Gutted for Jones, but Maz did take a point away for the illegal blow & following it Hamill clearly couldn't carry on so it had to be a DQ.
Hopefully Jones moves upwards from here cause apart from the end he looked great. Would love to see him vs. Vera next.
Big Country shows he is more than just a big gut. An experienced fighter with good skills & deserved the opportunity to get noticed at long last.
Plus with his experience at last a TUF champion who can jump straight into the division without build up fights to give him experience.
Houston had a great game plan to avoid Kimbo & work the leg kicks, if he'd have stuck with would have woin easilly. However Kimbo has improved, yeah stil gaps in that game but the suplex, the ground work & striking is far improved.

Wow that was surprising, kinda sad Schaub didn't win though. Why? Roy has way more potential (fight & marketing wise) than faggyazz Shaub. Shaub looks just like every other fighter in the UFC, big muscles, shaved head and tats. Roy, if marketed right, will be great for the UFC. |

The knockout was surprising because it happened so fast, not that Nelson won. |

They better make him next time.
And I hope they don't make a Roy action figure for 2 reasons:
1. I'll have to start collection UFC figs
2. There'll be a shortage of plastic for all other Jakks toy lines

I was shocked as hell. His ground game got a lot better. Hopefully his knee doesn't deter him to bad in the future. |

Really sucks that Marcus didn't win. I like the guy. But man does he ever have a glass jaw. I knew that Mitrione would take it easily if it came down to a slugfest. Simply becuase Matt can take a shot, and Marcus can't.
Hammil lost that fight. He was clearly done for before the elbows were dropped. Dana White and Joe Silva won't let his performance against Hammil go unnoticed.
As everyone probably feels, Kimbo/Houston was a supreme letdown. It was clear that both fighters repsected the other's punching power. But a little too much it seems. The Kimoplex along with that nasty leg kick/sweep were the only highlights of the fight. I knda was pulling for Alexander to prove that he was more than just a stack of muscles that could punch hard. I guess that's not the case.
I love Big Country! Great fighter that deserves to be where he is. Didn't picture him knocking Brenden out so it was a shock how he won. I only fear for him for when he has to go five rounds against a Lesnar, Randy, or Big Nog.

Nelson is a good fighter, look back to his IFL days, but your probably a person who thinks everyone outside the UFC is a joke. He clearly beat Monson but got screwed, and the Rothwell fight was close, i think he won. He did get ko'd in the arlovski fight but the standup was BS. But he for sure isn't a joke. First off, I think "Big Country" clearly proved he isn't a joke by finishing off Kimbo Slice, James McSweeney, and Brendan Schaub. That's pretty damn good the way I see it. And second, Dana White just handed him a 6-figure contract. Do you honestly think for one second he's going to get rid of him already?? Not  ing likely. Like it or not, Roy Nelson is here to stay for a long, long time. |

Well, I guess you're right when you say that some people are just ignorant. Roy Nelson may have won some fights back in IFL, but everyone knows how corrupt IFL and EliteXC was so don't even get me started. And the only thing that Roy showed me in TUF is that he thinks he's the crapwhen he hasn't done anything amazing. I admit, that knock out of Shaub was pretty cool, but besides that, he is a boring fighter and isn't going to amount to anything in the UFC. Mark my words. |

The whole future of Roy Nelson is going to be a fun one, whether you like him or hate him. I'm in between, he sometimes rubs me the wrong way with his arrogance and comments, but it's obvious he's a very well rounded fighter and for that I give him a thumbs up. I'm sure Dana will try and make his life a living hell with his next fights, but I would lmao if he just starts flying through opponents in the HW devision; with KO's and Subs, lol.
