Damn, I hate watching The Ultimate Fighter and constantly seeing Rampage and Rashad getting in each other's faces talking about "I can't wait to knock your ass out". All it's doing is syking me up for a fight that will never happen. I really wish Spike TV would edit those parts out because they're basically just getting our hopes up for nothing.

I'm sure this can go into the offical page, but I feel EXACTLY the same way you feel. I feel like everything that happened this season was a waste. I want to see Evans/Jackson so badly and I know its not going to happen. Maybe one day, but damn it this was the big conclusion to this lackofaseason and it will not happen.

same here...
what a waste. I don't think it ever will happen either. Because I see Rashad losing to Thiago Silva. So if Rampage were to come back I think he would be fighting Thiago upon his return. Rampage would win.... meanwhile Shogun vs. Machida II happens and Shogun wins definitively and the UFC sets up a huge rematch in Rampage vs. Shogun II.
...or at least that is how I hope it all happens.

I also hate that rampage backed out of the fight but alot of the arguements were started by rashad tbh. Still I hate how rampae backed out...

I still hope this figt will happen to be honest, Zuffa has invested too much in setting it up as a main event not to make it happen as soon as Rampage comes back.

Rampage is my favorite fighter and I know his acting carrer won't last but to Sandy Rampage could still fight Rashad when he comes back because there the coches of TUF right? So I think the fight will happen just a little later.

Hope it eventually happens. But I honestly don't see Rashad beating Silva at 108. Hopefully he can though. and then they can set the fight up.

I think regardless if Evans beats Thiago or not, they'll still set it up. Hopefully. I think you're right. Regardless of when Rampage comes back or what happens to either fighter in the interim, Rampage vs. Rashad has to happen. They've done a good job establishing themselves as rivals, and neither guy has a more compelling opponent waiting in line. Rampage vs. Rashad has reached the same point that Matt Hughes' feud with Matt Serra did. Those two sold their feud so well that no matter how long we had to wait, and no matter how "relevant" the fight was in the title picture, it just had to happen eventually. Although I still think Serra vs. Hughes was a better pure feud than Rampage vs. Rashad. Rampage and Rashad do a good job talking smack in each other's faces, but with Serra and Hughes, you could tell they flat-out hated each other. They were just from two totally different worlds. |

^^yea I remember that. I was started to get really tired of hearing Matt Hughes talking about "God this" and "Jesus that"....and I think Matt Serra just wanted to shut him up. But unfortunately, it didn't pan out that way.
