ECW: July 27, 2010 Preview
The ECW Championship will be on the line as Rob Van Dam defends against the man who defeated him last week on ECW, Drew McIntyre. Will McIntyre finally be able to claim what he has been in desperate search for in the past couple months? Or will he fall victim once again in a failed attempt?
Also in action it will be Shelton Benjamin facing Chavo Guerrero in a rematch from last week, along with Kenny Omega taking on Justin Gabriel. All along with this, a meeting between Vince McMahon and ECW General Manager Paul Heyman has been set up. [/font]

l JULY 27th, 2010 l AMERICAN BANK CENTER: CORPUS CHRISTI, TX l "What Is Yours, Now Is Mine?"
The opening pyros go off as we are welcomed to ECW by Josh Mathews and Todd Grisham. They say that tonight, Drew McIntyre once again tries to capture the ECW Championship against Rob Van Dam, and apparently, if he does - he will officially be a part of the ECW Roster as well as the ECW Champion due to pre-contractual stipulations. They also hype up the meeting between Paul Heyman and Mr. McMahon.
Singles Match Kenny Omega vs Justin Gabriel
The bell rings, and Omega immediately goes into the offensive as he takes Gabriel down and pounds down on him aggressively. He applies some grappling and submission holds before Gabriel fights back and ends up taking him down with a hard dropkick. They trade back and forth for a couple minutes before Gabriel is hit with the EX Hadouken in mid air on a 450 Splash attempt and is covered for the 3.
Winner of the match: Kenny Omega [8:31] **1/2
After the match, Omega celebrates his win, but isn't done. He pulls Gabriel to his feet with a sick grin and pulls him up into the electric chair and drops him into the German suplex. He gets up and Kaval is running down to the ring. As he gets up, Omega hits him with the EX Hadouken as well and then steps out of the ring in satisfaction at the lay out of the two he has caused.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Shelton Benjamin vs Chavo Guerrero w/Vickie Guerrero
The bell rings, Chavo trying to get some early cheap pins on Shelton, but he manages to kick out each time. Benjamin gets a few of his signature moves in including a hard superkick. However, he is caught in the middle of the Paydirt and dropped on his head. Guerrero then climbs to the top turnbuckle and goes for the Frog Splash, missing. Vickie distracts the referee and he ejects her from ringside, Benjamin hitting the Paydirt and getting the pin.
Winner of the match: Shelton Benjamin [7:55] **1/4
After the match, Benjamin celebrates his victory as we go on to the Summerslam video package shown on Raw featuring Zack Ryder, Kaval, and Michael Cole in Austin Powers. The meeting between Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman is up next.
Commercial Break
We return to see Mr. McMahon strutting down a hall with two security guards at his side, and he steps into a room to see Paul Heyman sitting across a table. He takes his seat with a grin and Heyman asks what he wants with this whole meeting. Vince says a few months back he set out a plan to "kill" ECW, but Heyman got lucky and was drafted here in turn for Abraham Washington and therefore he didn't sign ECW away. He says he knows that these people want to know how all of this ended up working in Heyman's favor, and, quite honestly he wants them to know. Heyman says it just happened to work that way, and he knows it. Vince says there is no need to lie, as a matter of fact, he told the whole ECW roster about it that Paul Heyman plotted all of this together to kill ECW. Heyman tells him to shut up as he stands up and throws his hat down. He says he has heard enough coming out of his mouth and Vince tells him that the people haven't and he continues on accusing him well Heyman denies it. He goes to strike at Vince, but security guards force him to sit down in front of the TV as Vince turns it on and says it's time for the main event.
Commercial Break
ECW Championship Drew McIntyre vs Rob Van Dam©
The bell rings, RVD unloading with strikes into the corner and then hitting a series of kicks. McIntyre fights back with strikes of his own and tosses RVD in the corner, continuing on. They trade a striking battle, neither getting the upper hand, for a couple minutes before RVD hits a spinning wheel kick and goes for the Rolling Thunder but McIntyre gets his knees up. As RVD gets up, he is hit with the Future Shock but he manages to kick out of a pin attempt.
Commercial Break
As we return, McIntyre has a headlock on the mat applied. RVD manages to swing his boot up after a while into the head of McIntyre and gets out of the hold. He takes momentum as he gets to his feet and ends up hitting the Rolling Thunder. He goes for the Five Star Frog Splash, but McIntyre rolls out of the way. As they stir up, McIntyre holds onto the referee and shoves him off then low blows RVD with a kick and hits the Future Shock and pins him.
Winner and NEW ECW Champion: Drew McIntyre [12:41] ***
The crowd goes insane with boos as Josh Mathews and Todd Grisham can't believe it on commentary as McIntyre is awarded the ECW Championship. He steps out of the ring with it and makes his way up to the ramp. However; Ezekiel Jackson, Dolph Ziggler, Chavo Guerrero, and Kenny Omega make their way out to the ramp. McIntyre pleads with them as they walk forward - backing him towards the ring. However, they go right past him and get in the ring walking up to RVD. They begin to stomp him down like crazy as the crowd is in disbelief. McIntyre gets into the ring as well and begins to assault on RVD. As he is getting the hell beat out of him Kaval, Justin Gabriel, Shelton Benjamin, and Yoshi Tatsu rush down to the ring. They begin to fend off the others. Referees and security come hurrying down to the ring to separate everything as ECW comes to a close.

-Omega beating Gabriel is nice. Him getting the better of Kaval and Gabriel is legit. -Shelton beating Chavo is the best choice. -Vince plotting to "kill" ECW sounds good. I wonder how it will end. -Figured that McIntyre would've won. Hope he'll get a good hefty reign. The brawl at the end was great as well. Overall, great ECW AJ. Cant wait to see what happens next

- Omega over Gabriel is great. Him laying out Kaval is good too. Really been becoming a fan of him lately. - Benjamin over Chavo is a solid decision. - The segment with Heyman and Vince sounded great. Should be nice to see the whole "Kill ECW" thing turns out. - So glad that McIntyre won the title. The ending sounded insane with heels and the faces going at it. - Great ECW. Really interested in seeing how McIntyre's reign as champion goes.

ECW: Wow, great way to kick off with Omega vs. Gabriel. 450 countered into an EX Hadouken is awesome. Omega laying out Gabriel and Kaval makes him look strong. Shelton over Guerrero is good. Great segment between Heyman and McMahon, not sure it'd take up a whole part of the show though. McIntyre as the New ECW Champion is shocking but it fits. Glad RVD kicked out of a Future Shock, makes him look strong. ECW divided is good. Makes for some interesting storylines. Good ECW.

-The Omega/Gabriel feud is nice. Glad Omega won since he just kicked off his career. -Benjamin over Guerrero is nice. Another good feud on ECW. -Good promo between Heyman and McMahon. I think I see a ECW/WWE feud once again. -Shocked to see RVD lose the title. I love shockers though. McIntyre should have a decent reign. Heels/Faces could set up a Team RVD vs. Team McIntyre and the winning team gets the gold. -Great show; lots of options to go with in my opinion.

Kenny Omega on ECW?! That is freaking awesome! The meeting between McMahon and Heyman seemed to be alright, but nothing all that great for me. Rather surprised to see Drew win the ECW Title but it seems to be a okay decision. Aftermath was interesting as well. For a ECW show, that was a pretty good read. I’ll be checking back to see how Omega does in this!

l JULY 30th, 2010 l AMERICAN BANK CENTER: CORPUS CHRISTI, TX l "Slamming Before Summerslam"
The opening pyros go off and everybody is welcomed to Smackdown by Jim Ross and Matt Striker. Before any further continuation, Rey Mysterio makes his way down to the ring on a crutch to a good pop from the crowd. He is assisted into the ring by a referee and he gets on the mic. He says that that first off, he wants to thank everybody for their care and support of him during his time of his injury. He reminds everybody on the first Smackdown of June he got injured in a match against Jack Swagger, where his commonly injured knee was destroyed and he had to undergo surgery a few days later. He says however he asked to be here tonight to thank everybody for their support and he wants to tell everybody he plans on being back very, very soon! He begins to make his way out of the ring but United States Champion Bryan Danielson comes down, a new theme song playing as well. He gets in the ring and shakes Mysterio's hand. He gets on the mic and says he has been watching Rey for a long time, and he honestly is quite the fan. He says he has a problem, however, and that problem is the moment he comes back he is going to try and knock him off the top of the ladder. Mysterio asks what he is talking about and as he looks around to the crowd in confusion, Danielson grabs him by the chin and forces him to look at him. He says that he knows what he is talking about and calls himself the best in the business. He points at Mysterio and says he isn't going to let washed up guys like him come back from an injury or hiatus and cut him in line. Mysterio says he doesn't want to do anything like that, and Danielson slaps him. Mysterio falls to the mat as the crowd looks on in disbelief, Danielson then kicks him in the back of the head as he aids himself up with the ropes. He begins to walk away, but Mysterio is slowly getting up with the help of the referee from earlier. Danielson storms over and shoves the referee to the side and drives the belt into Mysterio's face. He stands over him as the referee pleads with him to stop as he also checks on Rey, calling for help. Danielson laughs and steps out of the ring.
Commercial Break
Tag Team Match The Uso's vs The Colóns
The bell rings, Carlito starting off with Jimmy. They trade some shots before Jimmy backs him into the corner and proceeds to beat down on him hard and follows up with slams. Himself and Jules make frequent tags over the next few minutes, each showing their power before Carlito fires back and tags in Primo. The Colóns go on with double teaming, and Primo gets a few near falls on before making a blind tag and dropkicking Jules into a Backstabber and a pin.
Winner of the match: The Colóns [7:44] **3/4
After the match, The Colóns celebrate their return match victory. However, as they do so The Uso's proceed to attack them and beat them down viciously. After hitting a double Samoan Spike on both men, they climb to the top turnbuckles and hit their signature splashes on both men. They get up in taunt and exit the ring in satisfaction of the destruction on The Colóns.
Commercial Break
Before the match, Melina is shown getting situated at ringside as she'll be on guest commentary.
Women's Championship Maryse w/April Lee vs Beth Phoenix©
The bell rings and Maryse takes Beth to the corner and hits some hard shots before being shoved away. Beth hits her with a hard slam and continues on with her strength to dominate and control Maryse. After a couple minutes, Maryse kicking out multiple times, she orders Lee to help her. She gets on the apron and Maryse yells at her more before getting hit with the Glam Slam and pinned.
Winner and still Women's Champion: Beth Phoenix [5:46] **
Phoenix taunts the title as Melina gets in the ring behind her and clotheslines her to the mat. She starts to stomp down and Maryse joins in on the assault. Lee gets in the ring and Maryse tells her to get in on it. She stomps Beth once before the other two continue on. The referee eventually gets them to stop as Melina motions that the Women's Championship will be hers.
We head backstage in a hallway to see Jack Swagger making his way down to the ring.
Commercial Break
We return and Jack Swagger makes his way down to the ring and gets on the mic. He says all people have been talking to him about since Money In The Bank was Kurt Angle's return and attack. He says he is sick of it - and he wants everybody to shut up about it because it is in the past and it is completely irrelevant to his future as a World Champion. He says he could be like Angle and work harder and harder each year and continue to fail with numerous opportunities to the title, but he wants to remind everybody he has only had 1 World Title match and John Cena got lucky - and that isn't even what he is here to talk about, he is here to say he wants to let everybody know he will not stop until he gets his hands on what he deserves. Kurt Angle comes down to the ring and begins to mock Swagger by mimicing him whining about not getting what he deserves and him tapping out before shouting at him to shut up. He says that he is tired of Jack Swagger like everybody else in the entire WWE Universe. He says things have changed since he left and returned, but one thing is the same - he can still snap people's ankles and he has Jack Swagger at the top of his list. Swagger asks what he is going to do and Angle says challenge him to a match at Summerslam. The crowd goes nuts over the idea of it and Swagger says no, the crowds cheers going to boos very quickly. Angle says that's fine, obviously he isn't worthy of what he supposedly deserves if he can't man up and face him one-on-one. Swagger says he doesn't accept the match, and that's final. Angle simply says 'coward' and Swagger begins to get annoyed with him as he begins to repeat it and then finally unleashes with 'Jack Swagger is a full-fledged coward with a lisp!' Swagger has heard enough and strikes Angle over the head with the microphone. He begins to beat him down on the mat before picking up and hitting the Gut Wrench Powerbomb. He stands over Angle and picks the mic up and says he'll see him at Summerslam. He taunts over Angle with a wide grin across his face.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Kane vs CM Punk w/Matt Cross and Joey Mercury
The bell rings and Punk unloads with strikes to start before getting pushed away and caught with a sidewalk slam as he runs back. Kane works him for a few minutes, hitting a lot of vicious strikes and slams before climbing to the top turnbuckle and hitting the clothesline. He goes for the chokeslam, but Punk reverses it into a DDT, only getting a near fall. After going at it for a couple minutes, Punk hits a low blow in the corner where the referee can't see it and hits the GTS, only getting a two count. He wants out and orders a chair, Cross handing him one. Kane gets up to a shot to the head.
Winner via disqualification: Kane [10:06] ***
The SES get in the ring and begin to beat down Kane. However, as they are doing so, Randy Orton's music hits and he comes down to the ring very slyly, the SES getting prepared for him. As he eventually reaches the ring, his music cuts and Punk orders them to go after him. Cross and Mercury get out and are pummeled with shots. Kane stands up behind Punk and hits him with a chokeslam. Orton then proceeds to get in the ring and prepares to hit the Punt Kick. Kane reaches down and grabs Punk by the back of the neck and pulls him up for it, and Orton comes rushing. However, Punk pulls away and Orton accidentally hits Kane. Punk rolls out of the ring quickly as Orton turns his attention back to Punk and the SES getting away.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Zack Ryder vs Kofi Kingston
The bell sounds, both men locking up to start, but Kingston easily getting the upper hand with hard kicks and strikes. He fails to hit the Trouble in Paradise following a couple minutes of control and Ryder manages to hit the Rough Ryder. He gets a near fall and they continue to go at it in the next minutes before Ryder rolls him up multiple times, Kingston kicking out. He goes for the Rough Ryder, Kingston using his flexibility to lean backwards and place his hands on the mat, Ryder completely clearing his body. Kingston jumps up and hits the Trouble in Paradise and gets the pin.
Winner of the match: Kofi Kingston [8:24] **1/2
After the match, Evan Bourne appears on the titantron. He gets Kofi's attention and says they may be friends, but when it comes to the triple threat match at Summerslam it is every man for himself. He says that is why he is giving this message, because he has a surprise for him; Kingston is confused. He turns around and is met with a Codebreaker from Chris Jericho! Everybody is surprised as Jericho stares up at Bourne on the titantron.
Commercial Break
No Disqualification Match Montel Vontavious Porter vs Big Show
The bell rings as MVP fires off at Show and is eventually tossed over the top rope. He takes a chair and smashes it across Show's back multiple times as he gets to the outside. They end up going back into the ring following action on the outside with MVP using a chair and steel steps. Show punches the chair into his face in the ring, but only gets a near fall. Show dominates for a few minutes before MVP reverses the chokeslam into the Play of the Day and gets the pin.
Winner of the match: Montel Vontavious Porter [7:21] **3/4
MVP celebrates the huge win after the match as he has got himself some retribution for Big Show's assault on him after the match last week. He exits the ring giving high fives to the crowd as Show stirs to his feet in rage. He throws the chair used on him from earlier up the ramp.
Commercial Break
We return and see Edge in his locker room admiring the WWE Championship. The door opens behind him and in steps Sheamus. Edge stands up and offers him a handshake, Sheamus says he isn't going to shake his hand - because he isn't going to 'destroy' Christian tonight for him, he's doing it for himself. He says he enjoys destroying people in his path of winning the WWE Championship, he's lucky he doesn't destroy him right here and now. Edge says he understands what he means, saying Sheamus reminds him of himself before he became a 10-time World Champion. Sheamus says they have a difference when it comes to that - he's better. Edge says he doesn't want any problems with Sheamus, and wishes him luck tonight. Sheamus says he doesn't need his wishes of luck and finishes the conversation by saying that he might want to keep admiring the WWE Championship because it'll be his sooner or later.
We head to see Josh Mathews, who introduces his guest right now to be Christian. He asks what he thinks of having to face 'The Celtic Warrior' tonight. Christian laughs and says he's faced him a couple times already, and he is quite the competitor but the truth of the matter is that he is the number one contender, not Sheamus. He says that this 'big red headed ghost' comes around and beats the hell out of some people each week, but he's not going to be another one on his list. He says his main concern anyway is winning tonight and gaining a little bit of momentum into Summerslam where he faces his own brother in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match and claims that'll be when he wins the WWE Championship.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Sheamus vs Christian
The bell rings and the two circle around the ring. Sheamus runs and hits a clothesline and begins an all out assault on Christian. He hits a few slams and hard shots over the opening minutes before getting hit with some shots from Christian. He goes for the Bicycle Kick early, but Christian manages to duckand hit the Killswitch, only getting a near fall on the pin. They continue to go at it before Sheamus hits the Bicycle Kick to send Christian out of the ring.
Commercial Break
We return and see Sheamus beating the hell out of Christian in the corner. He goes for the Celtic Cross, but Christian manages to roll through and gets a near fall on a pin. They get up and Christian ducks yet another Bicycle Kick attempt, and goes for the Killswitch. Sheamus pushes him away however and he hits the referee. With that, Christian avoids a clothesline and hits the Killswitch once more. He tries to wake the referee up, and Edge comes running down to the ring. He prepares and hits the spear as Christian gets up. He gets out of the ring and Sheamus picks up the scraps of it, dragging Christian back up to his feet and hitting the Celtic Cross and getting the slow 3 count on the pin.
Winner of the match: Sheamus [12:18] ***1/4
After the match, Sheamus celebrates his victory as Edge laughs as he has caused a loss to Christian. He mocks him with the WWE Championship as Christian crawls to the ropes and gives him a death glare. Edge just laughs it off as he raises the title high up in the air, as one more shot of each man is shown, ending with Edge placing the WWE Title over his shoulder with a now serious expression to bring a close to the show.

- Nice to see Danielson go heel, great way for him to go heel as well. - Colon's over Uso's is good, hopefully one of them get into the Tag Title Race after the current feud. - Good to see Beth win, for she is the champion and Melina's post match attack is good too. - Angle vs Swagger should be epic. - Kane winning by DQ is good, and I love Orton coming down for the save but, Punk escaping is good. - Great Ending to the Ryder/Kingston match and I like the post-match surprise attack on Kingston. - Nice to see MVP win, hopefully he goes heel and gets a nice push down the line. - Good segment there, building up to the match at Summerslam which should be nothing short of amazing. - Good to see Sheamus win due to Edge's interference. Figured it would happen anyways. - Good smackdown, hyping Summerslam very well. -

WWE RAW: Monday 26th July 2010...Solid promo to kick off RAW, with Shawn Michaels in the ring for his hometown crowd in San Antonio. Nice promo based at John Cena, but it would be very unlikely to have HBK get booed in his hometown; you could have easily had a great transition with Shawn playing the face for the night and Cena being the one booed; like when Stone Cold Steve Austin feuded Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation in 1997; and Bret Hart was booed in America whilst cheered in Canada. I imagine the applause for HBK would be much greater than for Cena. Michelle McCool and Layla beating Natalya and Serena Mancini is alright, continuing this situation with Michelle and Serena. Bret Hart's managing would probably make the reaction for the divas matches more lively. One thing I am unsure of though is Vince McMahon having two different storylines, with Bret on RAW and Paul Heyman on ECW. Curt Hawkins and his introducing of Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta is good, and hopefully they get a better run as The Dudebusters this time. William Regal usually does great in tournaments...Good yet surprising win for Regal with Wade Barrett helping him, beat Ted Dibiase. Wasn't sure in the point if you wish to build Dibiase up. Cody Rhode and Legacy taking apart R-Truth and Dibiase was nice. The Miz needs to be in main events, if he's going to be World Heavyweight Champion. Really this match with John Cena was main event worthy, but nevermind as Miz won anyway. Chris Jericho and Batista overcoming Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston was a pretty solidly built match, must admit. Batista destroying Kofi was unexpected to me however. A triple threat at SummerSlam for the Money in the Bank briefcase seems good, though I can't see Evan Bourne retaining. Shad Gaspard beating Tyson Kidd is acceptable; presume that these two teams will face off at SummerSlam. Haha, Austin Powers parody. I liked it. Lastly, great main event between Shawn Michaels and John Morrison; again, HBK would be getting the fan reaction here more positively than Morrison, HBK does never work as a heel in San Antonio. A good show, but the aftermath was good only until John Cena ran in and took Shawn out; that bit was unnecessary. A decent show, sans the heel HBK segments which would not work.
ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 27th July 2010...A decent way to kick off with Kenny Omega and Justin Gabriel having a high-offense, back and forth bout, and I'm not surprised about Omega picking up the victory as this is his time to get a push, but however it is good that Gabriel at least had an effort. The post-match attack on Gabriel though in my mind wasn't that good for Gabriel and to be honest, just made Omega look bad for somebody who walks around in suits when not competing. Shelton Benjamin beating Chavo Guerrero is fine, a fairly competitive match, worthy of opening, I like the minor chance Chavo has been getting recently. Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman's ranting about killing ECW or letting it live was intense, I enjoyed that thoroughly. Drew McIntyre beating Rob Van Dam shocked me, winning the ECW Championship. A good show, as a whole, a lot of direction to go from here, but I'm not happy with the lacking of ECW's undercard talent, like Billy Kidman and Dolph Ziggler. The ECW superstars chasing McIntyre away was good; but again where did Dolph go? Hopefully all of these talent get good positions on RAW or SmackDown should ECW go under.
WWE SmackDown: Friday 30th July 2010...A decent opening promo to kick us off with Rey Mysterio in the ring with Bryan Danielson introduced, both men talking about the WWE United States Championship is fine, but a handshake to a slap in the face from Danielson I cannot really understand. A more brutal side of Danielson could be good though. The Colóns beating The Uso's was probably best as Carlito and Primo are reunited after a break, but bad for Jimmy and Jules. Predicted Beth Phoenix would defeat Maryse to retain the WWE Womens Championship, but it's a matter of time before we see April Lee get a shot. Solid promo between Jack Swagger and Kurt Angle, setting up for SummerSlam; intense encounter here that really should have been the opening promo; trade this spot for Danielson and Mysterio's meeting and it would be more reasonable: Angle and Swagger are more profitable. A decent first-hour main event between Kane and CM Punk; the Straight Edge Society attack was neat with Randy Orton making the save and I'm looking forward to Orton and Punk's final encounter. Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder; these two have fought well too many times on SmackDown in the past few months. Kofi always seems to win, too. Ryder needs a good storyline. MVP beating Big Show is fine, but could have easily opened with the no disqualification stipulation, which was nicely done. Bland finish, though; for no disqualification it seemed slightly not brutal at all. Edge and Christian at SummerSlam in Tables, Ladders and Chairs appeals to me greatly. Lastly, Sheamus beating Christian helped Sheamus, but made Christian the contender look incredibly weak, and if he keeps losing I cannot take him seriously as a threat to the WWE Champion, Edge. A decent show though.

-Danielson/Mysterio will be great when Mysterio returns. Danielson as a heel is great too. -Colons over Usos is a good way to rebuild the team back up. -Phoenix over Maryse is a nice call since Beth is so dominant. -Kofi over Ryder is a good call. Hope this isn't the end of Ryder's push. -M.V.P over Show is a fine call. Unpredictable but decent. -Sheamus over Christian is a good call as it sets up a Sheamus push perfectly. -Great SmackDown; very exciting.

RAW 26 July:
Pros -
- Your building the feud between HBK and Cena well. - William Regal getting a push? YES! - Good job of splitting the night's two big contest up, keeping them as main events of different hours. Cons:
- The part before the Cena/Miz match was quite short, same with the part before JoMo/HBK, would've been a lil unrealistic. - Vince with Cryme Tyme I'm not sure about. - Bourne could've picked a stronger partner than Kingston.
ECW 27 July:
Pros -
- Kenny Omega?! Awesome! - The McMahon / Heyman feud is great, really like it. - Drew McIntyre as ECW Champion is quite cool, I like it.
Cons -
- I think Chavo is beyond any chance of being a success. He should've been kept on SD or RAW as a jobber. - Short part with Vince and Paul and the TV.
Smackdown 30 July:
Pros -
- Danielson heel segment with Rey was excellent. - Orton/Punk feud was furthered well, Kane being hit was a good twist. - Ahh, I see why Kofi was the partner now. Bourne being a bit of a heel was nice.
Cons -
- Angle being back and feuding with Swagger? eh, not sure about it. - While Sheamus winning makes him look strong, Christian needs wins going into his big match with Edge.

l AUGUST 2nd, 2010 l AT&T Center: SAN ANTONIO, TX l "Who's The Captain?"
The opening pyros go off and we are welcomed to Monday Night Raw. John Cena makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He gets on the mic and says these past few weeks have been him and Shawn Michaels bickering back and forth, back and forth, and then coming to blows or cheap shots and quite honestly he is sick of it. He says he wants that match at Summerslam because previous matches with Shawn have been some of the best in his career but this is different. He says he wants to make Shawn realize that he needs to be the old Shawn Michaels that everybody stood on their feet for and respected as much as he respected them. He looks into the camera and says he does his best to entertain these people each and every night, but nobody does it better then Shawn Michaels. The crowd give a good pop towards to words, and Cena says he is giving Shawn the opportunity right now to step up. Michaels makes his way down to the ring to a good pop from his hometown crowd. He gets a mic himself and looks at Cena, who asks if he has something to say. Shawn looks around to the crowd who chant "H-B-K". He says this isn't John Cena's career, nor the fans career, or anybody else's career except his own and he doesn't want anybody telling him what to do with it. He says he does come out here each and every night for a reason and it's not just for that paycheck and everybody knows it. He says he appreciates everything these fans have done for him and the respect he has gotten in the back, but this is his time. He says he hasn't been world champion since 2002, and he will do whatever it takes to get back there. Cena says this isn't the way to do it, and Shawn says that's too bad then and walks away and steps out of the ring. He goes up the ramp, leaving Cena in the middle of the ring.
Commercial Break
Intercontinental Championship William Regal w/Wade Barrett vs R-Truth
The bell rings, Truth hits a lot of fast strikes and tries to finish things off early hitting a lot of signature moves, but Regal manages to kick out of each pin. After a while of back and forth solid action between them, Regal hits a knee to the face and begins an all out beat down with strikes to the head, and Truth pushes him away - Regal hitting the referee. Wade Barrett then gets in the ring and walks over to Regal and hits the Wasteland. Truth is confused but goes ahead and hits the Axe Kick anyway as Barrett gets out of the ring, and Truth pins Regal for the 3.
Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: R-Truth [9:03] **1/2
The crowd are confused by the actions of Barrett, but not for long as he goes up to Truth and clotheslines him down and begins to stomp him viciously. He drags him up and hits the Wasteland on him as well, then raises the Intercontinental Championship as the crowd boos at him.
Commercial Break
#1 Contenders Match to the Diva's Championship Gail Kim vs Serena Mancini
The bell rings for this friendly match up between the respectful divas. Mancini hits some hard shots and slams to start things off, but Kim fights back. As they go back and forth throughout a couple minutes with some solid action, LayCool step out to the ramp to observe. Mancini hits a hard suplex before taking notice of them as they come closer to the ring. Mancini hits the powerslam and gets the pinfall and 3 count on Kim as she stares down LayCool.
Winner of the match: Serena Mancini [6:22] **
LayCool get in the ring and take Mancini down quickly, and laugh. She gets right back up though and unloads with vicious strikes. She ends up getting double teamed, however, and is hit with the Diva's Championship by McCool. Kim gets up though and fends them off, scaring them out of the ring. She tends to Mancini who looks on aggravated at LayCool who back up the ramp with grins of satisfaction for what they managed to do to her.
Commercial Break
We return to see Santino Marella and Goldust talking backstage. Santino calls Goldust "Goldylust" and says he thinks he can beat him in rock paper scissors. Goldust stutters that he'll bet him a gold coin he can't! Santino laughs and says "you're on". They do out one and result in a tie with scissors, then go once again and tie with rock, then tie with paper. Santino says one of them needs to decide to not use the same as the other. He says he'll be paper this time, and Goldust says that sounds like a good idea - that way it'll go a lot quicker and Santino can prove he is better at rock paper scissors. Santino says exactly, and they do it out and Goldust puts up scissors. Santino says "drats!" before The Dudebusters come running in from behind and take him down and begin to stomp him down. Goldust begins to strike at them in his defense, but they just take him down and assault him to. They pull Goldust up and Hawkins kicks him in the gut, Beretta and Croft then hitting a double DDT on the hard floor. They kick Santino a bit and walk off, satisfied.
We cut to Teddy Long's office and ECW Champion Drew McIntyre steps in with a grin. Teddy asks what he wants, and Drew tells him nothing in particular except to tell him he is now officially a part of the ECW roster - and he is going to bring ECW down to pieces. Teddy asks if that's so, and asks how he is going to do that. Drew says he should just kick back and watch ECW tomorrow night and see what he and the others have in store for Paul Heyman, Rob Van Dam, and the rest of those "pro-ECW idiots". He says Vince McMahon will be there tomorrow night as well, and a huge announcement will be in store for everybody. He claims ECW will be dead before anybody realizes it. Teddy sarcastically wishes him good luck, and Drew storms out.
Commercial Break
No Holds Barred Match Shad Gaspard vs Bret Hart
The bell rings as this match was made by Vince McMahon. However, before Shad can do anything The Hart Dynasty rush into the ring behind him and begin to beat him down - wiping the smile right off his face. As they beat him down, Jayson Paul comes down to the ring and begins to fight with them. An all out brawl emerges over the next few minutes between Gaspard and Paul and The Hart Dynasty. They eventually fall to the outside of the ring and continue their fighting. After a while of steel chairs and other weapons, Gaspard is hit with the Hart Attack and is put into the Sharpshooter by Bret where he taps.
Winner of the match: Bret Hart [7:58] **
The Hart Dynasty celebrate with Bret as Natalya comes down as well. However, Paul comes from behind and begins to beat down Kidd and Smith until Shad joins in. Eve then comes in and attacks Natalya. As Bret watches on, Paul and Gaspard turn their attention to him and Shad yanks him up off the mat and Paul hits a clothesline as Bret is held out and dropped to the mat. The crowd go silent in shock at this sick display as Gaspard, Paul, and Torres exit.
Commercial Break
2-on-1 Handicap Match If Ted Wins, He Gets One More Match Against Cody Rhodes at Summerslam Ted DiBiase vs Joe Hennig and Brett DiBiase w/Cody Rhodes
Hennig starts off with Ted as the bell rings and they lock up, Ted getting the early upper hand. He hits a few slams in the opening minutes and a few strikes as well - but then wants his brother to come in. Hennig rolls him up from behind for a 2 count, and then Ted continues to take control until Brett is tagged in. They stare down as Rhodes orders Hennig around on the outside. Ted and Brett step up to each other, but Hennig comes in and hits Ted with a chair.
Winner via disqualification: Ted DiBiase [8:50] **3/4
The Legacy begin to beat down Ted as Cody grabs a mic. He gets in the ring and says that's enough. He asks Ted if he got what he wanted now, another match that he will fail in against him at Summerslam. He says he hasn't been competing for a while now because he himself wants this match at Summerslam - and he's more ready then he ever has been to end his career. Joe and Brett bring Ted up to his knees and Cody drives the microphone straight into his forehead, the referee coming up and moving them aside. The Legacy exit the ring as Ted lays out holding his head.
Commercial Break
We return and see World Heavyweight Champion The Miz walking down a hall and he steps into the locker rooms to see Chris Jericho and Batista. He asks where Shawn is and Chris says he doesn't care and Batista says it doesn't matter. Miz says it does matter regardless of how he kicked him in the teeth last week because he wants him on their team tonight so he can get a little bit of revenge. He says Shawn Michaels is past his prime, way past his prime - in fact, he shouldn't of ever returned in 2002 because he was already washed up in the 90s! Jericho and Batista don't say anything as the cameras pan around to show Shawn standing behind Miz. "Washed up, huh?" He says and Miz puts his hands up saying he didn't mean it like that. Michaels just stares at him before turning to Batista and Jericho and says that Miz isn't going to be the 'captain' of this team just because he is the World Champion. Shawn says there is no captain, they are going out there tonight for their own purposes. He says Miz is out there because of John Morrison, Chris is out there because of Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston, and Batista is out there because he likes to destroy people that are weaker then him, and he is out there to prove a point to John Cena. Miz speaks up and says he is the captain of this team and Batista tells him to shut up, saying nobody cares what he has to say - Shawn made a good point, they are all out there for their own reasons; they don't need a team captain. They all look around at each other.
We cut to a new Summerslam vignette, titling "300". R-Truth stands with a sword to his throat and he says "This is the truth! The whole truth and nothing but the truth!" The camera then shows CM Punk being the one who holds the sword. "Truth? This... is... Straight Edge!" He kicks him in the gut and then hits the GTS, Truth falling off into the hole. Punk begins to walk off as Joey Mercury and Matt Cross follow behind him, looking back multiple times as they fade off in the distance behind Punk. "Summerslam: August 15" concludes the video.
Commercial Break
8-Man Tag Team Match Batista, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, and World Heavyweight Champion The Miz vs John Morrison, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, and John Cena
The bell rings as Kingston begins the match with Jericho. They go back and forth a bit, Kingston getting the upper hand with sharp kicks and Jericho quickly wants out so he tags in Miz. They go at it next, and Miz hits a few cheap shots and then unloads with signature moves. Himself, Batista, and Jericho go on to make frequent tags and work on Kingston until Michaels is tagged in and is soon met with the Trouble in Paradise. Kingston then makes his way across the ring and tags in Morrison, who gets hit with a sudden superkick and an all out brawl ensues.
Commercial Break
As we return, Miz is the legal man with Kingston now and they are trading blows. Kingston unloads with kicks before dropkicking him into his own corner, leading to Batista making the tag. He gets in and takes Kingston down with a huge clothesline and then a spinebuster. He hits a few stomps and drags him up, but as he goes for the Batista Bomb, Kingston pushes off and makes the tag to Cena who comes running in and cleans house. He works Batista for a while before ducking a clothesline and hitting the Attitude Adjustment. He tags in Bourne who quickly hits Air Bourne and gets the 3 count.
Winners of the match: Evan Bourne, John Cena, John Morrison, and Kofi Kingston [12:37] ***1/2
Bourne quickly gets up in celebration and all the faces get in to join him. However Jericho and Miz come from behind and begin to take everybody out. Batista soon joins in as Michaels looks on from the corner. As Jericho turns around he gets hit with Sweet Chin Music as the crowd goes crazy! He then hits one on Batista, the crowd continuing to go insane. Miz comes up from behind and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Morrison pulls him off and hits the Moonlight Drive. The crowd continues to go crazy as Cena, Morrison, and Bourne look on at Michaels who stands in the middle of the ring looking back with a blank expression across his face giving no answers to end the show.

-Great opener between Cena and Michaels. Their match should turn out great. -Truth winning because of Barrett's turn on Regal is interesting. -Serena over Kim is good. -The backstage segment between Santino and Goldust would probably happen, and so would the attack from The Dudebusters. -DiBiase over Legacy by DQ is a nice call. DiBiase vs Rhodes should be good. -Faces winning is legit. The post match actions with Michaels standing tall is intriguing, but its still great. Overall, great show AJ. -
