Just found this on Youtube why the hell didn't they televised or PPV this match it would of made a killing i also never know HBK and Taker had any altercation before ground zero ?

hmm.. i thought it would be Bret vs. Flair in the WWF title switch match from sas can.

Probably the same reason Flair vs. Wahoo for the NWA title (as seen on Monsters of The Mat vol. 2 on VHS) won't ever see the light of day on a WWE DVD. IMO, one of Flair's BEST matches ever!

They did show clips of the chair shot on TV and then Michaels sitting on the apron saying he was going to kick Diesel's ass. Diesels explanation was "Sean told me his back was out so I was trying to help" or something to that effect.

house shows always had matches that you would never have expected to see on television
plus it probably would have taken away from shawns momentum going into wrestlemania since diesel was already establishing the heel angle with taker
edit-woops never mind dude above me explained it already, automatically assumed this was before wrestlemania since it said march 96
so was this the start of the build-up to that IYH match?

so was this the start of the build-up to that IYH match? Yup. I think it happened after the last set of pre-WM12 TV tapings and they showed bits of it on the WrestleMania show. It's quite alarming to watch that and see how much easier HBK and Undertaker move around. |

I remember seeing bits of that on the WM12 build up for Diesel/Taker, didn't know it was from a house show though
