Im hopefully be getting them on dvd tomorrow and want to know what you guys think of the films
please no spoilers......until ive watched them.

The first was much better than the second. However, the storyline of the second one read very well... just the final outcome was less than what I expected.

Just watched Battle Royale, i loved it, thought it was very well made, good action
Its definately in my top 10
and i loved when the woman on the video was introducing the rules, it was so funny.

Just watched Battle Royale, i loved it, thought it was very well made, good action Its definately in my top 10 and i loved when the woman on the video was introducing the rules, it was so funny. First time I seen it I caught it half way through and just had to see the rest of it, so I ordered it on DVD for £4. Money very well spent. |

Battle Royale 1 is much better than Battle Royale 2. Not picking on 2, but it was a little hard to follow in points, and I can't even blame shoddy subtitles on that one.
However, either the book or the manga is a far better choice than the movies. The movie offs so many of the students so fast, and takes liberties with a lot of the details. I understand that had to happen to fit it in two hours, but still.....give the book a shot.
As for the remake. If it happens, it will be drastically altered.
All of the bleeding hearts and soccer moms will lose their f**king minds if they make a movie about eigth graders that have to kill one another.
So if it happens, expect them to be a lot older so that can't be classified as "kids" and expect them to due away with the school setting.
Basically expect a remake of "The Condemned" with a younger cast, and called "Battle Royale"
