When Smackdown was here in NYC a few months ago, they used the HD set. I think they just wanted to make it a special show, and it really was. Plus get more seats if you use the smaller set. I loved it. It was great.

WrestleMania 20 stage is small, lol. Not care if MSG is famous, but WWE should stop to do the show at there, and using different arena to do the show with better stage, etc, to put lots of effort to the show. [/quote] WTF? When did I said that?

last nights raw really did feel like a ppv. I also miss when the ppv entrances used to have stuff around them like over the edge 1998 with the cars along the entrance way now all the ppvs entrances feel the same with the HD sets.

Love these entrances. Just give off that exclusive feel that other arenas do not.

I guess it can be quite a nice change to see a very up close and personal kind of entrance. The atmosphere is always awesome at MSG, thats what makes it.

I loved it. I wish they would keep it. It gives the show a hole different feel to it.

I'm somewhere in between...
I love the MSG entrance, having the crowd so close to, and even above the wrestlers walking out, is just awesome. The focus on the ring I'm a fan of too. The HD sets, yeah, they are bland and the way they basically have the same stages for PPVs just makes each brand and each show feel the same.
However, I like a bit of lighting, I feel the crowd don't feel very included if there is no light what-so-ever on them. And also the lights, red for RAW and blue for Smackdown! is a nice touch in my view.
Take Royal Rumble 2007 for instance, that was way too dark and the crowd could barely be seen. Takes away some atmosphere for me, gotta have the bright lights.

I would love for them to use that set up more often...or just have more shows at MSG.

I think if they went to a smaller entrance it would make the whole live events seem less "impressive" The WWE is all about flash and presentation. The huge stage & entrance is there to make everything seem larger than life. I agree the new "HD" stage sucks compared to the old TitanTron...and I would definitley mark out if they brought back the 1994-1996 RAW Entrance style.
However, the way the product is put out there today, it just wouldn't make sense.
