You're right...the LvsLK Sarge does look better.
But for those who missed out on it....or don't want to shell out the money for one.....this is a great alternative. Myself included.
Thanks for that comparison pic.

JLU sets look good. Sucks you are paying so much for basically one figure though with all the repacks in that line.

Yes, after the LvsLK figure it's probably his best figure, but here was the one time I was expecting/wanting a straight rerelease and we don't get it. In a perfect world they would have dropped the t-shirt and just had flesh under the singlet top, because that's how I grew up watching him. Plus it's a shame they couldn't even throw a pair of sunglasses in with him. JLU sets look good. Sucks you are paying so much for basically one figure though with all the repacks in that line. Yes, but it wasn't too bad as they were $11.99 each instead of the $15.99. Plus with the Batman set you get two new figures in Waller and Gen. Eiling. If I got there about 15 minutes sooner I would have gotten the Super Friends set as well which was 3 new characters.

I like the old sarge, but this one does look good. Would have been nice to have a new headscan. Or some kind of heel sarge.

Hope you find the Superfriends 3-pack, I'm looking for it two. Those other 3-packs aren't all that, but I guess I'll pick them up.

I have the LvsLK set and I have to agree with you, the CS27 is downright inferior. However, it is still a good figure and perhaps a good representation of the Sarge when he thinned up slightly there for a while. Regardless, its a good chance for me to finally have a loose Slaughter.

I still haven't find the new wave of JLU 3-packs. I'm looking forward to the Superfriends 3-pack the most.
You're right about the new CS 27 Slaughter. It's not as good as the old 2-pack version.

Yes, being a child of the 70's early 80's I really want the Super Friends set as well...but the Waller set was the one I wanted most.
As for Sarge like I said above the one thing I've never been happy with about the Classic Sarge figures is they all used the LvsLK head which was a more modern look for Sarge. But they really should have had made another "classic" head with more hair for his Classic figures, because he had hair in the 70's & 80's. It was thinning, but he did have hair on top of his head.

The Sarge on the left in the comparison picture is definitely better!

Good stuff PJ.
Slaughter figure is OK.
Love Kang & the JLU sets. I have the Waller/Eiling pack on it's way to me.

Nice buys. Definitely agree with you on LK Sarge being the better of the two as far as the torso goes. I dont get why they didnt use that torso on CS27 because it isnt as if the torso is too chubby for an older sarge. Thanks for the pics though, CS27 Sarge is definitely a quality figure though.
