Yeah, that's funny. I am 35 and been around wrestling for too long. All I can say, is let's just watch and see. Your 35 years old and are posting on a Wrestling Figure board about how you are absolutely convinced that Vince McMahon is trying to buy the UFC through the backdoor by placing his son in a position of "power" as the head of merchandising for UFC and having him purchase pieces of the company in chunks... does that actually make sense to you?

Surely someone else out there can see what is happening here. I firmly believe this is a behind the scenes unofficial "story-line." Shane "pretends" to leave the WWE, make negotiations to purchase a part of UFC, then eventually owns a larger share. Then after he owns most of it overtime, comes back in WWE, la-la....WWE, will then own UFC. Since, the UFC has been beating WWE with their pay-per-views and gaining popularity, they are actually WWE's biggest competition right now. And because Vince knows he can't buy the UFC from the front door, he is sending Shane in from the back. When you think about it, this is a very smart move. However, a very deceitful move. Vince knows he cant buy it like he did ECW and WCW, so this is his plans. This may not happen anytime soon, but it will be as soon as Shane can convince them to sell a portion of the company. Did you really think Shane and his Dad are going to "part ways?" This could be one of the most dirty deals of all time. And I can see this as plan as day happening. UFC, is WWE's competition and Vince is dying to get his hands on it and with a brilliant underhanded deal like this, he will own it eventually. I hope it doesnt happen. I am surprised though, that no one else has figured this whole thing out. When you look at wrestling and all the "Andy Kaufman" moments, it all truely makes perfect sense. Oh no! I literally laughed until it hurt. Then laughed some more. Seriously, there's no chance in hell anyone other than the Fertittas and Dana will own any piece of the UFC, no matter how small, for the foreseeable future. This is a promotion that can't even grasp the concept of co-promotion ever since the PRIDE deal made them the undisputed king of MMA. Any competition, hell, anything remotely resembling competition, has ultimately fallen before the Zuffa juggernaut, leaving Dana and co. to cherry-pick whatever pieces are left. There's absolutely no reason to change what is obviously a winning formula by adding outside interests/investors. All Shane can hope for is a cushy deal with big benefits and a nice paycheck, because if he sticks with his demands he'll be shown the same door Affliction and M-1 were shuffled out of.
