I can only use the scans if the pictures arent blurry. Even if they are only slightly blurry, once they have then been blown up to poster size, it makes it really obvious. Is anyone able to help with the few remaining scans required? If we can't get them together by Friday, I think I will struggle to complete the poster this side of Christmas, which is a shame.

I'm sort of out of the loop on this whole project but it's very interesting! Do you need scans of the back of the card or front? I have a card from every series of Hasbros, let me know which one and I'll scan them! Though I believe the cards were printed at either 300 of 600dpi, so anything more would be overkill, correct? Also if it's the back of the card, can't you just grayscale the images to kill blur and pixelation? Anyways, let me know guys what you need

Hey there! Nope not at all, regardless of the dpi which an image has been origianlly printed at, the higher the resolution you can scan it in at, the better the quality will be. Also, turning an image to greyscale will not affect the focus in any way. This will just remove any coloured tones, and turn the imge to monochrome. There are steps that you can take to 'de-blur' an image, but on line drawings of this type it still wouldn't look great, and it isn't exactly difficult to scan a flat piece of card without having it blur! hehe We just need the pictures from the back of the caards of the 13 figures listed in the first post of this thread. Once we have these images I will be able to complete the poster. Thanks again for all of your help!

in fairness, i scanned the back piece of the moc Bret 1 at 1200, and as you say, it came out blurry.
Dont know how.

The easiest thing to do is leave the lid of the scanner up, and just hold the card in place with your hand, so that the vibration of the scanner doesnt cause the image to blur

When I scanned them, My scans were at 1,200 dpi, but in inches, they were actual size. I was getting kind of jagged lines on the drawings.
I don't know why, but STOMWIJF's scans are at 72 dpi, about 80 inches tall (!!) and have very smooth lines.

I have to tell you, gentlemen...
This is the best idea (and post) I have EVER seen on this board. I do not have any Hasbros MOC, but I commend your efforts.
Excellent post!

HAPPY HONKY-DAYS EVERYBODY! I KNOW YOU LOVE ME! ;D Anyone still working on this masterpiece? Tibbo? I've been reading how to color line art like this, and here's what I've done so far. I'd like 2 versions of the poster, 1 colored, 1 B&W!! It's just a fun way to keep Hasbros alive! Wars P.S. I posted this in another thread (links to a Hasbro cardback on my website): warsman.com/HasbroBack.htmlI think this might be the easiest. I zipped it and put it on my site to host it. Let me know if it works.

Hey there guys! Hope all is going well, and you all had an awesome Christmas/New Years. Sorry I haven't been around much lately,.....I've been really busy sorting stuff for my band. I will upload the poster so far on Friday, and then hopefully that will inspire us enough to get the last few scans together and get this all finnished! Thanks again for all of your patience! It is going to be amazing once it is all sorted!

I can't wait for this! Thanks to those working on this!
Sadly, I don't have any card backings or MOC figures (only have a loose collection), so I wouldn't mind dropping a few $ for this after its over.
Just wondering, how big would this be able to be printed after its all done?

Is the "bearhugging" Hulkster really on the original poster twice?

They never did a pic of the Hulkaplex Hogan so they just reused the Hulkster Hug pic for whatever reason.

Is the "bearhugging" Hulkster really on the original poster twice? Wars Yeah, it is definately on the poster twice! The version that I am making is exactly the same as the original in every possible way.

How's the poster coming, Tibbo?
Sorry to bump from the second page, guys, but I'd hate to see the project be forgotten.
