l JUNE 29th, 2010 l MOHEGAN SUN ARENA AT CASEY PLAZA: WILKES-BARRE, PA l
No opening pyros go off to start the show as we immediately go to the parking lot to see Rob Van Dam stepping out of his car. He fixes the ECW Championship on his shoulder, but Drew McIntyre comes running up behind him and clotheslines him to the floor. He begins to beat down on him across his back until security comes rushing in. McIntyre yells at them to get away and drags RVD up, only to drop him with the Future Shock right on the pavement. He laughs as he rises to his feet, saying "see you tonight champ" and walks away. RVD rolls around in pain as we fade back to ringside where the ECW Championship match is promoted.
Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Qualifier Mark Henry vs Ezekiel Jackson
As soon as the bell rings, Jackson big boots Henry in the face. He completely overpowers him surprisingly, note the size of Henry as well, and they each hit a lot of slams on each other for a few minutes. Henry almost gets the win following the World's Strongest Slam, but Jackson kicks out. They trade momentum for a minute or so before Jackson boots Henry in the face again and drops him with the Book of Ezekiel and gets the pinfall and win.
Winner of the match: [url=Ezekiel Jackson [6:46] **1/2
Following the match, Shelton Benjamin is shown backstage watching the television nodding as he has his opponent for Money in the Bank in a few weeks. Jackson celebrates his victory as he is put over as a huge threat in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Evan Bourne vs Billy Kidman
The bell rings, Kidman taking control early on throwing Bourne to the mat and beating him down showing a very aggressive side to himself. After a couple minutes of Kidman destroying Bourne, he climbs to the top rope and goes for the Shooting Star Press but Bourne rolls out of the way. Bourne takes control for a while with kicks and drops, Kidman barely able to fight back, and Bourne takes him down and hits the Air Bourne and gets the pin.
Winner of the match: Evan Bourne [8:23] ***
Following the match, Bourne begins to celebrate. Kidman gets up behind him however, and clotheslines him to the the mat. He beats him down a bit before climbing to the top rope and hitting the Shooting Star Press. He gets up telling Bourne he's going to end his career.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Justin Gabriel vs Kaval
The bell rings, the match going back and forth with hard and sharp kicks. Kaval gets a few takedowns and a couple near falls, but Gabriel fights back hard. Kaval knocks him down multiple times with his unique kicks over the next few minutes, and goes to the top rope and attempts the Warrior's Way, but Gabriel rolls away. As he gets up, he hits a huge superkick and climbs to the top rope, topping it off with a 450 splash and getting the pin.
Winner of the match: Justin Gabriel [7:12] ***
Gabriel celebrates his victory after the match. Kaval gets up and shakes his hand, a possible sign of new respect found. However, a man with curly dark blonde hair comes into the ring and clotheslines Kaval down with authority. He then ducks a shot from Gabriel and lifts him up in an Electric Chair, but drops him slightly before hitting a German Suplex. He gets to his feet and sends both his palms out and smashes them into Kaval's chest, sending him to the mat. He taunts to the crowd.
Commercial Break
Paul Heyman makes his way down to the ring as we return and he gets on the mic. He says first of all that the man that everybody just witnessed arrive and beat the holy hell out of Justin Gabriel and Kaval was none other then the man he most recently signed, Kenny Omega. Some of the crowd knowing of the indy scene applaud his name, but others boo loudly. He says the real reason he is out here, however, is to talk about the ECW Challenge. He says that ECW has been down in most of these confrontations, and he has decided upon something: Rob Van Dam will be the only one in the ECW Challenge, each week, and if he happens to lose one week he'll defend it against that superstar the next. The crowd begin to boo Heyman, but he says that they should not be booing him - they should be cheering him, he's having Rob Van Dam compete for them each week now and they should be happy with that! He says as for anybody else who wants to try and take the ECW Championship, he wishes them good luck, because they are going to need it. He steps out of the ring and takes a seat at ringside for the main event.
Commercial Break
Singles Match for the ECW Championship Drew McIntyre vs Rob Van Dam©
The bell rings, RVD still holding onto his ribs and head from the assault earlier. McIntyre takes advantage off it by slamming RVD to the mat and stomping him over the head and the gut. RVD fights back after taking abuse for a few minutes by hitting some nice kicks and taking McIntyre down multiple times. However, the Future Shock is hit but RVD finds some way to kick out of it. They continue to go at it, McIntyre taking things to the outside at one point and throwing RVD into the steel steps, post, and announce table. However, as they get back in the ring, McIntyre sets up for the Future Shock again, but RVD slips out of it and rolls him up getting the 3!
Winner and still ECW Champion: Rob Van Dam [10:28] ***
After the match, RVD struggles to his feet as he tends to his head and mid section. McIntyre gets up in complete rage and kicks RVD in the gut before taking him by the straps and throwing him shoulder first into the steel post. He pulls him to the middle of the ring and hits the Future Shock once again before standing over him and taking the ECW Championship from the referee, proceeding to raise it in the air as if he had won to bring an end to ECW.

ECW, interesting way to open up the show with the attack, I hope McIntyre doesn't win the belt though. So glad Ezekiel Jackson gets the Money in the Bank spot, he deserves it more than Henry, and fits in better, too. Great victory for Evan Bourne, I hope to see him in the ECW Championship hunt soon. Pleased to see Justin Gabriel win here, I'd love some sort of altercation between him and Evan Bourne. Kenny Omega debuting, I don't know who he is, I'll look him up. Good segment from Paul Heyman. Very happy to see Rob Van Dam retain the ECW Championship, McIntyre doesn't deserve it just yet. Although I would like to see him win it in the future. McIntyre would be a good addition to ECW, imo. Good show, now bloody catch-up with mine!

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 29th June 2010...Nice action-packed start to tonight's edition of ECW on SyFy with Rob Van Dam being attacked by Drew McIntyre in the parking lot. An ECW Championship match tonight is interesting, but this is a little odd for WWE programming to start like this. In addition, I feel that RVD will definitely win tonight after the attack from McIntyre. Good opening contest, glad to see Ezekiel Jackson qualify over Mark Henry any day. Next, a match I would have preferred to open things up, a great win for Evan Bourne against Billy Kidman, but Kidman's post-match attack was sweet and it looks like he's going to go back to trying to injure superstars with the Shooting Star Press, which would be dramatically good. Justin Gabriel and Kaval...too much like Bourne and Kidman. On the same episode too, which I dislike. Gabriel with the win was better. Paul Heyman's promo was decent, but I'm not sure of how Kenny Omega debuted so soon. He would have definitely gone to FCW, despite being previously trained and signed by the WWE. Hopefully you don't rush Omega. Lastly, obvious ECW Championship defense by RVD against McIntyre. A good show but the post-match attack from McIntyre wasn't necessary, really. A good show, maybe a little too packed for my liking.

-Not a fan of McIntyre attacking RVD, hope RVD keeps the strap. -Zeke Jackson over Henry is the way smarter choice -Bourne over Kidman makes sense because Kidman attacked Bourne last week. -Justin Gabriel over Kaval makes sense to get Gabriel over -Kenny Omega!? SWEET! -RVD winning is fantastic not so sure about the post match attack though. -Good ECW

- Very intense start with McIntyre attacking RVD. Looking forward to their match later on. - Jackson beating Henry is good as Jackson/Shelton is the better match for a MITB qualifier. - Kidman/Bourne sounded like a fantastic match. Nice to see that this feud will continue. - Great to see two young guns such as Gabriel and Kaval go at it. Gabriel winning is perfectly fine. The post match by this unknown man sounded cool - Ah, Kenny Omega. - Very good main event here and RVD retaining is definitely the best decision. not sure about the show ending the way it started though. - Very good ECW

ECW -Big Zeke should make a fine competitor in the MITB. Like to see some huge guys in there. -Bourne/Kidman, two great competitors. Liked their match. Bourne winning was great. Hope you advance him toward ECW Championship pushes. -Gabriel beating Kaval was fine. Both men I like so nothing wrong there. -Wow. Love Kenny Omega being brought to the ECW. Should make a good fit to the 'W.' -RVD retaining the gold was nice. Hope he gets a lengthy reign.

l JULY 2nd, 2010 l MOHEGAN SUN ARENA AT CASEY PLAZA: WILKES-BARRE, PA l "Cutting Christian's Edge"
The opening pyros go off as we are welcomed to Smackdown. However, before any further introductions can be made Chris Jericho and Batista step out to the ramp together scanning over the crowd in question. They make their way down to the ring and Jericho says that he and Batista are here together for one reason and one reason only and that's to talk directly to Abraham Washington. Batista speaks up and says that him and Chris see eye-to-eye about their situation, ever since they have come to Smackdown they have been treated like crap and even with Abraham Washington as the General Manager, they still are! Jericho says he wants to make this short and sweet and to the point - they are being cheated by low ranked superstars on a low ranked show and most importantly aren't getting what they deserve on the B show. After some boos, Batista tells everybody to shut up and listen to what they have to say. Jericho thanks him and says that they are going to be leaving Smackdown. The crowd cheer and Batista yells at them to shut up again, saying that without them Smackdown will be nothing. Jericho says that Abraham Washington might want to get something done about this because if they just go ahead and quit Smackdown and go to Raw, he will be losing very valuable money. They wait in the ring and Batista says that he might want to get himself out here right now. Abraham Washington steps out to the ramp pleading with them not to leave Smackdown. He asks what they want and Jericho says they want their respect and what they deserve. Washington says he can't just hand out world title shots, regardless if they deserve them. Batista says he might want to do something about it before the show is over - or they are out of here! Washington looks in concern as Jericho and Batista stare at him in the ring.
Commercial Break
Singles Match for the United States Championship Zack Ryder vs Bryan Danielson©
This former Smackdown rivalry reforms as the bell rings, and Danielson takes Ryder down multiple times trying to get him in submission holds. They go at it for a couple minutes, Danielson getting the better of the Long Island Loudmouth. Ryder does fight back though, raking the eyes then getting some work in. Danielson manages to catch hold of him on the Rough Ryder and drops him to the mat, applying the Cattle Mutilation and making him tap.
Winner and still United States Champion: Bryan Danielson [8:17] **1/2
Danielson celebrates and we cut backstage. Washington is on his phone and he is pleading that Jericho and Batista are two of his top stars, he can't just let them go like this. He says he is willing to work out a deal. He listens for a moment and asks if they are serious, and then bursts out laughing. He says he wants more then that or else he's not going to- he stops talking. He says he likes the idea of that. He'll announce it later on. He hangs up with a grin.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Jack Swagger vs Booker T
The bell rings and Booker takes Swagger down multiple times in the opening minutes with chops and hard and high kicks. Swagger takes him down in retaliation and gets a few near falls following some hard slams. Momentum sways both ways with neither superstar getting the upper hand until the Book End is hit, but Swagger kicks out. Booker then goes for the Scissors Kick but Swagger moves and hits the Gut Wrench Powerbomb and gets the pinfall.
Winner of the match: Jack Swagger [9:01] ***
After the match, Swagger celebrates his victory. He tells Booker he is nothing compared to him and steps out of the ring, still in celebration.
Commercial Break
We return and Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring slowly. He gets on the mic and says ever since he came to Smackdown he has been treated terribly by CM Punk and his Straight Edge Society. He points out that in fact he was the first one to be assaulted by his Straight Edge Society. He laughs a bit before saying that last week CM Punk did more then just cost him the WWE Championship, but he cost himself his career because once he sees him he is going to punt him so hard in the skull he's going to wish he didn't cross him again because it was the biggest mistake of his career. He stares directly into the camera and says that Punk may have himself a Money in the Bank qualifier tonight, but he has one for himself next week and he's looking forward to winning that match, winning at Money in the Bank, and hoping that CM Punk is good enough to even get that far so he can meet him in the main event and destroy him limb by limb! With that, CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society make their way down to the ring. Punk applauds Randy as he gets on the mic. He says those were some tough words from Randy, and he loves every single one of them. He says Randy is now probably wondering why he loves those words so much, and it's quite simple actually - because they are so wrong. He says he will be defeating MVP tonight, and he will be defeating Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank, and then he'll go into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and win it for a 3rd time well Randy is on the mat watching with tears in his eyes. They stare down and Punk checks his wrist as if there was a watch there and says it's time for his match. He asks if Randy is going to wish him luck with a pathetic-looking fake face, and Orton just glares at him before saying good luck. He steps out of the ring staring him down and takes a seat at ringside.
Commercial Break
Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Qualifier CM Punk w/Straight Edge Society vs Montel Vontavious Porter
The bell rings and MVP hits some hard moves to start things off, getting a few near falls even within the opening minutes. Punk fights back though cheaply and even attempts a GTS after a little while, but MVP drops down and hits the Play of the Day. A long two count comes out of that, and they continue to trade momentum afterward. MVP goes for a clothesline, but Punk lifts him up and hits the GTS out of nowhere and pins him for the 3.
Winner of the match: CM Punk [10:16] ***1/4
Following the match, Orton goes crazy on the outside and RKOs Cross to the floor, then ducks a shot from Mercury as he gets up and RKOs him to the floor! Punk looks from the inside with wild eyes, and Orton stares him down. As Punk tries to escape from one side, Orton follows around. Punk gets out but Orton is right behind him. He chases him in a full circle around the ring, and Punk trips over the bottom step of the steel steps. Orton smiles evily as Punk struggles to a knee, and he goes to punt him but Mercury comes diving and takes Orton down. He begins to beat down on him until Cross and Punk both come over and beat him down. After they are satisfied with what they have done, they walk off leaving Orton on the outside.
Commercial Break
6-Person Tag Team Match The Rotundo's and Women's Champion Beth Phoenix vs The Uso's and Melina
The bell rings, match starting with Bo and Jimmy. They each take each other down a few times, Jimmy getting the upper hand the most. A bunch of frequent tags between the brothers on both sides, before Beth and Melina get in and go at it. After a couple minutes, Bo and Duke seem really entertained as Melina applies a submission hold to Beth. She notices and slaps Duke across the face, which gives Beth the advantage for the Glam Slam and win.
Winners of the match: Beth Phoenix and The Rotundo's [6:47] **
The three celebrate their victory as The Uso's just walk off shaking their heads well Melina lays out in the ring.
Commercial Break
We return and General Manager Abraham Washington makes his way out to the ramp. He gets on the mic and says first of all he wants to make it clear to anybody who hasn't been on WWE.com lately; on August 26, Smackdown will be returning to Thursday nights and it will be live! The crowd give a pop to it and Washington goes on saying at first tonight it was a rough start, but he called up Raw General Manager Teddy Long and he has some good news and some bad news. He says first of all, Chris Jericho and Batista will no longer be a part of Smackdown. The crowd give a mixed reaction and he says they will be going to Raw. He then says that he did get something out of this, and that is he got 3 superstars brought to Smackdown. The crowd cheer for that, and he says first of all Smackdown gets 'The Big Red Machine' Kane! He gets a decent pop, he then says secondly they get 'The World's Largest Athlete' Big Show! A mixed reaction for him, and he says last but certainly not least, somebody who may be injured, but will certainly be reigning supreme among Smackdown once he is back: 'The Game', 'The King of Kings', Triple H! He gets a huge reaction of cheers, regardless of his reaction actions in the past months. He says we'll see if it is worth it, as Triple H will not be back until he is healed from his injury, and next week we will have Kane and Big Show face one-on-one.
We cut backstage to see Josh Mathews and he introduces his guest to be Sheamus. He asks what he thinks of the new acquisitions to Smackdown, and he just chuckles. He says it doesn't matter to him, quite honestly, because he is better then Kane, he is better then Big Show, and he is certainly much better then Triple H. He says all and all he doesn't care at this point, he has his sights set on is destroying Kofi Kingston tonight.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Kofi Kingston vs Sheamus
The bell sounds, Kingston getting the upper hand early on. He takes Sheamus down multiple times and gets a few near falls. Sheamus fights back hard, however, and sends Kingston down with some hard shots of his own. They go back and forth with momentum, each getting some near falls. Sheamus ducks the Trouble in Paradise and hits the Celtic Cross, but Kingston manages to kick out. After a few more minutes, Kingston manages to will himself to fight back, and gets a near fall after the Trouble in Paradise. They go back and forth some more before Sheamus hits the Bicycle Kick out of nowhere, and proceeds to drag Kingston back up and hit the Celtic Cross in a struggle and pins him for the win.
Winner of the match: Sheamus [11:13] ***
After the match, Sheamus pounds his chest and raises his fists in victory, yelling out to the crowd.
Commercial Break
We return to see the set of The Cutting Edge set up in the ring. Following the look over of the set, WWE Champion Edge makes his way down to the ring to a lot of heat. He gets on the mic and says he has had a real tough time ever since he became the WWE Champion. He says the WWE isn't giving him any breaks at live events, Randy Orton didn't give him a break last week on Smackdown, but tonight he finally gets to do what he wants to do and that is host The Cutting Edge. He looks around the ring and smiles, saying he loves the look of this set, it reminds him so much of himself. He says enough of loving himself, because he can already do that enough after he comes out victorious each time he steps in the ring and proves a point. After some loud boos, Edge finally says that's enough - and introduces his guest, "the worst superstar in the WWE today" Christian. Christian comes down to the ring to a good pop, and he just smiles as he gets in the ring. Edge tells him to take a seat, and props his foot up on the stool he was about to sit on. Christian swipes his foot off it and tells him he'd like a little respect. Edge glares at him wide eyed as he takes a seat. Christian says this is a nice little show, but he remembers one he used to have that was much better then this piece of crap. Edge laughs and tells him he needs to stop living in the past, because 'The Peep Show' was probably the highlight of his career. Christian retaliates saying that he won't be saying that after he loses his WWE Championship to him at Money in the Bank. The crowd cheer at his words and Edge says he's sorry to inform him, but that isn't going to happen. Some boos and Christian stands up, saying he might be right, but he'd bet money he's wrong. He reaches in his pocket and pulls out his wallet. He steps out of the ring and goes up to J.R. at ringside. He asks if J.R. is a gambling man, and he says on commentary he supposes so. Christian asks if he thinks he's going to make Edge look even more pathetic then he already does at Money in the Bank just like the Oklahoma Sooners do to their opponents! J.R. stands up and takes the money Christian has out and says hell yes he believes it. Edge looks on with a look of confusion and shock. Christian laughs and gets back in the ring saying good ol' J.R. knows best. Edge tells him to shut up right now, because he keeps on talking about becoming the top star in this business, but ever since he made the mistake of 'at last' going on his own, he's never had a bigger title then 'the joke known as' the ECW Championship, well he's been the WWE and Heavyweight Champion 10 times! Christian agrees that he has been pretty successful, but he's also kissed a lot of ass over the years to get there. They stare down and Edge mimics him before dropping his mic and swinging the WWE Title, laying Christian out. He kicks his stools over and backs up, preparing for the spear in the corner. As soon as Christian rises, he does so. He gets up with the WWE Championship, raising it high in the air as the crowd boo to end Smackdown.

Let me post what I's feel. -Jericho & Batista was good. I enjoyed it a bit - Danielson winning was a wise choice, for I hope he has a good title run - Swagger getting his revenge was very good, can't have booker keep having the upperhand - The trade was an good idea my friend - CM Punk FTW!!!!! - Sheamus winning is cool with me - The Cutting Edge was very enjoyable, I love how Edge gets that upperhand with that spear, and the joke with the Oklahoma Sooners Overall, a good show as always made by AJ

- I love the Jericho/Batista alliance, and the fact that they are going so far to get their demands. I wonder what Washington's going to do? - Danielson retaining is nice see as how he just won it and it would've been very disappointing to see him drop it so quick. - What's Washington's announcement? - Swagger going here is a good call as this allows his feud with Booker to continue. - A very good promo from Orton addressing his issues with the SES. I can see both men meeting each other in the MITB match. - With Punk going over MVP, i wonder what's next for MVP? - I love how Orton went crazy on the SES, only for the segment to end with the SES standing tall over Orton. - Phoenix and The Rotundos getting the win is fine. - Jericho and Batista heading to Raw is good as there was really nothing for them to do on SD! anymore. Kane and Big Show are nice additions, but Triple H really surprised me. Can't to see what all three men have in store. - Sheamus over Kofi is rather interesting, but i'm happy to see it. - An extremely entertaining edition of The Cutting Edge. Good to see Edge stand tall over Christian in the end, but I would like to see it reversed at some point before MITB. - Good SmackDown, not really any flaws that I could find.

SmackDown, interesting opening segment, I wonder if Washington will do anything. Glad to see Bryan Danielson go over here, he needs a lengthy United States Championship reign. I am glad Jack Swagger went over Booker T, he needed the victory. Good promo with Orton and Punk, I am enjoying their feud. I was surprised to see CM Punk win here, wasn't expecting that. I really hope he doesn't win it for a third time, I hope Kingston beats him at the PPV. A good victory for the faces, and the diva finish makes sense. Wow, so Chris Jericho and Batista to Raw, with Kane, Big Show and Triple H to SmackDown? Sounds good. SHeamus defeating Kofi Kingston was good, I hope to see Sheamus pushed in the near future. Great finish to SmackDown with The Cutting Edge, but I really hope Christian doesn't win the WWE Championship, Edge needs to retain at WWE Money in the Bank. Good show.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 2nd July 2010...Decent opening promo to start things off, as Chris Jericho and Batista came to the ring, which is an extremely odd combination. I do like how they think they are high-ranked for SmackDown and above everybody else. Very nice, and mentioning Abraham Washington as General Manager. Abe Wash pleading is perfectly in character of Washington to do. Bryan Danielson retaining the WWE United States Championship was very predictable, Zack Ryder came close though. Hopefully we will see him as champion one day, but Danielson's reign is too young right now. I think that Jack Swagger and Booker T should have opened or first-hour main evented, but good out that I think Booker should have won being that this is I believe his in-ring return. A feud with these two sounds good. A solid promo from Randy Orton intercepted by CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society. This followed with a promo, surprised that CM Punk won however, but looking forward to see if Punk gets another WWE Championship opportunity at Orton. Nice effort by MVP. Assault from the Society is a good touch, violent. Melina and The Uso's is a bizarre combination, but so is Beth Phoenix and The Rotundos. Beth and Melina really would get the Uso's and Rotundos some reaction in real life; they both get zero reaction. Beth getting the win was interesting, funny with Melina slapping perverted Duke Rotundo though. Abraham Washington's promo and announcement was good, could have opened up though. Excited about the new additions to SmackDown, but random how Triple H winds up here. I guess he's going part time again. Is Stephanie McMahon pregnant again? Sheamus beating Kofi Kingston is fine, not a bad match. Lastly, superb promo from Edge and Christian on the Cutting Edge. Set up for Money in the Bank. Great show.

He says he is back on Raw and he is here to stay and make a statement. He says he is off of the second rate show and over here on Raw, the #1 show. He gets a pop for that, but he says that the only reason it will remain as the #1 show is because he is now a part of it. He goes on to say that tonight he has to team with the World Heavyweight Champion, The Miz, and he is actually pretty satisfied with doing so because he gets a chance to get revenge against John Cena for their match last week where John Cena unfairly got the victory. He says he is sick and tired of being pushed around on Smackdown for the past year by lugging around 500 pounds of dead weight and then being disgraced by having to face a nobody like Kofi Kingston and not getting what he deserves. He says he deserves the World Championship and he'll do whatever it takes to get it back and he's starting tonight. John Cena interrupts and makes his way down to the ring to a huge pop. He gets on the mic and says he wants to be the first to welcome Chris Jericho back to Monday Night Raw. He says that they have had some history in the past but he wants to make something clear: that slate is clean. Jericho says he doesn't care if the slate is clean to John Cena, he got him fired 5 years ago and he still holds that grudge against him because during the time he had to be gone for 2 years, John Cena was being cheered by the little kids in the front row well those who actually know what is good for them were still cringing that they didn't see him each and every week. Cena laughs and tells Jericho that is fine, but it doesn't effect him one bit because he is an 8 time world champion and is damn sure more appreciated then Chris Jericho is and even if he wants to deny it he knows deep down on the inside it is true. Jericho takes offense to it and says it doesn't mean anything, because he's still the best in the world at what he does and John Cena is a nobody. Cena continues to laugh and Jericho slaps him across the face. Cena fires back with strikes until Jericho hops out of the ring and quickly makes his way around the ring and up the ramp.

After the match, Ted celebrates his victory. However, Rhodes orders Brett and Joe in the ring, and they go. They get taken down with shots by Ted and Rhodes looks concerned on the outside. Ted motions for him to come into the ring, but Rhodes tells him to turn around. Batista spears him as soon as he does and lifts him up. Rhodes orders him to finish him, and Batista hits the Batista Bomb. He taunts to the crowd as Rhodes looks on satisfied.
Commercial Break
We return and Vince McMahon, Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard make their way down to the ring. Vince gets on the mic and says recently it's been all about Bret Hart and his troubles with him, but he's not worried about it tonight because Bret Hart has been banned from the arena thanks to him. The crowd boo and he says that he assaulted Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard last week and he needs time to think about what he did. He says, however, he is here for a reason and that reason is to confront the General Manager. He orders him to come down to the ring, and soon after Teddy Long comes down to the ring silently. Vince says that he brought Teddy over to Raw in December to end the whole 'guest host' concept. Teddy nods and he says that was a terrible decision! He asks what the hell he was thinking last week when he stripped Big Show of the Intercontinental Championship, that was one of the worst decisions he has ever made! Teddy apologizes and Vince says he better be sorry and asks what his plans are with the title. Teddy asks for a mic and says he thought that one through, and Vince tells him he better have. Teddy says in 2 weeks he will hold 2 matches, 1 that week and 1 the next, with 4 superstars he finds the most deserving, the winners of those matches will go on to face the other at Summerslam for the Intercontinental Championship. Vince says that sounds just dandy, and orders him out of his ring right now. He says it's time for Shad Gaspard to show what he's made of against David Hart Smith.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Shad Gaspard w/Jayson Paul and Vince McMahon vs David Hart Smith w/Tyson Kidd
The bell rings, both men showing their strength to start things off with multiple lock ups. Shad gets some cheap shots in after a couple minutes of Smith in control and begins to overpower him with hard slams and clotheslines. He misses a big boot and Smith hits the running powerslam, but Shad rolls out of the ring. As they continue to go back and forth trading momentum, Paul grabs Smith's leg and distracts him, and Shad hits a big boot and gets the pin.
Winner of the match: Shad Gaspard [9:08] **3/4
Following the match, Paul clotheslines Kidd on the other side of the ring. He gets in and he begins to stomp down Smith along with Shad. After a couple minutes, Hawkins pulls out of the corner from the Shattered Dreams and hits a DDT and climbs to the top turnbuckle, hitting an elbow drop and getting the pinfall.
Winner of the match: Curt Hawkins [5:43] **
Following the match, Hawkins gets on the mic and says it's time for him to make his presence known. He says Teddy Long is searching for the most deserving in those Intercontinental Championship battles. He points to himself he deserves it more then anybody, and if he gets that opportunity, he is going to show the world why Curt Hawkins is the greatest thing to hit America since Jersey Shore. He laughs a bit before taunting to the crowd.
The cameras head backstage to show Matt Hardy making his way down to the ring as he'll apparently be speaking next.
Commercial Break
Matt Hardy makes his way down to the ring in black dress clothes and gets on the mic. He says for the last half of the year he has been known as this guy who is paranoid and just wants everybody else to be suffering. He says that is completely false, he isn't paranoid and he isn't just beating the living hell out of people to make them suffer. He says he is sick of being in the shadow of his brother, who has been a multiple time world champion - but he never even gets a shot. He says he's been doing these things to make a statement and to get recognized, but that hasn't happened and it's time Matt Hardy gets some time in the spotlight and he's demanding that begins right now. He steps out of the ring and grabs the timekeepers chair, getting back in the ring and sitting on it. He crosses his arms and says he isn't satisfied with the way he is being treated, and if anybody wants to argue against him, they can speak up right now! Santino Marella makes his way down to the ring with Hardy rolling his eyes. He says he needs to stop whining, he should be happy he still has a job. He jokes that he barely does anymore being the loser he is. Marella begs him off as he gets to his feet and says that he agrees, he is in the shadow of his brother but he needs to stop complaining and show why he deserves more. Hardy looks around before saying he's right, and drives his microphone into Santino's head. He mounts on top of him and begins to strike viciously until multiple referees come down to the ring to pull him off. He yells at them to back off and folds the chair up. As soon as Santino rises, he hits him over the back with it and throws the chair aside. He drags him to his feet and hits the Twist of Fate before getting out of the ring and making his way up the ramp, Santino completely out cold.
Commercial Break

Commercial Break
We return and Miz and Cena are in the ring now, Miz in control. He hits a few clotheslines and a few elbows. He goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Cena pulls him onto his shoulder and hits the Attitude Adjustment. Jericho breaks the pin up though. After a couple minutes of frequent tagging from both teams, Miz hits Morrison in the back of the head with the World Title after he hits the ropes and Y2J hits the codebreaker and gets the pinfall victory.
Winners of the match: Chris Jericho and The Miz [13:41] ***1/4
After the match, Miz gets in the ring begins to stomp down on Morrison. However, Cena comes into the ring and clotheslines him down. -The opening promo was good, a Jericho/Cena feud is always good. Never liked when Jericho calls Smackdown a second rate show, it's not good for business -Interesting that Eve is a heel in this diary. Glad Natalya made her tap out -Liked McIntyre's promo, straight to the point -I like the Regal/Barrett pairing, and having McIntyre attack Truth after the match is good -Ted qualifying is fantastic, Batista doesn't need MITB. Not a fan of Batista taking orders from Rhodes -Vince being assertive is good, as is the IC Title Tournament -Shad winning makes sense, but I hope the Dynasty win out this feud -Hawkins/Goldust is a weird match for Raw, but I like Hawkins trying to get into the IC Title situation -Matt attacking Santino is a great show of a vicious streak for him -Jericho and Miz winning is great to me, and I also enjoyed the post match stuff. Morrison standing tall was great
Good Raw, you have some very interesting angles going on here

I'm really enjoying this diary. Some GREAT stuff with Miz/Cena/Jericho on Raw. I'm liking The Miz' push.
MITB looks great. I love the idea of having the qualifier matches on the actual event.
