So Batman will be wearing an old costume in "Batman Inc."

I'm indifferent toward the yellow oval returning. I don't prefer it but I don't dislike it. The suit looks weird without the trunks and the belt is redundant, one bat symbol is enough. It reminds me of Arkham Asylum's suit though, with the lines down the torso and legs. It's alright, but I prefer Dick's.

701 takes place between RIP and Final Crisis. As does 702.

It's the untold tale of Bruce Wayne and his adventures between Final Crisis and Batman R.I.P.

Dick is currently in a very, very bad predicament in Batman and Robin.

Dick is currently in a very, very bad predicament in Batman and Robin. Not again. Dont tell me DC is going to flirt with killing off Dick. Ugh. Guess I'll have to KILL OFF my subscription to Batman.

He's gonna be Batman for a while, along with Bruce.

I don't think they're going to kill Dick off, I mean they've already said that there will be 2 Batmen which is the reason for books like Batman Inc.
But then again it's Morrison so anything could happen.

Showstopper, if you're a Grayson fan, you should be reading Batman and Robin. It's the main bat-book.

They change the artist each arc which is usually around 3 issues, like the last three issues it was Andy Clarke, and now for the next three it is going to be Fraizer Iriving.
And I didn't know it was possible to hate Damian since his character is so amazing.

I dont think I ever hated a comic hero so much like do with this guy. And I did NOT like Todd. But he makes Todd into a favorite compared to Damien.

To be fair, unless you've been reading Batman and Robin, you really don't know his character.

To be fair, unless you've been reading Batman and Robin, you really don't know his character. Why is it I have to read that series to understand him? Maybe, b/c of the way he is written there, you like him. But I read Batman and the way he is written there is that of a spoiled little brat. Do you read Batman? If so, do you agree with that assessment?

Batman and Robin is where just about all of his character development is, and it's written by the person who created him.
As for Batman, well, he's barely in it. But the scene's he has been in lately, I don't think he's been portrayed as the spoiled brat. Sure, he can be a little mouthy still, but that comes with the territory since he is 10.
In Batman and Robin, he has really grown into his role and cares about what he's doing as a hero, and gets pretty upset when he realizes that with his father coming back, he may not be Robin with Dick anymore. There's other stuff but I wouldn't want to spoil it.
Also, in Red Robin, he is very hurt over the fact that Tim still doesn't trust him. He's completely evolved as a character.

I dont read all the Bat titles. I just dont....as I am more interested in the devlopment of Dick's version of Batman than reading about Damien or Tim or Bruce for that matter. I find the Bruce story to be horrible. The whole idea is not just so off the wall.....but its so lacking in creativity. I've always liked Tim Drake as Robin. But this Red Robin thing sounded awful. His costume looks nothing short of a cheap rip off of Space Ghost. So I wont read that. Azrael....dont EVEN get me started. Replacing Jean Paul with this cheap loser. Ugh. Not reading that either. I'll repickup Batman once this RIP thing is over and stops interrupting the actual series.

Dick's development is in Batman and Robin, he is the most prominent character. It's the main title, everything that matters happens in that book, including his tenure as Batman. Everything else is barely a side plot.
Red Robin is the best thing to happen to Tim. It's been 15 issues of excellent writing for his character. And Return of Bruce Wayne is crazy good.
To each his own, but you're missing the best stories going on in the bat-verse based on preconceptions.

To each his own, but you're missing the best stories going on in the bat-verse based on preconceptions. But they arent preconceptions. First off......changing artists every 3 issues or whatever is annoying. The art is important to me.....just as the story is. Its a comic....if the art is horrid and the story is excellent....I dont want to read it. You say that Batman and Robin is the main book. For 700+ issues, Batman has been the main book. BR might be your taste, but I havent needed it 1 bit to follow Batman up until issue 701 came out. I love the writing and the art in Batman. Return of Bruce was something I most definitely wanted to read, until I read DC's plans with bringing him back. I frowned and said there was NO WAY I am reading that. I'll take your word that Red Robin is a good book. However, I dont like where Drake has gone. I dont like the idea behind it....not since the first time I was reading about it in Battle For The Cowl. I dont want to read a book that might be just great and the art is good, but I dont like the main character's direction. Here's an example of my tastes. Love Green Latern. Was a long time reader till Kyle Rayner came around and returned for the long haul when Jordan was put back where he belonged. I love it. I loved Blackest Night like most everyone. And I was psyched for Brightest Day. It had a fantastic plan for a follow up. Then I read the first 2 issues and quickly found myself disenfranchised to the whole idea. I ended up dropping it and selling my issues off on ebay. Ugh. Wasted money. Horrible, horrible, horrible story. The idea is good. The execution is bad.
