You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. They are heavy metal/rock now, but Metallica is considered one of the big four of thrash. That statement of yours proves you don't know anything of the genre, therefore, don't even type out one of your ridiculous replies. Just stop. To me, Metallica is considered Classic Rock/Heavy Metal, if they are listed as " trash " that's great. But that might be the only band I know that are considered trash. But if so, none are better than Nirvana, you just simply can't compare them.. It's stupid. Comparing " trash " to grunge. This is like comparing Lil Wayne to Tupac. Did this thread ACTUALLY just degrade into another in Nirvana arguement? Seriously this thread had nothing to do with Nirvana.... Some people are going to think Metal, in this case Thrash, is better than Grunge. It's just what happens. There is no need to make an argument about it all the time.

Metallica started the thrash genre, they put thrash on the map. You have no idea what you're talking about. The fact that in your closed little world the only music that's good is music that makes it on Mtv's top jackass list is a shame. Your opinion is that grunge is better, that's fine. But you act as if it's a fact, which it isn't. And yes, I have Led Zeppelin on there because they're one of the best classic rock bands ever. I listen to far more than just thrash metal.

Metallica >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nirvana >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dave Grohl's failed attempts at rekindling the love.... end of story Metallica >>> Nirvana is your opinion. Nirvana >>> Dave Grohl don't even make sense, since Dave was Nirvana's drummer. and.. Dave Grohl's " failed attempts " at rekindling the love makes no sense neither. So you failed... Three times... In a roll... I give you a kiss.

@perpetual, I'm with you. I have no clue how this degraded into another Nirvana thread.
Face it, and this particularly goes to you, oskanowski. EVERYONE has their opinion on what music they like and dislike. But they are just that. OPINIONS! You can't force your opinion on others as fact, and try and bash everyone else for their opinions. Me personally, I think Kurt Cobain was an incredible artist. You won't get any arguments from me. I also think that he was a lyrical genius for his time. No question.

I'm sure Asher Roth sampled Weezer's "Say It Ain't So" if that counts.

The audio on "You Stole" is off, and since "Bones" isn't the studio version this doesn't work as well, but the riff's are incredibly similar.

Metallica >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nirvana >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dave Grohl's failed attempts at rekindling the love.... end of story For what it's worth, I'd take the Foo Fighters over Nirvana 100 times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and twice on Sunday.
