Worst Celtics game I have ever been to. The refs were almost as bad as the Celtics, even if the refs didnt favor Lebron, the Celtics would have lost by double digits the way they played.

I'd like to know why Battier never gets recognition for any of the all defense teams.

Well, when Kendrick Perkins is throwing his body at LeBron for flagrant fouls... yea, if I'm the refs I'm calling everything to protect the game's sanity as well. Boston will bounce back, LeBron is hurt and Boston just had another off night. There's no way they roll over and die. This is the year they could have really used home court advantage. Wait, I thought you sold your tickets?
Battier should probably get recognition at some point for his defensive play but... I really don't know how to call that one. I think he's a bit inconsistent, I guess. I can't recall any specifics, but I know he's been beat down pretty hard on some big assignments. I think it was commented on in this thread here at some point this season. I haven't paid anywhere near enough attention to the Rockets further than the numbers to know if Battier deserves at least second team this year.

In only his third season, LeBron took Daniel Gibson, Damon Jones and Larry Hughes to the Finals. There wasn't another All-Star in Cleveland during LeBron's Finals run. True, but the east at the time was horrible. I don't think they played 1 legitimate team in the playoffs. Wasn't z an all star at one point? Larry hughes used to be decent.

Its nice to see the Suns finally beating the Spurs. I'm almost certain they would have at least 1 Finals appearance by now if it wasn't for the Spurs.

Last night was a horrible night for Boston sports. The Celtics got destroyed by the Cavaliers and the Red Sox got destroyed by the Yank.

As I said before, that game 2 loss was going to help the Cavs get their sh*t together.
If I'm the Suns, I might look to lose game 4, they're insanely hot right now and a big layoff might be enough to throw them out of their rythm.

LOL at the notion of ever tanking a playoff game, especially against the Spurs.

They beat the Pistons who were shortly removed from a game 7 Finals loss to the Spurs and the Nets who were not what they used to be but still no slouch either.

The Hawks don't want to even be there today.

I think it's partially that the Hawks have run their course under Woodson/this group of players and also I'm starting to realize Orlando might be just as much of a contender as the Lakers.
Think about it, if it weren't for one missed layup and then in another game a Trevor Ariza steal... Orlando was up in that series 3-1 against the Lakers. Couple that with Orlando's impressive play in the playoffs so far and LeBron's elbow mixed with Cleveland's lack of depth.... if Vince Carter keeps it up, they could win it all.

Joe Johnson is one of my favorite players in the NBA, but hes just looked terrible in the playoffs.
He can't carry a team, and that makes me think Atlanta might let him go. If he doesn't stay in ATL, I think Chicago is the best place for him.

Chicago actually would be a glorious fit for both sides.

Joe Johnson is gone, whether Atlanta wants him or not. I can't say I will really miss him. I am hoping he takes Mike Woodson with him.
While the Magic are a better team, the Hawks are better, or should be better than how they have played most of the playoffs. To me their lack of skill, desire, heart, and a clue as to what they are doing all comes down to Woodson, who I haven't liked since he was hired.

Yea I mean if you listen to the mic'd up segments with Woodson he's generally not saying anything somebody off the streets couldn't say and there's also a lot of silence in those huddles. Mike Brown's are terrible too... he's just screaming things like "WE NEED TO GET BAAAAACKKKKKK!!! WE NEED TO PLAY HARDEREEEERRR!!!!!!" At least when Doc Rivers or SVG do it they're giving them a gut check, not just sounding like a JV high school coach.
I was convinced the Hawks were better than this too, but the playoffs really show what's going on with each team.
If Wade or Johnson go to the Bulls... they're going to be legit Eastern teams. If it's Wade they'll be about what Cleveland is now when it's all settled. The Bulls have more there, but not by much... and Wade can't dominate as consistently as LeBron but still can't take games over. As long as he had a team that played like the Bulls, they could compete with anybody.

I don't see them letting both Johnson and Woodson go. People mention how his record gets better each season, but I put that on the players they drafted, which isn't a total credit to Woodson. They shouldn't have lost more than 1 game against the Bucks, and should be a lot more competitive against the Magic.
I'd rather go for Avery Johnson if I was the Hawks, or any team that needs a HC for that matter.

If I have to listen to Avery Johnson talk for an entire season, my head will explode.
I would replace Woodson with any available coach though. He is terrible. The average margin of loss for this series is going to be about 30 points. I mean, that falls on more than just the players executing. I think his record getting better every year is more a result of the young players just maturing with playing time, rather than anything he has done. In fact, had we had a different coach, I think Smith, Williams, and Horford would be better players than they are now.
I'd love to think we could let Joe go, and let Mike Woodson go, and have a shot at a new coach, and Wade, but no way am I that lucky.

Hawks should go get Vinny Del Negro....
I think losing 1 game was excusable, maybe 2 to the Bucks was excusable if Bogut played. The last half of the season, the Bucks were one of the hottest teams. They weren't your typical low seed.
