HBK vs. UT WM 25. So over rated. I dunno if your being serious or not but Im going to agree. It was by far the match of the night but to me its very over rated and the only reason its praised is because of the 2 people in it. You replace them with Matt Hardy and Kane and have the EXACT same match (same spots etc) it wouldnt get much praise. It just shows how much Mania 25 really sucked when looking back... anyway back to the question....Goldberg vs Lesnar, Orton vs HHH at WM25 and Hart vs HBK at Mania12....its a good idea until you have to sit through over and hour of head locks This is the worst logic I have ever, ever, ever heard. OK, let's replace Benoit and Angle in their classic matches with Matt Hardy and Kane. Same spots, same everything. They have the EXACT same match. Will it be as good? No. Because nobody gives a crap about either of those two. Just stop while you're ahead. Of course HBK/Taker was praised because of the two people in the match. People care about HBK. People care about Taker. The two have a history dating back to 1997 and know how to work a crowd. Christ, your post has to be the worst I've ever read on this board, and I've been here since 2002.

William Regal vs. CM Punk, could have been a classic, but was only given around 3 minutes if I remember correctly.

Brock Lesnar vs Bill Goldberg winner!! it should have been a super stiff power scrap like Goldberg Vs Steiner from Fall Brawl 2000 but instead of this the fans were shortchanged by Steph and Vinces revenge booking. it didnt hurt Lesnar or Goldberg-just gave them an easy last night.like I say it was the fans that got jipped.

Guerrero/Benoit from ECW One Night Stand. As amazing as both men were, and considering how great their matches usually are... I was thoroughly bored. Maybe it's just me.. Damn... I have to agree... that match didn't seem like a PPV quality match they would do... Now Vengence 2003, that match they had there was incredible. Mine though would be Goldberg vs. Lesnar, I was beyond disappointed in that one.

I've always been incredibly disappointed by Cena/Orton. I don't think they had a single match that really defined that feud or themselves as the current generation of the company.
Just recently, Jericho/Undertaker. Decent match at best, should have never been thrown on free-TV with no hype or build.

How could I possibly forget H/Orton. I never agreed with it main eventing Wrestlemania after being done so many times, but the feud was so perfect, and the match was so god awful.
Truly one of the most disappointing moments I've ever witnessed in WWE.

Every one of us has gone through it. We can't wait to see a match that's been announced for a Raw, SD! or a PPV. It looks great on the card and when you watch the match and it's over - you wonder, "wtf did I just watch?" Mine would have to be Triple H vs. Kurt Angle from Unforgiven 2000. I was so excited that they were going to face each other after all the antics Angle has done and after the match...man was I disappointed. Are there any matches that didn't live up to your expectation after all the hype and expectation going towards it? *Please, lets not write about the HHH/Steiner Royal Rumble trainwreck. We all know how that turned out and its been discussed to death. Let's get some fresh ones in here. Before I read that little disclaimer, that was honestly going to be my answer. The reason it stung so much, was that I was there and had to sit through it. Too bad I didn't need to pee.

Man, there are so many of these. But Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg, which I still think is the worst wrestling match I have ever seen, was obviously a huge letdown. I was so pumped for this match, as soon as they began to feud at the Royal Rumble...and of course, the match sucked ass.

I just watched Lita vs Trish from the main event of Raw in 2004 and that made me realize that their Survivor Series 2004 match was a total letdown. .
I guess it furthered the storyline because Trish had to wear that face mask but still to me it sucked. I am just glad that the Raw match made up for it.
Also the SummerSlam 2008 ecw title match between Matt and Mark Henry was a complete failure. I hate DQ's and that match was like 5 minutes.. Not that it would have been much better but still it was one of the biggest ppvs of the year and they do that.

Well, to say one that I believe hasn't been said, how about Mickie/Gail from Raw awhile ago. Two great women wrestlers, but the whole match was just weird and awkward and sucked.

So true and I guess Mickie v Natalya is in the same boat. Both could have been way better but hopefully they are allowed to have a better match.
