Title tells the whole story. What do you think will happen the day Hulk Hogan finally walks into the iMPACT! Zone?
I figured those 3 options really summed up what all could happen.
I personally see this has having a negative effect on TNA, but that's just me.

No effect at all.
Hogan won't do anything for TNA.

What do you mean by WWE contendor? Like, does that mean 1.5 rating and up or ratings in the 3s?

I guess I just feel like they already jumped the shark on this. I mean, you make such a huge deal about the signing. You show footage and make posts and talk about it all week long. And then......he's not even going to be on tv until January?
Remember how pissed off everyone was getting with the whole SAVE.US.222 campaign because of how long it was played out? Yeah....getting that same feeling.

What do you mean by WWE contendor? Like, does that mean 1.5 rating and up or ratings in the 3s? I mean high ratings, higher reveneues, higher attendence. The whole works. I'm not saying this is a "make or break" thing for TNA, but I can't honestly think of anything that would be "Bigger" for them if this doesn't work out.

I feel if they wait until January that he will have no impact.

Obviously just the signing of Hulk means more exposure for TNA, but what are the consequences if they don't really deliver? And for that matter, for a company that once had a firm grip on the claim that they were the "alternative" wrestling company, why does the direction seem to be heading towards the wrestlers of yesterday?
Outside of the business side, Hulk also claims that he is going to "teach the youngsters the ins and outs of the business." One of my questions would have to be is the wrestling business of today the same one of Hogan's era?

Its hard to vote on this. If TNA has put big bank into Hogan, he could run them into the ground. If he becomes a contender and refuses to job.....he could run them into the ground. If TNA becomes a retirement home for guys like Hogan, Beefcake, Nastys, Anvil, etc. it could be run into the ground.
BUT....if they are purely using him on an appearance basis to help promote the show, it could help legitamize them or have no affect at all.

As a huge Hulkamaniac I have to say it wont have any effect on the ratings. Will people tune into it at first to see Hogan? Ofcourse. Will it last? Not likely. And no I dont think they is any possible way for either of the over two options to actually happen

Just like thunder on ground in pokemon games - no effect. God those games were awesome ;D LOL, or poison on steel.. I agree with you. TNA will probably still get around 1.2. 1.5 would be a miracle. But it will be interesting to find out when it happens.

10 years ago Hogan would have made a difference, but now with all of his legal troubles and the antics of his ex-wife and son, I don't think people are into Hogan like they once were. As an attraction, TNA could make money with Hogan. But his time has passed for him as a main eventer.

-- It sorta seems like Hogan blew a lot of smoke up Dixie's a$$. She just bit into it because she grew up, like many of us who were there during the 80s, that Hogan is the "be all - end all" to wrestling. And he's not. Why? Because it's not 1984 anymore, nor is it 1994 either.
I see this being a bad investment of Dixie's, finacially. It's not going to ruin TNA to the ground, but I truely believe the payoff she's thinking probably won't come to fruition.
After all this blows over, I can only imagine how 'daddy Bob' will react to the thought of his daughter's decisions on his big investment of financing TNA Wrestling.
