However, while you won't be inclined... about 80% of mainstream wrestling fans will be tuning in to WWE programing. A think a test run, to see how well ratings do is a great idea. They should main event it with: "30 Minute Iron Man Match" ( TNA World Heavyweight Championship ) Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles ( c )People will tune in, to see that. Oh, it's true... it's DAMN true! - Triple S That's the type of thing TNA will have to do if they want people to tune into iMPACT! over RAW. for us and more general fans, ofcourse! but what about joe public?

The delusions, egos and personal vendettas of Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Dixie, etc. are coming into play here.
First off why not debut Hogan in the regular Thursday slot to see if he's has any drawing power left. There's no guarantee he'll draw, as I think Hogan is overexposed the past few years and the general public is sick of him. I don't think people recognize Hogan as a wrestling legend anymore. I think they see him as this reality star washout who has had a train wreck life the past few years. I think only the internet fans and these TMZ sites are the only ones who care about him.
The Austrailia toru didn't draw. They couldn't even fill up arenas with free ticket offers. The last time Hogan had a match in the U.S. (the Memphis show) didn't draw.
Just think, if TNA doesn't draw on Monday nights it will be an ego blow to the Hulkster and he'll want to bail quickly after. He doesn't want to create the perception that he's a failure.

If TNA did a LIVE iMPACT on that day, competiting against RAW. They'd need to do the following to make it a success. 1) No adverts ; no gaps inbetween the action for people to go back to RAW 2) Hogans debut starts the show, therefore isn't talked about for 2 hours, then it only lasts 5 mins. Have him come out and do a promo, then leave. Then no more Hogan 3) Have lots of PPV quality matches, Angle vs AJ? Joe vs Daniels? etc etc 4) No comedy skits, don't try and be sports entertatinment, focus on wrestling. Now if that happend, they'd destroy RAW. But what will really happen is probably the direct opposite No..... No they wouldn't. I'd say at least half of all people that watch WWE are just casual watchers and most likely don't even know what TNA is. On any given day WWE is going to destroy TNA in ratings even if TNA puts on a better show, this is just based on WWE being the more popular show. Think of it like this. (Even though I enjoy WWE more, this is just a comparison you could understand) WWE is like Playboy, the more widely accepted adult magazine even though everyone says it's too stale and there's not a lot of photos of women (wrestling matches on the show) whereas TNA is Internet porn, what everyone is watching these days, the better product and more variety. However everyone knows Playboy but who knows any internet adult sites?

They should wait till Monday Night Football ends before they try a Monday show.
