Glendale, Arizona
March 28th, 2010 [/color]
Dark Match: Drew McIntyre wins a 15 man battle royal; will receive an Intercontinental Championship match on Smackdown.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We scan the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for WrestleMania 26! The lights dim down and a spotlight is shown on Fergie on a performing stage near the entrance. She sings beautifully the National Anthem, before the lights come back on with Slash and Cypress Hill now on the stage as well, and they break out to the WrestleMania 26 theme song with Fergie,
"Paradise City". After they finish with it, pyros hit all around the arena as we are officially welcomed to WrestleMania! As our commentators Matt Striker, Jerry Lawler, and Jim Ross are shown telling us we are moments away from this historic event!
Rey Mysterio vs Chavo GuerreroBoth men come down to the ring, Mysterio getting a large pop from the crowd as Chavo gets heat. The bell rings and the two stare down. They walk up to each other and lock up, and Rey gets the early advantage by pushing Chavo into the corner and following it up with a bunch of strikes and kicks. As Chavo goes for a clothesline, Rey ducks under it and hits a hurricanrana to send him to the outside. Rey quickly pops up and delivers a suicide dive to the outside, and he comes right back up to his feet and taunts to the crowd. As he lifts Chavo up, he is hit with a cheap shot to the gut, and Chavo rolls into the ring. Rey follows only to be hit with tons of stomps down on the back ferociously, and Chavo yells at him. He pulls him up to his feet and delivers some strikes of his own before delivering a hard DDT and getting a near fall. Chavo is pissed and yanks Rey back up and drops him with a suplex, then another, and tops it with the three amigos. He climbs to the top rope and dives off for a Frog Splash, but Mysterio manages to get out of the way. As they both slowly rise to their feet, Chavo comes back fast only to get hit with a punch to the face. Rey gets into a rhythm of it and hits a springboard dropkick and gets a 2 count on a pin attempt. Rey continues momentum off it, hitting a flying clothesline on Chavo's rise and follows that up with tons of fast paced kicks and punches in the corner. He goes for a splash, but Chavo moves and rolls him up, placing his feet on the ropes. Rey manages to kick out barely. Chavo argues with the referee for a while before yanking Rey back up and getting in his face to yell at him. However, it was a mistake as he gets kicked in the shin and is hit with a hurricanrana to drop him between the ropes. Rey then delivers the 619 and climbs to the top rope and hits a Frog Splash and pins Chavo for the 3.
Winner of the match: Rey Mysterio (9:34) ***Following the match, Rey celebrates his victory with his family that are seated next to the ramp as Chavo looks on furious.
With that, we go to a promo video showing the history of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, showing how it was all started and the previous winners and them cashing in to win the title.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
The Miz vs Ezekiel Jackson vs Sheamus vs R-Truth vs Zack Ryder w/Curt Hawkins vs Shelton Benjamin vs Tyson Kidd w/DH Smith vs Rob Van DamAll 8 men get down to the ring and the bell signals the match to start. Everything is a cluster at first with everybody just going at each other. Eventually though, they clear up as Ezekiel Jackson and Sheamus take themselves to the outside in a scuffle, as Shelton Benjamin and Tyson Kidd go for ladders. Meanwhile, RVD is working on Zack Ryder in the corner with a series of kicks and The Miz is pounding down on R-Truth on the opposing side. Shelton hits Jackson and Sheamus with a ladder on the outside and laughs to himself, but as he turns back to the ring RVD dives through the ropes onto the ladder and taking himself and Shelton down. Kidd brings his own ladder into the ring and sets it up. As he begins to climb it, however, R-Truth quickly pulls Kidd down and tosses him to the outside. Zack Ryder then comes over to meet the same fate. Shelton Benjamin eventually makes his way back in the ring and throws Miz face first into the corner before pulling the ladder back up. He starts to climb it, as R-Truth makes his way up on the other side. They start to strike at each other at the top. Miz stumbles over and starts to push the ladder over, but Truth and Shelton show simultaneous athleticism as they keep their balance on the top rope, and come back with one side of the ladder each and hit Miz in the face. Sheamus comes storming into the ring quickly and clotheslines them both down. He picks the ladder up and crushes them once more before setting the ladder up and starting to climb it. Nobody is around as it seems he's going to win, but Tyson Kidd springboards off the top rope and hooks the waist to bring Sheamus down to the mat hard. The crowd pops at this, and on the outside Rob Van Dam is getting beat up by Jackson against the barricade. Zack Ryder then comes over only to start meeting the same fate. Curt Hawkins runs towards them and begins to strike Jackson, only to be thrown to the side hard. Tons of action displays in the ring now with 5 guys in and just tons of brawling going on. Sheamus goes for the Bicycle Kick on Truth, but he ducks it and Shelton delivers the Paydirt. As he rises, he is dropped with the Scissors Kick from Truth. Jackson comes back into the ring and begins to dominate at everybody and it seems as if he will win it as he begins to climb the ladder. RVD suddenly jumps off the top rope and kicks the ladder down and Jackson drops with a hard thud. RVD then is in control, as he yanks the ladder up to hit everybody with it. He sets it up and starts his climb, slowly though, as he is still in pain. He reaches the top and begins to reach for it. However, Kidd comes flying up to the top fast and begins to trade blows. Ryder sets up another ladder next to it and begins his climb. Sheamus puts one up himself. Truth climbs up with Sheamus and Shelton climbs up with Ryder. All 6 men are just going back and forth over and over again. Ezekiel Jackson walks over and pushes the one on the right with Sheamus and Truth on it, and like a domino effect it hits the others and everybody falls hard with Sheamus, Kidd, RVD, and Truth rolling out of the ring. Jackson then picks Ryder up and drops him with a chokeslam, to which he rolls out from. He then delivers the same to The Miz. As he starts to drag the ladder, Shelton pulls on the other end from his knees. As they begin to tug a bit, Shelton lets go and Jackson gets hit in the jaw. Then Shelton pops to his feet and runs across it to hit the Paydirt, to which Jackson rolls out. He pulls the ladder up, pointing to the briefcase and taunts to the crowd with a smirk on his face. He begins to climb up it. As he is near the top, The Miz sneaks up behind him with a chair in his free hand and grabs his shoulder, to which Shelton looks down to a blast in the face and he falls down. Miz drops the chair and climbs to the top, and retrieves the briefcase.
Winner of the match: The Miz (16:46) ****Miz sits on top of the ladder and raises the briefcase in the air repeatedly saying "I'm Awesome". He climbs down with a smirk and taunts with the briefcase.
We then cut to a video that shows last month at Elimination Chamber, where Booker T eliminates Batista before being attacked and cost the match. Then backstage not to long after, Batista is continuing his assault from earlier claiming that Booker stole his WrestleMania.
Booker T vs BatistaAfter both men are to the ring, Batista quickly runs at Booker and clotheslines him, so the bell rings. He starts to stomp down on him over and over again, before yanking him up against the corner by his hair. Batista continues to deliver shoulder thrusts into the gut, Booker helpless. He then yanks him out to deliver another clothesline and taunts to the crowd to an eruption of boos. He yanks Booker to his feet again and lifts him up before crashing his back into the corner. He does it twice more before leaving Booker on the mat. He follows by taking him to the outside and runs to the steel post with his head, but Booker pulls away and does it back to Batista and rolls him in the ring. He follows him quickly and delivers tons of strikes on the rise and a side kick after Batista hits off the ropes. He pulls him back up delivering some chops and such, and begins to take control. He kicks him in the gut and hits off the ropes and prepares for the Scissors Kick, but he is caught in mid air and dropped with a spinebuster. As Booker rolls around in pain, he makes his way towards the corner and rises to his feet. As he turns, Batista runs at him full speed for the spear but he avoids it and The Animal hits the corner. Booker manages to hit the Scissors Kick as he stumbles to the center. He goes for the pin but it ends up as a near fall. He pulls Batista back up and continues with his strikes and throws him to the ropes, however, The Animal comes back with a hard shoulder block. He then begins to apply his foot to the throat well holding the ropes down, and releases at the count of 4. He continues to do this tactic for a minute before yanking Booker up. He goes for a clothesline, but it's ducked and he is dropped with the Book End! Booker hooks the leg up but The Animal just kicks out. He can't believe it and begins to question the referee before dragging Batista up. He kicks the gut and goes for the Scissors Kick again, but it is avoided and as Booker turns he is met with a spear. Batista pulls him up and hits the Batista Bomb and pins for the 3.
Winner of the match: Batista (10:13) ***After the match, Batista taunts to the crowd as he looks over Booker with a sickening glare. He steps out of the ring and folds up a chair before getting back in. As Booker rises, he clocks him with it. He isn't done there though, as he sits the chair out and lifts Booker and hits him with a hard spinebuster right onto the seat of it. He rises to his feet with a chuckle and exits the ring and walks up the ramp.
We then cut to a video of the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony from the night before. We then have Hall of Fame Inductees in the class of 2010 brought out. Antonio Inoki, the Rock N Roll Express, the family of Brian Pillman, and Ted DiBiase, Sr. One man is left and
The Rock makes his way down towards the ring. He climbs up the turnbuckle and raises his fist in the air like he did in his career. He steps into the ring and goes around pumping the crowd up tremendously. After a few minutes of being around, he walks up the ramp and cocks his eyebrow as he looks back to the ring, and Rock walks backstage.
ECW Championship
Bryan Danielson vs William Regal©Both men come down to the ring and the bell sounds. Danielson picks up the early advantage with a fury of shots. He gets the upper hand delivering these and tops it with a dropkick into the corner and a clothesline. Regal is defenseless as he is hit with even more strikes, and Danielson hits a devastating DDT that almost seems like it will end it, but it doesn't as Regal kicks out at 2. Soon, Regal begins to fight back after a cheap rake of the eyes. He goes off with some strikes of his own and elbows Danielson in the corner, roughing up the jaw. He yells at the crowd and smashes Danielson's face into the turnbuckle. He does it a few more times before getting elbowed in the gut and hit with a huge enziguri. Danielson gets up again and drops down to one knee and applies a headlock to the sitting Regal. As Regal is trapped in the hold, he reaches up and rakes the eyes again to get Danielson to release it. He rises and ducks a clothesline and pushes his opponent straight into the referee, sending him down to a knee in the corner. Regal low blows Danielson and hits a running knee to the face. As the referee comes back, he applies the Regal Stretch. Danielson searches for the ropes in pain but eventually taps out.
Winner and still ECW Champion: William Regal (6:54) **Regal takes his ECW Championship and places his foot on Danielson's neck to keep him down. He raises the belt high as Danielson searches around under the pressure of the champions foot.
We then go to a video, showing Edge and Christian back when they were teaming about 10 years ago. It fast forwards to Edge and Chris Jericho winning the Unified Tag Team Championships at Night of Champions last year. It then shows Edge being injured, and Big Show becoming the new chosen champion along side Jericho, and then just a few weeks ago E&C reuniting and the childish characteristics returning.
Unified Tag Team Championship
Jerishow© vs Edge and ChristianBoth teams arrive to the ring and Edge starts off with Jericho. They lock up and pull apart quickly. As they talk some trash to each other, Jericho smacks Edge across the face. Edge then unloads with a fury of strikes over and over again, constantly knocking Jericho down before he scrambles back up. Edge starts to pound down even more in the corner, and eventually whips Jericho to the other and hits a hard clothesline before tagging in Christian. As he gets in, they deliver a double suplex and Christian goes for the pin only to get a near fall. He pulls Jericho up, and delivers some strikes of his own before being dropkicked down. Jericho follows up by stomping him in the corner and pulling him to his feet for a suplex. He drags him over and tags in Big Show, who steps right on Christian's chest and walks along him like it was nothing. He yanks him to his feet and delivers a headbutt, bouncing him off the ropes for a sidewalk slam. He gets a 2 count off a pin attempt, and gets back up. Christian is once again pulled up for a headbutt, but as he comes back he strikes at Show hard. He just unloads with punches and kicks and knees, etc. and eventually dazes him enough to tag in Edge and send Show to the mat with a double clothesline. Edge gets a very near fall on the pin attempt. As he gets back up in disappointment, he delivers tons of chops to the rising Show, and tries to whip him across the ring but not enough strength in his ability to do so. He gets dropped with a clothesline and Jericho is tagged back in. As Edge rises, he is met with some more strikes, and Jericho climbs up on the second turnbuckle and starts the 10 punches. On the 9th, however, Edge drops him face first into the turnbuckle padding and hits a huge Edgecution. Both men are laying on the mat, and Edge gets to his feet first. He tags in Christian, and drags Jericho to the middle of the ring and they double team with dropkicks. Big Show enters the ring and storms over to Christian and begins to strike at him, however, as he turns around Edge sprints and delivers the spear, and actually manages to take him down! Jericho rises to his feet and throws Edge into the steel post and laughs at him. As he does that, Christian steps up behind him and hits the Killswitch and pins him for the three.
Winners and NEW Unified Tag Team Champions: Edge and Christian (12:31) ***1/2Following the match, Edge and Christian take the Unified Tag Team Titles and taunt with them. Jericho gets back up and storms over to them pissed and begins to yell at them. Edge backs off and Christian starts to talk to him to 'calm him down'. He moves out of the way and Edge collides into Jericho with a spear. He pops back up and they continue their celebrations as they are now 8 time tag team champions together.
A video is then shown of CM Punk winning the World Heavyweight Championship at TLC. It then fast forwards to John Morrison being eliminated 29th in the Royal Rumble match, but then at Elimination Chamber Morrison wins contendership and Punk retains. A bunch of cut clips are shown of CM Punk talking about how he is better then everybody and Morrison telling him that he is just a narcissist and at WrestleMania he will defeat Punk and become the World Champion. A bunch of clips are then mashed together of them brawling and attacking each other over the past few weeks.
We then go to the stage area where Slash, Cypress Hill, and Fergie performed to open the show and see Stonefree Experience. They begin to play
"Ain't No Make Believe", to which John Morrison eventually begins to walk down to the ring to.
World Heavyweight Championship
John Morrison vs CM Punk©The bell rings as they are in the ring and they stare down. The crowd is heavily behind Morrison, chanting his name. He walks up to Punk and they lock up. Punk quickly takes advantage by striking at his head and delivering knees to the gut. Him and Morrison then begin to strike back and forth at each other with the crowd behind it with the "Yeah, boo" series. Morrison ducks one shot and sweeps the legs out from under the champion. He then hits off the ropes and delivers a huge standing shooting star press, but only gets a two count as Punk kicks out. They both rise, and Punk trips Morrison into the corner and delivers some kicks to the jaw. He straightens him up and hits some more strikes before backing off, then running and delivering a high knee to the jaw and a bulldog to the middle of the ring. He gets to his feet taunting to the crowd, and awaits Morrison to get up. As he does, Punk lifts him onto his shoulders. However, The Guru of Greatness slides off and delivers a huge dropkick to send Punk to the outside. He gets back up and walks over to the ropes with a smirk. As the champion rises, he delivers a corkscrew dive and takes him down to the floor. He rises and taunts with the crowd in the front row, before pulling Punk up and getting back in the ring with him. He gets a near fall on a pin attempt. Punk gets to his feet after, and Morrison hits a few blows and hits off the ropes. As he comes back, however, Punk lifts him up and delivers an atomic drop and then a clothesline to bring him down. Punk then drags Morrison to the middle of the ring and mounts on him delivering a series of strikes well gripping his hair. He comes to his feet, dragging Morrison along, and hits a kick to the chest to lay him down. He goes for the pin but gets a near fall. Punk tries it again for a near fall once more. He gets angry and yanks Morrison up, only to get pushed away. However, he ducks a clothesline and throws Morrison into the corner and lifts him up onto his shoulders and drops JoMo for the GTS. He goes for the pin, but surprisingly Morrison manages to kick out right before the 3. Punk is in disbelief and argues with the referee. He steps out of the ring and grabs his World Heavyweight Title and gets back in. He folds it a bit and motions for Morrison to rise and as he does, Punk swings the title. However, it is ducked and Morrison kicks him in the gut and delivers the Moonlight Drive! He covers Punk but the champion kicks out again. The crowd can't believe it, as Morrison gets up with him. He goes for the Moonlight Drive again, but is pulled into a small package with the tights, only to have JoMo kick out of it. Punk gets pissed and as soon as Morrison is on his feet, he lifts for the GTS again. Morrison manages to keep himself on scrambling around, and he holds onto the ropes near a corner. He shakes himself off and delivers a huge superkick and he climbs to the top rope and delivers an amazing Starship Pain and gets the pinfall on Punk.
Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: John Morrison (16:09) ****Morrison gets on his knees in disbelief of him just winning. The referee hands him the World Title and he rises to his feet with a wide grin. He puts it over his shoulder as he climbs to the top rope and pats it, then taunts to the crowd. Meanwhile, Punk slips out of the ring in anger, ramming his fists to the floor.
A video is then cut to of D-Generation X. It shows the history in the 90s of it, and then Shawn Michaels leaving the business. Then he returns in 2002, only to be betrayed by Triple H. Clips of their re-sparked feuds over the years are shown, and then in 2006 D-Generation X does reform. They are best friends together once more, but at New Years Revolution 2007, Triple H is injured. As everything skips to 2009, DX officially reforms in August and as December rolls around, Shawn Michaels begins to 'accidentally' cost his team matches and things finally come to an end as he eliminates Triple H from the Royal Rumble match. Footage of the past 2 months of what has gone on between them is shown, and it all comes to an end with them staring each other down.
Shawn Michaels vs Triple HBoth men stare each other down as the bell rings. They step out to the center and get nose to nose and begin to talk at each other before they start to trade blows. The crowd begins to get behind Triple H and he starts to take control. However, Michaels fights back quickly, delivering a series of fast chops. He whips Hunter off the ropes and hits an atomic drop and another chop, backing Hunter to the corner. He then goes off with a fallout DDT to the middle of the ring and goes for the pin, but its only a 2 count. He yanks HHH up and delivers some more blows before going for the flying forearm, to which Hunter avoids. He spins Michaels around and delivers a hard clothesline and then a knee drop. As Michaels scrambles back up, he is hit with a couple more punches and then is whipped to the ropes and on the comeback is hit with the back body drop. HBK rolls out of the ring afterward, to which Hunter eventually follows. He throws Michaels head first into the announce table before getting one of his own. HHH swings for a clothesline, but Michaels ducks it and dropkicks him to the floor. He gets back in the ring and the referee continues counting HHH out. As he rises to his feet, Michaels comes flying through the ropes and they are laid out on the floor. They both manage to get up and Michaels continues to pound down on him until rolling back in the ring behind him. They both rise and Michaels continues with a beat down and delivers an atomic drop and a back body drop, before going for the pin. Hunter kicks out quickly. They both rise again, Michaels in anger he couldn't put him away and he begins to unload with strikes once more. Hunter ducks one shot and delivers a devastating spinebuster. He taunts to the crowd, and as Michaels rises he kicks him in the gut and sets up for the pedigree, but HBK pulls his arms lose and delivers a kick to the gut and mocks Hunter, and hits a pedigree himself! Michaels has a satisfying grin on his face and goes for the pin, but only a 2 count. He holds his head in his hands in frustration, and walks over to the corner. He starts to 'tune up the band', and motions Hunter to get up. He does, and as he wobbles to turn, Michaels skips over for Sweet Chin Music but Hunter ducks it and delivers a devastating pedigree out of nowhere. He covers Michaels, 1... 2... kick out. Nobody in the arena can believe it, and both men are laid out. Hunter starts to stir and gets to his feet, and HBK kips up, still wobbly though. A trade of blows from both men, and Hunter takes him down with a knee to the face. Hunter thinks for a minute before walking to the corner, and he starts to 'tune up' his own band. Michaels rises and turns straight into a Sweet Chin Music from Hunter, who collapses on Michaels but only a 2 count! The crowd is electric now, and both men rise up slowly on opposing sides of the ring. Hunter walks over and swings a strike, only to have Michaels duck it and hit off the other ropes and hit the flying forearm. He gets back up and delivers a front slam, and climbs to the top turnbuckle. He measures HHH and delivers the elbow drop before laying out next to him. Hunter rolls to the corner and Michaels kips up to his feet. He gets on the other side again and 'tunes up the band' once more. Hunter turns to him and Michaels actually hits the Sweet Chin Music this time. HBK waves his fists in the air wildly and collapses onto Hunter's gut and gets the finishing pinfall.
Winner of the match: Shawn Michaels (21:35) ****Following the match, Michaels rises to his feet and clears the hair from his face. He looks down at Hunter, who starts to stir. As he rises to his feet, Michaels looks at him and offers to shake his hand. Hunter is unsure about it, and as he reaches out, Michaels pulls away and swings his boot up, but HHH expects it and ducks under and delivers a Pedigree to lay Shawn out in the middle of the ring. He rises slowly and crotch chops over Michaels and steps out of the ring.
We then cut to a promo video for WrestleMania 27, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Non-Title Champion vs Champion Lumberjill Match
Women's Champion Beth Phoenix vs Diva's Champion MaryseLumberjills: Brie Bella, Eve, Gail Kim, Layla, Maria, Michelle McCool, Natalya, Nikki Bella, and Rosa MendesThe bell rings and Beth quickly grabs Maryse by the hair and throws her into the corner. As she walks over though, Maryse moves out of the way and scurries across the ring. As Beth storms over, Maryse kicks her in the gut and begins to strike down on her back. She throws her face first into the turnbuckle and then clotheslines her to the outside. All the heel Diva's begin to attack her, and Beth is eventually pushed back in the ring. Maryse laughs at it, and brings Beth back up by her hair. She slaps her around before being shoved back and hit with a hard clothesline. Beth yanks her up and drops her with a military press and then a kick to the gut as she attempts to get up. With that, she yanks Maryse to her feet and feeds her to the face Divas now. They stomp on her rapidly and toss her back in, and she yells at all of them. Beth waits for her, and then delivers the Glam Slam out of nowhere and pins Maryse for the 3.
Winner of the match: Beth Phoenix (4:57) **Beth celebrates her victory with the face Divas, and Maryse is chased to the back by the others as she exits the ring. She reaches the top of the ramp and screams at them before though.
A video is then cut to, showing the formation of Legacy. It then goes to show how Randy Orton would punish them by punting them in the skulls. Fast forward to November 2009, Randy Orton punts Ted DiBiase and he has enough of it and ends up attacking him the next night. January 2010: Royal Rumble; Randy Orton wins the title from John Cena, and Ted DiBiase wins the Royal Rumble match. At Elimination Chamber, Orton betrays Rhodes in the match and RKOs him to win it, and Cody pins him the next night to face him at Mania, but Ted comes out and says he will be choosing his WrestleMania match to be for the WWE Championship. Highlights of the last few weeks are shown before we head to the arena.
Rev Theory appears on the stage now, and they begin to play
"Voices", and WWE Champion Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring slowly as they play, in what is a very eerie entrance.
WWE Championship
Randy Orton© vs Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiaseAfter Rhodes and DiBiase are down to the ring and the belt is raised, the bell rings. All three men look at each other, and Orton steps out to the center. He looks at them carefully, and Rhodes goes and clotheslines DiBiase down and starts to stomp him. Orton walks over and forces Rhodes off and stomps DiBiase himself. Rhodes gets up in his face and Orton pushes him away and continues to beat down on DiBiase. Rhodes comes right back and starts to strike at Orton. He delivers a hard suplex and gets back up taunting at him. He then goes over to DiBiase, and gets hit with some shots from him. DiBiase kicks him in the gut and drops Rhodes' face on his knee and hits a nice dropkick. Orton stays in the corner watching and DiBiase delivers a bulldog to Rhodes, and is hit with a hard clothesline from the WWE Champion as soon as he is up. Orton pulls him up slowly and delivers a stiff uppercut, and clotheslines him out of the ring. He then glares at Rhodes, and yanks him to his feet and begins to toy with him. He hits a few slow uppercuts and then an inverted backbreaker. DiBiase comes back into the ring and breaks up a pin attempt. He pulls Orton up and puts him in the corner, delivering some shots of his own. He then goes over to Rhodes, and gets hit with a chop. Rhodes and DiBiase begin to get into a chop fest, before Orton double dropkicks them to the outside. He taunts to the crowd and gets out of the ring. He picks DiBiase up and throws him into the steel steps, and then into the ring. He begins the stomp around the body, and lifts DiBiase up to deliver a smooth dropkick. He then rises to see Rhodes getting on the apron, and he storms over, drags Rhodes in hung on the ropes and slams him with the hung rope DDT. He goes for the pin, but Rhodes manages to kick out. Orton gets furious, and begins to stomp him down before DiBiase comes behind him and delivers Dream Street! He hooks the leg, but the champion just barely kicks out. DiBiase yanks Orton up, and he gets pushed away. Rhodes takes advantage off it, and spins Orton into the Cross Rhodes. But once again Orton kicks out of the pin attempt. Rhodes then picks Orton up and throws him into the steel post, to which Randy falls to the outside from. Rhodes then turns into a huge clothesline from DiBiase, and suffers to a complete strike fest to the head. DiBiase keeps him in the ring and begins to work the legs by stomping them. He then applies a headlock, and turns it into a cobra clutch as he gets up. He delivers Dream Street off it and Rhodes holds onto his neck in pain. The pin attempt is only a 2 though, and DiBiase can't believe it. He rises back up, and Randy Orton slithers into the ring behind him. As DiBiase turns, he is struck with the sudden RKO. He then notices Cody Rhodes starting to stir, and he prepares. With that, as Rhodes gets on his hands and knees, Orton delivers the punt kick and pins him for the 3.
Winner and still WWE Champion: Randy Orton (18:25) ***1/2After the match, Orton climbs onto the turnbuckle and raises the WWE Championship belt high, and places it over his shoulder. He slowly climbs down and looks at Rhodes and DiBiase laying out on the mat, and laughs a bit to himself. He steps out of the ring and walks up the ramp smirking.
We fade into a video showing Undertaker's WrestleMania streak. It then shows John Cena's multiple world title wins. We go to Royal Rumble 2010 and see Cena lose the WWE Championship to Randy Orton, and then later in the night costing The Undertaker the World Heavyweight Championship in the Last Man Standing Match against CM Punk. Then at Elimination Chamber Cena lays down the challenge to The Undertaker to meet him at WrestleMania so 'he can prove he is better then everybody in this company and go back on top'. We then go to the past few weeks of their confrontations, and it ends with the last Smackdown before WrestleMania, and John Cena holding a 'wake' for Undertaker, but Taker appears from the casket and drops him with the Tombstone.
We return to the arena, and the lights go out. The crowd goes ecstatic. A figure walks out into a foggy entrance. The smoke clears and he takes off his hat to reveal it's John Cena. He removes the jacket and tossed it off to the side as well. The lights come back to normal as
"Untouchables" hits. Cena walks to the bottom of the ramp and puts up his hands in taunt, and a large pyro hits at the top of the stage behind him. He gets in the ring and awaits. The lights go out once more, but this time
"Rest In Peace" hits and the lights stay out. Eventually though, a lightning strike hits the stage and flames begin to rise. 'Rain' begins to drip from the arena ceiling and the flames begin to burn out. It continues this routine, and eventually completely stops as The Undertaker makes his way out. Once he gets to the ring and does his signature 'turning on the lights' pose, the whole stage rises with flames.
The Undertaker vs John CenaThe bell rings as Taker and Cena just stare each other down. Taker adjusts his elbow pads as Cena seems fired up already. They circle around the ring and lock up, with Taker pushing Cena away fast. However, Cena comes straight back and locks up once more, this time pushing the Dead Man back. He motions 'You Can't See Me' at him, only to be hit with a big boot. Taker then yanks him up and begins to deliver a series of strikes to the forehead and gut. Cena starts to strike back himself, and hits off the ropes and delivers a shoulder block, not sending Taker down. He does it again, and does drop him to the mat this time. He pops up fired up and ready. As Taker rises, he unloads with punch after punch, but he makes a mistake as Taker catches one, and kicks him in the gut. Now, holding onto the arm, he climbs onto the top turnbuckle and walks along the ropes. However, Cena pulls himself in closer and shakes the ropes, causing Taker to fall right on them. He takes advantage off it, and clotheslines him, causing Taker to fall to the outside. Cena follows after him and starts to strike down ferociously, and delivers a huge inverted suplex onto the hard floor. Cena rolls in and out of the ring to stop the count out. Taker starts to rise and he continues to strike at him before throwing him head first into the steel post. He goes right at him, but Taker ducks a punch and begins to deliver some of his own. He pushes Cena against the barricade and hits him in the jaw with some sharp elbows over and over again. With that, he pulls Cena back into the ring and follows. As he rises, Taker grasps him by the throat and lifts him high for the chokeslam, but Cena slides off and kicks him in the gut. He lifts him onto his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment, and delivers. He goes for the pin, but Taker just barely kicks out of it. Cena is in full rage, and yanks Taker back up.
