Unless your the Undertaker, streaks in wrestling mean nothing.  Oh the one that may have been overexaggerated and was ended by Nash? Whats up with how they end big streaks? Show does nothing on RAW, gets moved to Smackdown and all the sudden is a threat. Ends the streak and wins the belt, just to lose it a month later. They build Joe up real nice and then Angle comes in and ends it just like that. Dont get me wrong I love Angle, but the streak should have built to a title win. But the one that bothers me the most is that of Orton as the sole survivor. 2003,2004,2005 all ended with Orton as the sole survivor. Three years in a row. Then in 2006 the extremely deflated DX reunion came and ruined it. Not only Orton, but his entire team was made to look like a bunch of bitches. The question of Michaels and Triple jobbing can be argued, but here they should have went the other way. |

I posted this in the Evan Bourne thread.. This was my two cents.. Thought it would get more swagger over here.. In other news.. They have completely taken all the swagger away from Jack Swagger.. I at one time had high hopes for his character. But to have the last name "Swagger".. He does.. What? Absolutely nothing.. Smiles like a dumbass and pounds his chest.. Even when he tries to cut a promo, Little Miz interrupts him.. Rly?.. The Miz has the ability to stop a 6'6''- 275lb man from talking? But Swagger kept a smile, with his happy ass.. I would seriously have killed myself tonight to die satisfied.. if Kurtwood Smith.. Mr. Red Forman himself, stepped in and called Swagger a dumbass.. Ron Simmons style.. I mean, give this guy some aggression.. Or a backbone.. Or something, anything! He's looking like a push over with that promo last night.. And on that note.. Why do we continue to call the creative team, creative? |

I didn't know Swagger lost to Bourne, can't believe it. He's great, I don't know why WWE doesn't try to push him better. Beating Primo Colon won't get people to care about him. And the fact that his push might be going to a complete scrub like Sheamus is sad. Hopefully Sheamus fades into obscurity and gets sent to Smackdown by draft time.

He does not have the looks or the ring skills to be anything more than what he currently is. Also for those that think him jobbing to Bourne in tainted fashion makes him look bad, then take into consideration that Swaggers lack of ring pressence makes him look much worse. |

Yeah, this here is kind of the same except typed by you...sooo welcome to the club buddy! It's really stupid they ended the streak. Storyline wise, they could have made him a tank. It would have made the Miz/Swagger feud more entertaining. In fact, I may have broken my streak and watched Raw. |

Since it was brought up, I loved Lesnar's streak. It was a real shame they ended it with Big Show in about 4 minutes.

The WWE has been doing this for years. They push a guy hard when he debuts to establish him as a contender & then they pull the reigns back. It doesn't shock me at all.

In a weird way I think it ended because of Sheamus. Once he came to RAW (so far dominated) it seems to me he may be getting the mid card heel push that Swagger was in line for. Just a guess though. If they give Sheamus a push that Swagger was supposed to get, WWE is really  ing up. agreed. i've never seen whats so great about sheamus. swagger on the other hand... |

I think it sucks that Swagger lost, but I think he's still gonna recover and become a very big name in the years to come. I like his ring work and I think he has a great look & size. I don't think he's bad on the mic either. If anything, I just hope he keeps getting better. |

Also the days of the ugly heel have been over for years so he has that working against him. The only gimmick that he can effectively pull off is that of a Herman Munster wannabee.. He has a lisp and if you don't have the mic skills or the charisma of a guy like Dusty Rhodes, then that's not a good thing either. Yes Swagger is tall, but he is oddly shaped and is lacking a neck. To sum it all up, he is nothing special. Sorry. |
