Just been watching some of my older WCW stuff today, and some modern TNA. And you know its made me respect the stinger even more.
I think its fantastic someone his age is still in this kinda shape, seriously he is 50 years old! even though he is on a evident gradual slide,he still has an amazing spring and turn of pace.
In a age where we mock older wrestlers and believe they should be putting the young guys constantly over because there past it etc. always remember there is always one exception to the rule.
another year sting? if you can maintain this, why the hell not?

Foley/Sting at Lockdown was one of the worst matches I have seen all year. So I wouldn't say he has an amazing spring and turn of pace. Probably time for him to retire for good.

Sting has been wasting the twilight of his career in TNA. He needs to go to the WWE for that last big run in his career. Sting against HBK, or Taker would make an amazing Wrestlemania match and Sting's entrance at a Wrestlemania alone would be an instant "Wrestlemania Moment".

I agree 100%.
I don't think Sting would jeopardize his Christian values by signing with WWE, especially since they're pushing for PG based programming.
He is an icon in professional wrestling, and I don't think TNA's sendoff for him could hold a candle to what the WWE could produce.
Sting vs. Undertaker is probably the biggest match I could hope for.

Sting may have been great in the past, but his retirement is way overdue, he should have left years ago instead of sticking around to bury everyone

Foley/Sting at Lockdown was one of the worst matches I have seen all year. So I wouldn't say he has an amazing spring and turn of pace. Probably time for him to retire for good. but thats an unfair logic, the match was piss poor, but he has proved he is in great shape for his age had plenty of great performances. HT UKSting may have been great in the past, but his retirement is way overdue, he should have left years ago instead of sticking around to bury everyonei think you have been proven wrong, the upsides of this run in tna beats the bad ones by a mile. iam glad he came back, but ofcourse it aint over yet.. i think what iam really getting at is that i cant think of the top of my head a wrestler at 50 years old in north american history who's been in this kinda shape, and it could fair well be a precedent in the future for wrestlers taking care of themselves now, that they could be in even better shape years from now. it just annoys me that everyone can have a go at the flairs and the hogans since uncensored 99, but here's sting who can still go and pull off challenging moves. my opinion about age in wrestling is changing, much like other sports,if your 16 or 55,if your good enough it should be irrelevant.

He is in great shape, and he can still ocasionally have a good match, but he needed to retire. And legit retire, dont pull a Flair.

I agree 100%. I don't think Sting would jeopardize his Christian values by signing with WWE, especially since they're pushing for PG based programming. Which is weird cause TNA has much more adult-orientated content (Kristal/Steiner) than what the WWE offers.

I just don't wanna see home go yet. Greedy? Maybe. But, I can honestly say - he's my favorite of all time.

-- Sting to WWE is what Fedor is to UFC ... it's a mystery that's better left unsolved...
(for you who can't comprehend the analogy, I'd rather NOT see him in the E and continue wondering "what if" - though I already know the answer that Vince would NOT capitalize on him since Sting wasn't his creation. He's the 1 element from WCW that will forever NEVER be tainted by Vince . . . I'd like to keep it that way).

Sting is my favourite of all time, I agree entirely with your statement, it's a shame that others are too ignorant to realise it.

I dont think Sting will be tainted at all if he goes to the WWE for 1 or 2 matches, a Wrestlemania and a Summer slam against HBK and Taker is all that needs to be done, no story is needed, a Wrestlemania challenge from either HBK or Taker is surprisingly answered by Sting = awesome match.
Build up to Summerslam, HBK/ Taker challenge Sting and go "looking" for him, Sting only needs to show for the matches as the story can be done by HBK and Taker on their own because a match of that calibre needs no real build up, just the participants.

As my name probably reveals, Sting is my favorite of all time. And for years I've been hoping for a WWE run, but I highly doubt that it will happen now.

I'm not a huge #1 fan, but I've always liked the guy and really hope he continues to wrestle for a bit longer. He's a living legend and can still go.

If only he was apart of the WCW Invasion angle.. *sigh* The Raw after WM17, Austin and Vince celebrate in the ring after the heel turn. They take out the Rock and walk back up the ramp. The lights go off and you hear the music. A spotlight finds Sting in the rafters. He comes down and points the bat and McMahon and Austin. If only, if only.
