Hopefully he can have a solid IC title run and actually get some important wins and prove himself, instead of just "cashing in" and being thrown into the World Championship picture with no build up.
CM Punk needs wins....he's got ONE win in his WWE career that means anything, and that's over Jeff Hardy at SummerSlam

I told you soooooooooo[/Punk] I said Punk will have nothing to do as soon as the big dogs come back, and what happened? Nothing, that's right. Punk is doing nothing, you can thank me later for the spoiler. OR, we can wait and see what happens on this week's Smackdown - just a thought.

He'll stay in the main event and may feud with a midcarder.

Ideally, move to Raw and feud with Cena. I really, really am not looking forward to more Cena vs HHH and Cena vs Michaels.

He'll still be in the title picture... he won't just start randomly feuding with Matt Hardy - and besides which, Matt Hardy is more or less irrelevant, anyway. There must be a reason why Vince has been appearing on Smackdown, more or less only to be around Punk... Punk is going nowhere. Hopefully his release from WWE... Go back to the MMA boards.. Haha aslong as you stay out of them...

Anyone who thinks he's going to go "back to the midcard" because he lost a World title shot is clearly biased and illogical. Orton lost his title and isn't getting a rematch; is he going back to the midcard? No, neither is Punk. Just because you're not fighting for the Championship does NOT mean you're not a main eventer. And like it or not, Punk is a main eventer, and will sooner or later be fighting for the World Championship again. He's only 31 years old. Barring any unfortunately injuries, Punk's going to be around for a long time and will hold the belt again sooner or later.

Ziggler is so overdue for that title. Morrison should drop the belt to Ziggler around Rumble time. Punk can feud with a random mid card face like Matt Hardy or Finlay. If Rey isn't doing much then that could be his best one on one WM opponent. If not then he will probably be in the MITB which he better lose this year. . .

The difference is, Orton has been consistently in the hunt for the world title or feuding with other main eventers for 5 years straight and is likely to be back in it when he's done with Kofi, hopefully not because Kofi could use Orton as his stepping stone by remaining unbeaten against him in this mini-feud coming up. Kofi is making the step up. Punk has beaten Jeff Hardy and is now getting bumped for Chris Jericho and two big ass bores. So there is room for Punk to be deemed as a guy who got put in the main event for a few months and is now being kicked back down. I however think(hopefully, because it's an instant credibility booster) he will win the rumble in 2010, probably with Orton & H in the final 3. Imagine Punk number 1, Orton number 2 and going all the way, amazing, H could be number 3 or 30 and either go with them or eliminate Orton before Punk won. If he doesn't win that, his main event appeal would be severly burnt. If he then won in a chamber it wouldn't matter, too late. CM Punk has been booked so poorly. And those are the options. I don't trust them to turn him into the star he could be.

Punk is doing nothing, you can thank me later for the spoiler. Randy Orton isn't getting a title match at the next PPV. That doesn't mean he's no longer a main eventer. Punk will be fine, and he will be champion again. "I'm Marino13 and my words were thought out, then typed. After that they were read by you!" That's the new catch phrase I'm working on. Still needs some work though.

punk Vs Christian would be good. I think He should be a mid-carder until he returns to the WHC picture by doing something like the Edge/cameraman thing.

He'll be moved back to ECW, have a great feud with Goldust, then take the ECW title back. They will then make ECW 2 hours long, and finally unify it with Smackdown which will result in Punk holding both the ECW and WHC. A guy can dream, can't he.

Randomly Feuding with Matt? Are u crazy? Jeff vs Punk REMEMBER,Punk was responsable(in storyline terms of course)for killing the carrer of Jeff in the WWE in the storyline ,man,Matt vs Punk would make sense, and would be awesome, they have more chemystry than jeff vs punk
