlers and their managers. I created a similar thread back in January of 2008 to see which of two BCA Ultimate Warriors was the favorite among fellow WF members, and Series 2 Warrior in blue attire crushed the exclusive Survivor Series 4-pack Warrior in green, 17-7. This time around, we have all four tag teams from the aforementioned series to choose from - The Legion of Doom, The Godwinns, The New Blackjacks and The Headbangers. Obviously, the question is which do you like the most? You can choose your selection in the poll and/or reply to this thread but, either way, thanks for taking the time to look and feel free to share your opinions of these figures or the BCA line in general.

LOD was one of the first BCA sets I got and one of my favorite tag teams. I got the HBK, Bret Hart, and the Godwinns from my mom and grandma for my birthday

Well BCA sucked back then, but that didn't stop me from buying the Road Warriors. So Road Warriors. Now just add a Hitman (black tights & pink top) & Warrior in blue and that was all the BCA figures I bought prior to the KB "Backlash" sets with real scans.

Anyone know how long the BCA figures were produced? I never collected these. I did have the LOD set for awhile though. How many BCA were made? Does anyone still collect these?

This whole series was great and I have them all somewhere. For some reason I love The Godwinns more than anyone else.

I voted Godwinns thinking it was there heel attires (confederate flag-style) as those I loved! But I still go with Godwinns.

Anyone know how long the BCA figures were produced? I never collected these. I did have the LOD set for awhile though. How many BCA were made? Does anyone still collect these? The original BCA figures were produced from 1996-1999 before being phased out for the TTL line. The original KB Exclusive Backlash Series lasted for five series with repaints of original BCAs until around October 2001. There were hundreds of BCA figures made altogether because of the numerous repaints and re-releases, but 80-90 on-screen characters were introduced to collectors over that short span of time (84, in my estimations, unless you count several gimmicks of the same person). I started re-collecting them in the summer of 2007 and would consider myself an active collector if I see something that I still might want. eBay is great for starters and nearly all BCA figures can be found relatively cheap these days. Oh, and to keep the thread going, my vote goes to LOD. Even though I prefer the Shotgun Saturday Night Series 1 figures with the larger Executioner arms, the red shoulder pads and simple red and black color scheme looks great and makes for an excellent 2-pack. The Headbangers and Godwinns are excellent for debut figures, too, and received great repaints later on, as well. Least favorite would be The New Blackjacks because of their molded-on cowboy hats and entrance attire, but I still appreciate the great detail of their cowboy boots underneath.

I didn't think it was possible, but I have finally found something that I disagree with PJ on! BCA were/are AWESOME! Hands down my favorite wrestling line ever. As for these BCA Tag Teams the LOD were awesome, but I honestly used (I still played with my wrestling figures back then) the Godwinns all time.
