My Mattel Basic Series 1 Triple H arrived today and with the exception of his hair I love this figure. But the hair looks plastic and it doesn't blend with the head cleanly. I'm hoping it's an isolated incident with this one figure and the others the hair will be lined up/glued on better. His scale is slightly taller than an RA, but much leaner. As far as details go he has logos on the front & back of his trunks, elbow pads & boots plus they got his hand and finger tape right. He has 20 POA consisting of - ball-jointed head (although he has trouble looking down), ball-jointed shoulders, cut upper arms, elbow hinges, wrist cuts & hinges, waist cut, T-crotch hips, knee hinges, cut calves (Top of boots) ankle hinges. I can't wait until Jan 1 to pick up a few more figures. Great pics, looks really good. Think i'll wait and get the elite HHH after seeing the ringside fest pics. Would love however to get that HHH with the 1:1000 belt

I like the body better compared to a Jakks RA even though I plan on only buying the Elite Series......
The face is acceptable. However, the hair being some sort of mustard/diarrhea color sort of puts me off to the figure....unfortunatly this same hair color will apparently be on the Elite HBK and HHH figures as well according to the proto pics that were taken at Ringside-Fest.
Oh well....the poopy hair is not a deal breaker but I'm not thrilled.

I really like the figure, I wish they didn't give him that body though... Perfect body for Batista and Cena, not so much for Triple H... I still love the look of the entire figure though. May or may not buy this one, as my fixed up Jakks Triple H is a great figure IMO...

Thanks for the always great pictures PJ. Will you be painting the hair a different color?

Not on this one. Because the color isn't really bothering me as much as the hair not sitting right on the head.

Love the pics PJ, makes me even more excited to get these. Do the legs move up more than on an RA figure? I would imagine so since the t crotch looks longer, and the thighs arent the size of light bulbs.

Love the pics PJ, makes me even more excited to get these. Do the legs move up more than on an RA figure? I would imagine so since the t crotch looks longer, and the thighs arent the size of light bulbs. Thanks. There's not that much of a difference in the range of motion. The Mattel figure seems like it might have a slightly larger range but not enough to make a major difference.

Are the leg/hip joint like the DCUC figs or do they just go forward and backward?

Nice buy PJ but I still think that Triple H looks terrible compared to JAKKS Triple H's. So how did you manage to score one before there release, ebay?

Are the leg/hip joint like the DCUC figs or do they just go forward and backward? Nope. They are just your basic T-Crotch (Forward/backwards) The Elite have the outward/sideways motion as well. Nice buy PJ but I still think that Triple H looks terrible compared to JAKKS Triple H's. So how did you manage to score one before there release, ebay? I think with the exception of the hair it blows Jakks out of the water. I traded with RoOsta for it. Of course we both thought it got lost in the mail because we had mailed out our figures in early Nov and he received his within a week to ten days yet the Triple H didn't arrive until yesterday. Which was about a week to week 1/2 later than everyone else who he had traded with and at least two weeks after he had received my package. I had given up on it and had paid registered shipping for a new one on Friday when it arrived yesterday. Its on a ball joint? ;D how does it look with a head swap on a ra HHH. Or is that possible? Or are you not willing too try? I'm not sure, but it has ball-jointed range of motion. That said a TTL or RA head would be too large and out of scale for the lean Mattel bodies. Scale wise I think the R3 or first Havock Unleashed (the one I have pictured above) scan would work nicely, but the skintones between Jakks & Mattel were so different I decided to not bother.
