Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter were both flat out awful in this series... if they both play at least average (instead of being the two worst rotation players for the Magic for much of the series) the Magic are probably playing a game 7 on Sunday at the very least.
I still hate his guts, but Rajon Rondo is making a very legitimate case to be in the discussion of the best PG in the league. Boston is playing some good ball right now.

Orlandos problem wasnt Nelson it was Carter and Lewis and just like Lebron, Howard had no help and his "help" had no heart.
Vince Carter is arguably the fakest and most disgraceful superstar of all time. He is a waste of talent.
I am shocked....still shocked at the Celtics for how far they come, I hope it continues

Hey, under Rafer Alston passing first and running an offense Rashard Lewis was worth the money and hype in last years playoffs.
If Jameer Nelson isn't the biggest problem, how do you beat great teams without a point guard? Orlando with Jameer Nelson just plain do not. Without a combo dribble guard, Orlando was competitive in the NBA Finals.
Just saying, Jameer Nelson got raped at times in this series. I mean real bad, he looked flat out lost on both ends of the court. Not to mention, SVG ripping him on the sidelines multiple times this playoffs, and tonight.
And this is the guy bringing the ball up the court creating the offense that's going to beat Boston?
There's not a team this deep with a low quality point guard such as this. Or a combo guard running point, whatever you want to call it.
They're going home and lucky they never got swept.

Concerning Carter... yea he's not a great player.
But at least tonight he had the knowledge to go to the rim after shooting poorly in the series.
Maybe if they get a real power forward and run plays for Howard rather than Nelson, Lewis, Carter and the SF all looking to Jack a shot or dribble a slick move. If they had a real PF and a PG running a play, Howard could get open.
Carter and Lewis are supposed to score and look to. But if they are guarded well and the offense is as creative as I just said about the big man and all shooters... you're stuck with that even when it's failing.

I agree, when the Magic win it's completely to the credit of Howard, Lewis, Carter, Gortat, Redick, Banres, Pietrus, and Jason Williams.
And when they lose it's Jameer Nelson's fault, and is the worst PG in the league. Totally agreed.

He had 27 assists in the 6 game series. Conference Finals. Terrible.
Orlando as a team had low assist totals.
Nelson got whipped down by Boston's back up point guard to close it out. It was on display on both ends of the court. He was rocked in all 4 Boston victories this series. Watch the games and look at the stats.

Dude I agree, Jameer Nelson is a disgrace and should be traded immediately.
I think LA closes it out tonight.

I wonder if the Magic make any major trades. They've screwed themselves from getting any decent FA.

Nelson isnt ideal, but he was not the reason they lost. Same with Lebron and Mo Williams, sure he isnt what Rondo is or what they should be, but Nelson helped more than he hurt.
Lebrons teammates and Howards teammates are soft, heartless and frankly, just not as talented as they should be/thought they would be.
The Celtics have teammates willing to sacrifice themselves and their stats, and for all of Perkins drama, Rasheeds nonsense, Pierces dramatics etc...none of them are called soft or pussies.
I personally dont think Howard can win with even better role players, he needs a superstar or a very great star next to him, not role players, just like Lebron.

Go Boston! It took longer than I wanted really, but they finally put Orlando out which makes me happy.

I can't stand orlando or their coach. They shoulda never got rid of Turkolou. He's a complete assasin from the perimeter. Carter was the equivalent to the Sixers getting Brand. Big name stars with little power. I want LA vs Boston 2!!!

I've always known Jameer is the most inconsistent PG, if not the most inconsistent player in the entire league. But he wasn't the reason the Magic lost this series. For the most part he's been their best player in the playoffs. I would place all the blame on Rashard and Vince.

You'd be amazed what a good leading point guard can do for "soft" players... especially if they're around a big man like Howard. Just saying, their biggest problem was lack of good shots or a stagnant offense, in all of the games they were struggling in or losing. Just saying, that starts with the point guard.

Kobe needs some revenge, and also get ahead of Shaq (if I'm not mistaken?). This might be the last series with all the Celtic starters intact.
This will be an epic series, and I hope Kobe wins his 5th ring.

"This starting five has never lost a series, ever." famous last words. Celtics have never lost a series with KG active. boo yah Nor have the Lakers with both Bynum and Gasol active. Although, Bynum looks more like a ghost out there than a basketball player. I hope it's better than 2008. That series had so much hype because of the teams at hand but it didn't once feel like a legitimate rivalry. It didn't have that game intensity tha rivals are suppose to have. I would expect them to crank it up a notch this time having had some hisotry together now. The Lakers probably have more concerns than Boston does I would think. Bynum's health, weak bench and the streakyness of Artest's shot. If they want to win, they got to get more from their bench and Artest otherwise I see Boston winning the series.
