Thought this would be a good thread to make to deside what was the best match of the year was?
just make a post of what you think the match of the year was, then this thread will get locked after the last ppv of the year (tna final resolution i think) then the nominations will be put in a poll/polls then find out what WFigs MOTY is. (try to put a date with the match e.g. at royal rumble 2009 etc.)
I'll start of by saying the best matches the 2 main companies have put on this year:
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels - Wrestlemania 25
AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe vs Daniels - TNA Turning Point

Putting the cliche "TAKER VS. HBK~!" stuff aside;
- Chris Jericho (c) vs. Rey Mysterio Intercontinental title match from The Bash
- John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio (c) for the Intercontinental title on Rey's last SmackDown before his suspension

Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker is hands down the WWE match of the year. There have been some other great matches, like the aforementioned two, and Christian vs. Swagger, but nothing comes close to the drama that Shawn and Taker had.

Although I got too admit taker vs. HBK probably will get this. They had everyone reacting even those who were just reading reports.

Morrison and Bourne had a awesome match on ECW back in April. I enjoyed Taker/HBK most of all though.

Morrison and Bourne had a awesome match on ECW back in April. I enjoyed Taker/HBK most of all though. Its about time someone nominated a match that isnt SO mainstream. Geez. Morrison/Bourne was a great match, but there were 2 matches of Morrison/Shelton I liked better. There was the episode of Smackdown, cant recall the date and their match at Judgment Day. I was also a big fan of Morrison/Hardy from Smackdown following NOC. And also Christian/Zack Ryder from ECW after NOC. As far as HBK/Taker goes.....ugh. I was quite dissapointed. Give me HBK/Flair WM 24 over WM 25. That match was predictable and contrite. Shawn really had to carry Taker. |

Definetaly Michaels/Taker. But other options are Mysterio/Morrison, and Jericho/mysterio
