Smackdown: April 23, 2010
Mohegan Sun Arena: Uncasville, CT
The opening pyrotechnic display goes off, welcoming us to Smackdown.
Edge and Christian make their way down to the ring to open the show, two steel chairs, two ladders, and two tables set up. They get on a ladder each, and Edge speaks with a grin and tells the crowd that it is great to be here, but this Sunday when Chris Jericho and Big Show lose it will be even better. Christian speaks afterwards and says that him and Edge both have history with Chris, and as of right now they mutually have some problems with him. Edge points out now he has the world's fattest man as his partner. Christian agrees and sarcastically says that was a great choice. Edge then adjusts himself and says that even if he never gotten injured, Chris Jericho would probably still end up being the one wearing the dress much like he does now. E&C chuckle at it, and
Jerishow have heard enough of it already, and come out to the ramp. Jericho says first to Edge he's obviously wearing a suit, not a dress. Edge says he admits Jericho looks a lot better in a suit then Big Show looks in a sweater vest. Show looks at him with a blank expression, and Jericho tells him he is just jealous that Big Show is better then he ever will be. Christian scratches his head and asks who are the tag champs now, and Jericho says this Sunday they won't be. Show then speaks up and claims that they are facing the best tag team to ever grace the WWE, and with one right hook they will be done. Jericho then pipes up saying then he himself will take the tag team gold down. E&C look at each other and Edge dares him to come get another preview like they did on Monday. Jerishow look at each other, then begin to walk down to the ring. However, before Show gets into the ring, Jericho puts his hand out and backs him off. They back up the ramp as E&C climb down the ladders glaring their opponents for Sunday down.

Batista and Mr. McMahon make their way down to the ring. Vince gets on the mic and says that a couple weeks ago when he fired The Undertaker, his brother Kane decided it would be a good idea to stand up for him and try to assault him. The crowd pops a bit, and McMahon says that was an absolute idiotic idea, because Batista is here to make sure that he doesn't dare try and get near Vincent Kennedy McMahon again, ever. He hands the mic to Batista and he says that he has the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment on his side, therefore already proving that their is something great about it. Greater then anything Kane will ever be. He says that this Sunday, that sick freak is going to be burned by The Animal. The crowd boos, and the two step out of the ring and start to walk up the ramp. However, before they can make it all the way up a large pyro hits the stage - possibly mind games about this Sunday. He asks him what the hell he wants, and the ECW GM tells him he just wanted to be the first to tell him good luck with the future after tonight. Paul says that he wants to make ECW look like crap, and now he takes over Smackdown, it makes him sick to his stomach. Washington says that that is his opinion and he can't do a thing about it - except tell him it is wrong. He says that ECW was a joke all along, and really worthless, and with him as the general manager of any show will just bring ratings down anyway. He steps off the screen, but then comes back and tells Paul that ECW is dead once more.
We then go to Josh Mathews, who introduces his guest at the time to be Dolph Ziggler. He asks what he thinks of his big win over Rey Mysterio last week, and Dolph says it feels great - and tonight Rey wants a rematch; not a good idea. Dolph claims this week he will beat Rey Mysterio worse then he did last week - make him look like a complete joke. We then cut backstage to see CM Punk and John Morrison on a split screen, walking down towards the ring as the contract signing for their "I Quit" match for the World Heavyweight Championship match at Extreme Rules is up next.COMMERCIAL BREAKPaul Heyman makes his way down to the ring, seeming still annoyed by Abraham Washington's comments from earlier. He gets on the mic in the ring and says that this Sunday one man will say the words that is considered shameful to say in the wrestling business "I Quit", and the man who doesn't utter those words is the World Heavyweight Champion. He introduces
CM Punk, and he comes down to the ring ignoring the crowd's chorus of boos. He takes his seat and Heyman introduces
John Morrison, and the World Champion comes down to the ring. Heyman says he is going to make this plain and simple, sign the contract and the match for this Sunday will be official. Both men grab at the contract, and Morrison speaks up telling Punk to do what he'll do Sunday and quit it. He tugs the contract away from him and signs it. He slides it across to Punk, who says that he doesn't need to sign this. He offers Morrison to give up his lifestyle of rock star posing and partying and be like him and become Straight Edge and truly be better then all these people. Morrison tells him to sign the contract, and Punk continues - Morrison telling him to sign the damn contract. Punk smirks as Morrison is getting more angry with every word, and he tells Morrison he is a joke to society and he knows deep down in his alcohol consumed body from all those parties, he knows it. They stare down, and Punk smiles sickly and signs the contract. They continue to stare at each other and Morrison eventually speaks up, telling Punk that sooner or later one of them are just going to jump over this table and beat the living hell out of each other - so they might as well get to that now. He throws the mic down and jumps up, diving over the table and taking Punk down, pounding down on him viciously. Punk quickly scrambles away, but trips over the table and Morrison continues to beat him down - Punk manages to escape from the ring and the two stare each other down, Morrison raises the World Title to end Smackdown.[/font]
