-Big Show's promo was good but I'm praying Cena reclaims at No Way Out. -Kofi put up a valiant effort but I was sure Show would win. I love Cena knocking Show out of the ring. -Orton beating Masters is an expected. -Santino losing to Sheamus was expected to since you've got Sheamus on his push now. -Hart Dynasty retaining the Unified Tag Team Gold was the right call since they just got it. Hope their reign is a while. -Great main event. To be honest, it sucks to see HHH in the Elimination Chamber. You didn't do anything wrong it's just like everytime HHH is in the Elimination Chamber, he wins. Please don't let him win it. Cena's the best option.

2nd February 2010WWE Superstars Taped Match William Regal Defeated A LocalNothing really notable about this match, just a way to try and put Regal over. It got the job done, as Regal picked up the win following the Knee Trembler. Paul Heyman hits the ring first, as the new general manager of ECW gets a massive reaction from the fans. Heyman is handed a microphone and he begins speaking about how last week Vince McMahon made the smart decision and brought him back. Heyman says that in the past few years ECW has been mutilated and watered down because WWE were too scared to let it loose but that it will no longer be an issue, because now that he is back, so is the true spirit of ECW! Paul Heyman declares that his first action as ECW general manager is to eject Josh Matthews and reinstall the true voice of extreme to his rightful place at the commentary table – Joey Styles! Josh Matthews is escorted backstage by security, clearly shocked and angered at his treatment, while Joey Styles walks to the announce table, getting a solid reaction from the crowd. Paul Heyman promises plenty of action tonight before walking backstage, allowing the new announce team of Joey Styles and Byron Saxton to call the action. Trent Baretta W/ Caylen Croft Defeated Yoshi TatsuThe opening match of the Paul Heyman era pitted two of ECW’s rising stars against each other in singles action. Tatsu started out strong, using his vicious kicks to keep Baretta off balance and unable to fight back. Baretta fought back, showing more spirit that we have seen from the young star throughout his tenure in ECW. It was clear that people were expecting a Tatsu win, which was why it was so shocking when a distraction from Baretta’s partner Caylen Croft allowed Baretta to connect with a Tornado DDT and get the surprise three count. Following the match The Dudebusters begin celebrating Baretta’s win when suddenly Paul Burchill makes his way to the ring, slowly followed by Katie Lea. The Dudebusters make a swift exit while Paul Burchill enters the ring and waits for Tatsu to get to his feet. Urged on by Katie Lea Paul Burchill nails a half kneeling Tatsu with a big running boot, following by a big Dangerous Buster. Katie Lea exits the ring and re-enters holding a steel chair. She folds it up and places it under the head of Tatsu. Burchill doesn’t show any emotion as he grabs the back of Tatsu’s head and proceeds to deliver a sickening Curb Stomp right onto the steel chair, which completely silences the crowd. Security and medics rush the ring and check on Yoshi Tatsu while Paul Burchill and Katie Lea walk backstage, a sick grin on the face of Katie Lea while Paul Burchill just stares at the broken body of Yoshi Tatsu, showing no emotion on his face. ECW cuts to commercials with the camera’s focused on the sight of Yoshi Tatsu being put on a stretcher. ECW cuts backstage where Rob Van Dam is shown entering the arena, getting a pretty big pop in the process. RVD walks towards the locker room area when he is stopped by Tommy Dreamer. The two shake hands and Van Dam tells Dreamer that it’s good to see him again, and that it’s just like the old days again with the two of them making everyone aware of what extreme really means. Dreamer tells Van Dam it would be like the old days if it wasn’t for all of the idiotic fans they perform to nowadays and the pathetic excuse of what Vince McMahon calls talent. Van Dam is a little taken aback by Dreamer’s apparent change of character and tells him that he’ll see him around before walking off. Dreamer watches him, stating “Yeah, you will.” As ECW returns to ringside. Ezekial Jackson Defeated Zack RyderZack Ryder came into this match looking for revenge on Jackson, who defeated both Ryder and Tommy Dreamer last week on ECW. Ryder was acting cocky as the match begun but when he charged at Jackson he was thrown backwards which completely changed his demeanour. The two had a bit of back and forth action at the start with Ryder focusing on the knees of Ezekial Jackson but in the end we saw the expected result as Jackson nailed Ryder with the Book of Ezekial to garner yet another victory. Jackson celebrates the victory while Ryder retreats up the ramp nursing his words as we fade to a video package. A video package airs promoting the No Way Out pay per view which airs on the 21st of February. It focuses on the big Inter-Brand Elimination Chamber match, with the winner gaining a World Championship match at WrestleMania 26. Following a commercial break Christian makes his way to the ring, the ECW Championship which he retained at the Royal Rumble over his shoulder, getting a good pop from the crowd. Christian talks about how last night he defended the ECW Championship against two of ECW’s toughest stars, Shelton Benjamin and Vance Archer, but that he came out on top in the end. Christian explains that he plans to hold onto the ECW Championship for a long time to come, but is then interrupted by the familiar music of Rob Van Dam, who gets a huge pop. Van Dam tells Christian that now that he’s back on ECW, he intends to pick up where he left off and win the ECW Championship once again. He tells Christian that after he beats Shelton Benjamin next, he’ll come for Christian. Christian tells Van Dam that he can try all he likes, but that he doesn’t intend to lose the ECW Championship. Christian exits the ring and joins the announce team while the music of Shelton Benjamin hits, the main event taking place right now. Rob Van Dam Defeated Shelton BenjaminTonight’s main event saw Rob Van Dam’s first match on ECW since returning at the Royal Rumble this past Sunday. Van Dam came into this match needing to prove that he still belongs in the main event scene while Benjamin was looking to gain back some of the momentum he lost at the Royal Rumble. Both men seemed evenly matched as we started out, unloading with a lot of their lighter offence in order to feel their opponent out. Van Dam looked the more impressive off the two as he soon took control with a combination of quick grapples and buzzsaw like kicks which Benjamin just couldn’t contain. While Shelton had his chances to fight back and even moments where he came close to winning this match belonged to Rob Van Dam, who connected with the Five Star Frog Splash for the pinfall in his first singles match back. This week’s ECW comes to an end with Rob Van Dam celebrating his big return victory over Shelton Benjamin, while signalling to Christian that he intends to challenge for the ECW Championship very soon. Christian stands up at the announce table and shouts to Van Dam that if he wants a shot all he has to do is ask. ECW fades to black with the cameras focused on Christian holding onto the ECW Championship.

Sucks to see Gregory Helms get cut, you could have done some great things with him. Love seeing Paul Heyman back, and I like how you brought Joey Styles back as the commentator. It's not unrealistic, purely because Styles is still under a WWE contract. Styles and Saxton actually sounds like a great announcing team. Would have liked to see Yoshi get a win over Barretta, then followed by The Dudebusters attacking Yoshi or Paul jumping Yoshi from behind. Either way would have been fine, but I'm looking forward to a Burchill/Yoshi feud. I know you're a big Burchill fan, so I wasn't surprised in the slightest when I read that he attacked Yoshi. Possible Tommy Dreamer heel turn? That's different, and I like it. I'm all for an Ezekiel Jackson push, yet I would also love to see Zack Ryder get a solid push. Can see Ezekiel taking the belt from Christian sooner or later. Loving that RVD vs. Christian for the ECW Title is going to happen sooner or later. Torn on who I want to win, but I just know you will book their feud well. Solid main event, RVD was the right man to go over.

-Paul Heyman kicking off ECW is great. Styles back as commentator is nice too. Hope Mathews goes to interviewer or ring announcer. -Barreta beating Tatsu is fine. The attack was good. -Jackson beating Ryder was realistic. Hoping to see a Ryder push. -Solid promo. RVD vs. Christian sounds epic. -RVD beating Shelton is a good boost for RVD. Wonder if he'll win. But I wish you could stretch the feud to WrestleMania.

5th February 2010WWE Superstars Taped Match Kane Defeated Luke Gallows W/ SerenaThe feud between Kane and the Straight Edge Society seemed to come to an end on Superstars as the main event of the show saw Kane overcome Luke Gallows following a Chokeslam. Prior to the opening video package a highlight package from the Royal Rumble is shown, focusing mainly on Chris Jericho winning the World Heavyweight Championship and Edge returning to win the 2010 Royal Rumble match. The music of the new World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho hits to begin this week’s SmackDown as he makes his way to the ring complete with title and suit getting a lot of heat. Jericho grabs a microphone and starts talking about how good it feels to be the World Heavyweight Champion once again, and that it’s good to know that he’s done with The Undertaker. On this he is unexpectedly interrupted by SmackDown general manager Theodore Long. Jericho shouts that this is his time and that he’s only just started. Long tells Jericho that he runs SmackDown so all time is his time, and that he made a mistake when he says he’s done with The Undertaker. Long announces that Undertaker has demanded his rematch take place next week on SmackDown and that it has been granted. This infuriates Jericho and he tries to argue, but Long interrupts him once again, stating that his means a challenge needs to be found for No Way Out. Long announces that he has booked a Fatal Four Way match for tonight with the winner facing either Chris Jericho or The Undertaker at No Way Out. Long goes on to say the four competitors are the four wrestlers who impressed him the most in the Royal Rumble match – Batista, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk and John Morrison! The crowd erupt while Long walks backstage. The screen fades to black with the sight of World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho absolutely furious in the ring. Drew McIntyre Defeated Mark Henry‘The Chosen One’ Drew McIntyre was in action against the World’s Strongest Man to kick off the action side off this week’s edition of SmackDown. Drew was a little bit weary at the start of this match, intimidated by the pure size and strength of Mark Henry, and rightfully so as Henry came into this looking more dangerous than he has in years. Drew had to give it everything he had just to stay in the running of this match, working away at the knee of Mark Henry in an attempt to set up for the Future Shock, however Henry’s resilience was too much for McIntyre who resorted to dirty tactics, nailing Henry with a low blow which went unseen by the referee followed by the Future Shock for the pinfall. McIntyre didn’t stick around to celebrate, exiting the ring swiftly as SmackDown fades backstage. We cut to the office of General Manager Theodore Long where Dolph Ziggler is arguing with Long about not being involved in the fatal four way match tonight. He reminds Long that he is the Intercontinental Champion and that he was meant to be in action against John Morrison tonight. Long tells Ziggler that Morrison proved he deserves the chance after nearly going the distance in the Royal Rumble match. Ziggler is still complaining when Montel Vontavious Porter walks into the office, interrupting Ziggler and asking Long why he wants to see him. Long explains that despite the fatal four way tonight they still need to find the first competitor into the Inter-Brand Elimination Chamber match, and that is why tonight he has booked Montel Vontavious Porter against Dolph Ziggler with a spot in the Chamber on the line. This pleases MVP and seems to appease Ziggler who gets in Porter’s face, warning him that it is his destiny to become both the World Champion and the Intercontinental Champion at the same time. Ziggler walks out as we cut to commercials. Carlito & Chavo Guerrero W/ Vickie Guerrero Defeated Matt Hardy & Eric EscobarWhile many people thought this would be a continuation of the Chavo Guerrero/ Eric Escobar feud it appears that this was in fact the start of a storyline between Chavo and Matt Hardy, as the focus was clearly on these two throughout this match. Chavo once again showed his new attitude in this match, showing a lot more focus that were used to seeing from him while Matt Hardy was the clear fan favourite in this match. Carlito and Escobar didn’t really serve much purpose here but at least Carlito put on a good showing, Escobar was less than impressive and his time on the SmackDown roster could be limited. While the match was very back and forth I’m sure many people were expecting Matt and Escobar to pick up the win, however it was a distraction from Vickie Guerrero that allowed Chavo to roll up Matt Hardy and get the surprising pinfall. Following the match Chavo quickly exits the ring and taunts Matt, shouting that he’s smarter than he’ll ever be. We cut backstage to the sight of John Morrison arriving at the arena, getting a big pop in the process. He walks straight into the path of CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society, who block his way. Punk tells Morrison not to get his hopes up about winning the fatal four way match tonight because the next world champion is going to be Straight Edge. Morrison laughs and reminds CM Punk that not only was he the last man eliminated in the Royal Rumble match on Sunday, but that he also eliminated CM Punk. Punk angrily tells Morrison that unless it’s a win it doesn’t count, and that just like at the Royal Rumble, tonight Morrison will be so close but still won’t get the job done. Serena laughs at this while Luke Gallows just stares at Punk as the Straight Edge Society back away, leaving Morrison to watch as SmackDown cuts to commercials. Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match Montel Vontavious Porter Defeated Dolph ZigglerSmackDown’s first Elimination Chamber qualifying match pitted two of the up and coming SmackDown superstars against each other in a match where a win would mean a big boost for either man. Both of these men have long been prospects of big pushes and while Ziggler seems to have just started his Montel Vontavious Porter’s seems to have fizzled out in recent months. Porter came into this as the crowd favourite and that seemed to be a big lift to him as he looked more impressive than he has in recent weeks, unloading some impressive offence on Ziggler who as always played the cocky heel role perfectly. With Porter in control during the opening half of this match Ziggler would soon resort to underhanded tactics to get back into this match, such as a low blow followed by a stiff DDT that almost gave Ziggler the win. Ziggler soon took control but it wouldn’t last long as Porter got back into the match, eventually connecting with the Drive-By Kick for the pinfall. Following the match Montel Vontavious Porter begins celebrating his win when Dolph Ziggler rushed him from behind, quickly nailing the Zig Zag. Ziggler, furious at having missed out on the chance to gain contention for a World title, continues his assault until R-Truth, who has had his own problems with Ziggler as of late, made the save, nailing Ziggler with the Lie Detector. Ziggler swiftly exits the ring while R-Truth checks on MVP. SmackDown cuts to commercials. SmackDown returns with the Women’s Champion Michelle McCool making her way to the ring, not scheduled to compete tonight. McCool is handed a microphone, and begins mocking Beth Phoenix, who has been after McCool’s Women’s Championship for weeks now. McCool talks about how before Beth can challenge for the title she should get a hormone test to check that she is actually a woman, because she certainly doesn’t look like one! McCool continues mocking Phoenix when the music of the Glamazon hits and Beth Phoenix starts making her way to the ring, looking furious. Before she can hit the ring however she is attacked from behind by Layla. Beth easily overpowers Layla but Michelle McCool quickly gets involved and the numbers game gets the better of Beth. McCool and Layla throw Beth into the ring where McCool locks in the Heel Hook, which is being called ‘Make A Diva Tap’, and tap the Glamazon does. McCool leaves the move locked in while Layla throws insults at Beth at face level. McCool releases the move but immediately after nailed Beth with the Faith Breaker. Michelle McCool and Layla raise each other’s arms over the unconscious body of Beth Phoenix as we fade to black. A video package airs promoting the No Way Out pay per view, which airs on the 21st of February. It focuses on the Inter-Brand Elimination Chamber. Chris Jericho Defeated FinlayThe World Heavyweight Champion was in action and after being interrupted in his address at the start of the show he was furious and determined to show exactly why he deserves the time by defeating Finlay. Finlay on the other hand is looking to get back into the running here on SmackDown having not been seen regularly in months. The match was pretty competitive with Finlay using his unorthodox offence to keep Jericho guessing and consistently off guard. Despite this Jericho displayed exactly why he is the World Heavyweight Champion, using every trick and move he could think off in order to put Finlay away, which he looked like doing a number of times. Finlay’s defining point of this match was when he managed to reverse the Walls of Jericho into an inside cradle, showing the technical wrestling skills that have made him such a threat in this business. Despite this Jericho would get the win, connecting with the Codebreaker for the pinfall victory. Following the match an exhausted Chris Jericho demands a microphone, and tells everyone that since he didn’t get his time earlier he’s taking it now. Before he even gets a chance to speak he is interrupted by the 2010 Royal Rumble winner, Edge. Jericho is once again furious at being interrupted but Edge tells him to calm down, because he’s talking to the man who could decide to take the World Heavyweight Championship away from him at WrestleMania. The two have a back and forth, with Jericho telling Edge that he knows his injury isn’t fully healed and that if he chooses to challenge him for the World Heavyweight Championship then it’d just be a wasted match for Edge. Edge tells Jericho that if he picks Jericho, he guarantees he will take the World Heavyweight Championship from him. Suddenly the lights flicker, going out for a few seconds before coming back on. Edge then says “If you still have the title” causing Jericho to turn around right into a Chokeslam from a waiting Undertaker! Undertaker does his signature pose with the World Heavyweight Championship as Edge grins as we fade to a commercial. Winner Challenges World Heavyweight Champion at No Way Out John Morrison Defeated CM Punk, Batista & Rey MysterioA fantastic main event which saw four of SmackDown’s top talents competing for a chance to challenge either Chris Jericho or The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship at No Way Out. Following his incredible performance at the Royal Rumble everyone was behind John Morrison tonight and he came into this looking stronger than ever, easily holding his own against three former world champions. Despite this it was anybody’s match as all four put in strong showings, determined to get the title shot at the last pay per view prior to WrestleMania 26. CM Punk had his Straight Edge Society at ringside to start the match and Gallows certainly made an impact early on, nailing Mysterio with a Big Boot right against the barricade that got Gallows and Serena banned from ringside by the referee. With Mysterio out Morrison and Punk seemed to form some kind of fragile team in an attempt to take out the powerful Batista, who had looked controlling throughout this match. They did exactly that as Morrison nailed Batista with the Flying Chuck followed by a GTS from CM Punk. This was the end of their teamwork as Punk scooped Morrison up for the GTS only for Morrison to reverse it into the Moonlight Drive to get the pinfall and the title shot! John Morrison celebrates his win, almost shocked when he comes to the realisation that he finally has his shot at becoming a World Champion. CM Punk slowly gets to his feet, shocked and furious at losing the match. This is nothing compared to Batista however, who goes completely mental on the outside of the ring, ripped apart the announce tables and throwing chairs and the steel steps around. He enters the ring and before Morrison or Punk can do anything about it they both receive ring rattling Spinebusters. Batista demands a microphone and shouts that he deserves his world title shot, and that next week he will make sure he gets it. Batista then delivers another spinebuster, this time to the defenceless referee, as SmackDown comes to an end with the camera focused on the destruction in the ring.

WWE News & Notes- As announced on RAW the winner of the Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out will challenge whichever World Champion that Edge does not challenge. It is planned for Edge to challenge Chris Jericho at WrestleMania but as always plans can change at any time. - Several developmental workers are expected to be called up to the main roster in the next few weeks. They are expected to make their debuts as part of the ECW brand as part of a storyline involving Paul Heyman. It is currently unknown who the call ups will be, although some names being thrown around include Alex Riley, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver and the Uso’s. - Many are wondering where Sheamus’s feud leaves him in turns of alignment. The WWE creative team are currently writing him as a tweener, somebody who can be involved with feuds with both faces and heels. One inside source states that Sheamus is likely to be involved in a feud with a heel leading into WrestleMania 26. - As many have noted it was originally scheduled to be Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison for the Intercontinental Championship this past Friday on SmackDown, however this match never took place with John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler both taking part in separate matches. The main reason for this was to ensure that there was time to set up the World Heavyweight Championship match at No Way Out since WWE only had three weeks between the Royal Rumble and No Way Out pay per views. - In a follow up to our report on WWE signing Tyler Black and Lizzy Valentine the pair made their debuts down in Florida Championship Wrestling at the last show. Following a match which saw Justin Gabriel defend the Florida Heavyweight Championship against Alex Riley he was jumped by the pair and laid out by what Tyler Black’s fans will know as the Paroxysm. According to live fan reports Tyler Black was using the name Tyler Brave while Lizzy Valentine was called Miss Valentine.

SmackDown, wow, a huge Main Event for tonight, I look forward to it. Good to see Drew McIntyre over Mark Henry, keeps him strong. I see MVP defeating Ziggler, hopefully. Very glad Chavo and Carlito won, despite Matt Hardy been on the other team, Eric Escobar should never win... ever. As expected, MVP defeats Dolph Ziggler. R-Truth coming out is good, and it seems that he will face Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship soon. Obvious victory for Chris Jericho, keeps him relevant on this episode of SmackDown. Loved the segment with Jericho, Edge and The Undertaker. I was kind of expecting John Morrison here because he seemed like the odd one out in the match, but I'm extremely pleased he won. Overall a good SmackDown.

-Great kickoff to SmackDown. I like Jericho thinking he's done with Taker but he wasn't. Taker/Jericho sounds great for next week. Looking forward to the 4 Way tonight. -Good win for McIntyre over Henry. -M.V.P beating Ziggler is great. Love to see the young guns in the Elimination Chamber. Hope to see more. -Not big on Chavo/Carlito beating Hardy and Escobar. Really hope you give Matt Hardy is good push or some big involvement. -Jericho beating Finlay was good as it shows he's a major champ. -Jericho thinking he's the best is predictable as he is one of the best. Edge and Taker's involvement should be interesting. -Morrison winning Fatal Four Way was sweet. Morrison/Jericho should be interesting. Very glad you saved the Elimination Chamber qualifiers for next week as now the three Fatal Four losers and Taker have a chance. -Good SmackDown

8th February 2010WWE Superstars Taped Match The Hart Dynasty Defeated The DudebustersThe Unified Tag Team Champions made a trip to Superstars this week to clash with ECW’s Dudebusters in a close tag team match which saw David Hart Smith nail Caylen Croft with a Running Powerslam for the victory. The theme of John Cena hits, getting a big pop from the crowd. The former WWE Champion hits the ring and is handed a microphone. He states that at the Royal Rumble Big Show defeated him fair and square, but that it doesn’t mean things are over between the two of them. Cena reminds everybody that he has a rematch clause in his contract, and that he wants to call it in at No Way Out. The music of the Big Show hits as the WWE Champion walks out onto the ramp. Big Show tells Cena that if he wants another shot then he can have it, but that it is just going to result in Cena getting knocked out once again. The two go back and forth before being interrupted by RAW general manager Bret Hart. Bret tells the two that he is happy to sign their match for No Way Out, but that he doesn’t want anything getting in the way of finding out who truly deserves the title, and so makes it a Street Fight! Bret waits for the crowd to die down following the announcement and goes on to announce tonight’s main event of Big Show and The Miz taking on John Cena and Sheamus! The crowd pop loudly once against as Bret walks backstage, leaving Big Show and John Cena to stare each other down as we cut to commercials. Kofi Kingston Defeated Mike KnoxLast week Kofi Kingston was unable to come out on top against the WWE Champion Big Show so tonight he was looking to gain back some of the momentum he lost there but he couldn’t have picked a more difficult opponent to do that against and Knox was looking to build some momentum of his own here. Kingston’s vicious kicks allowed him to use a pretty effective hit and run tactic over the much stronger Knox. Knox got in plenty of his own offence as the match continued, showing that he can indeed be a solid midcard threat, but tonight wasn’t his night as Kingston dodged a bicycle kick, springboarded to the top turnbuckle before jumping behind Knox and nailing the Trouble in Paradise as he turned around in a stunning display to get the victory. Following the match Kingston celebrates the victory, getting a solid reaction from the crowd, as we fade to backstage. We cut backstage where Cody Rhodes is shown talking to RAW general manager Bret Hart. Rhodes tells Hart that he feels underappreciated here on RAW, not only by Legacy teammates Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase but by Bret and the fans as well. Bret listens to Rhodes and tells him that he couldn’t agree more, which surprises Rhodes, and that that is why he has booked Rhodes in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying match later tonight. Rhodes is ecstatic, thanking Hart and asking who his opponent will be. Hart tells Rhodes that it doesn’t matter, and that if he deserves to be in the Elimination Chamber then he will win no matter the opponent. Rhodes nods and guarantees victory later tonight before walking out of the office. Bret grins as we cut to commercials. The United States Champion The Miz is shown standing by with new RAW backstage interviewer Jamie Keyes. Keyes asks Miz if he is worried about Sheamus, who has been targeting Miz for weeks now. Miz takes a few moments to flirt with Keyes, who clearly enjoys the attention, before going on to answer her question. Miz says that he isn’t scared of anybody, because he is the “Chick Magnet, The Miz.” Miz goes on to say that Sheamus can try and get his hands on him all he wants, because he refuses to put the United States Championship on the line against a savage like Sheamus. Miz jokes that he wouldn’t even understand Sheamus if he asked for a match because of his accent. Miz grins at Keyes and hands her a piece of paper with his phone number on, telling her to call him because he’s The Miz, and he’s awesome! Melina Defeated JillianMelina is two weeks removed from losing her Diva’s Championship to Maryse and following last week where she saved Kelly Kelly from Maryse she was looking to send a message here. This match wasn’t exactly competitive as Melina was clearly the favourite to win, nailing pretty much every move in her arsenal in what was nothing more than a showcase match for the former Diva’s Champion. Melina picked up the win following the Last Call, while Jillian doesn’t look long for the WWE. Following the match Melina is attacked from behind by Maryse, who nails Melina with the French TKO and screams at her not to get involved with her business. Maryse leaves, grinning, as we fade to the locker room area. Shawn Michaels is shown in the locker room, getting ready for his match later tonight. He’s not showing much emotion, and it’s obvious he’s still angry about losing his chance at getting into the Elimination Chamber last week. His Degeneration X partner Triple H walks into the room and tries to talk to Shawn, stating that Michaels hasn’t been returning his calls all week. Michaels tells Triple H that he hasn’t returned his calls for a reason, and that’s because he doesn’t want to speak to Triple H, before asking him to leave. Triple H asks Michaels what’s wrong and Michaels shouts that Triple H cost him his shot at getting a World Championship match at WrestleMania, and that Bret Hart was right when he said that if Shawn keeps pandering to everyone else then he’ll never get anywhere. Michaels pushes Triple H out of his locker room and slams the door in his face with the cameraman on the outside as well. Triple H looks confused before shaking his head and walking off. David Otunga W/ Abraham Washington Defeated PrimoThe in ring debut of David Otunga was certainly nothing to be overlooked as he looked very impressive here, dwarfing his opponent in terms of weight and size. Primo barely got any offence in as Otunga completely dominated him with vicious forearms and elbows to start with, before unleashing some forceful grapples, including a belly to belly suplex that seemed to knock Primo out. Otunga wasn’t finished there however, as he picked Primo up and nailed him with a vicious looking Spinebuster that Michael Cole mentioned was called The Verdict to get the pinfall. Washington enters the ring and raises Otunga’s arm in victory, shouting that Otunga is the next big thing as RAW cuts to commercials We return from commercials to the sight of Randy Orton arguing with Cody Rhodes, who is clearly preparing for his Elimination Chamber match later tonight. Orton asks Rhodes what the hell happened to Ted DiBiase last week, arguing that Rhodes said he hadn’t seen him yet they wrestled later in the night against the Hart Dynasty. Rhodes tells Orton that DiBiase showed up for the match and afterwards he left without even saying anything to him. Randy tells Rhodes that if he doesn’t get DiBiase here by next week then he’ll have to teach Rhodes a little lesson in respect. Orton walks off leaving a frustrated Rhodes to prepare for his match. Shawn Michaels vs. Jack Swagger Went to a Double Count OutThe fans clearly weren’t happy with Shawn Michaels new attitude as he entered this match looking focused and completely ignoring the fans. Jack Swagger on the other hand taunted the fans as he made his way to the ring, getting a lot of heat. Michaels focus was clear as the match started, as he tackled Swagger to the ground and unloaded with left and rights. Throughout the match Michaels new focus came out as he showed no interest in what the fans thought, doing whatever was needed to get the upper hand. Swagger however got plenty of offence in, showing he can hang with the big stars of the WWE, nearly getting the win on a few occasions, and showing a number of new submission moves that we haven’t seen him utilise before. One of these submission moves led to the end of the match as Swagger caught Michaels leg when he went for a surprise superkick and attempted to lock in the ankle lock only for Michaels to roll through before he could and send Swagger straight out of the ring. Swagger clearly had had enough and began walking up the ramp only for Michaels to jump out of the ring and sprint up the ramp, attacking Swagger. The two brawled as the referee counted to ten. Michaels clearly realised what had happened and nailed Swagger with a vicious superkick before walking backstage without even looking at the fans. Following a commercial break we return to see Sheamus arguing with RAW’s General Manager Bret Hart. Sheamus is demanding a match with The Miz for the United States Championship at No Way Out, stating that he wants to kick the smug grin straight off of The Miz’s face. Bret says that Sheamus already had a title shot and as such he can’t just grant him another one. Bret goes on to say that despite that he will give Sheamus a chance at getting another match with The Miz by booking him in a fatal four way match next week against Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and Mike Knox with the winner facing The Miz at No Way Out for the United States Championship. Sheamus nods and tells Bret Hart that next week he’ll kick somebody’s head off the become number one contender, and then he’ll do the exact same thing to The Miz. Cody Rhodes hits the ring first ready for his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match with no idea who his opponent is going to be. He is shocked when the music of Ted DiBiase hits and Rhodes own Legacy partner is announced as his opponent for tonight. Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match Ted DiBiase Defeated Cody RhodesRhodes tried to reason with DiBiase, asking him why he agreed to this match but DiBiase just grinned and shouted at Rhodes that he did it because he wants to be World Champion and with that nailed Rhodes with a right hand to really get the match under way. Both men looked impressive throughout, showing exactly why these men are the future of this company. The two looked pretty even in the opening half of this match as they clearly know each other inside out, countering each other’s moves and knowing what the other would do seemingly before they did. As the match went on it became apparent that DiBiase was favourite amongst the fans and this seemed to push his forward as he slowly took control of the match. The ending stretch saw a number of near falls and this match looked like it could have gone either way, but in the end DiBiase managed to counter the Cross-Rhodes and connected with the Dream Street to pick up the win to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Following the match Ted DiBiase offers Cody Rhodes a hand up which Rhodes takes and the two shake hands. Suddenly Randy Orton sprints down to the ring causing Ted DiBiase to swiftly exit on the other side. Orton screams at DiBiase to get back into the ring but DiBiase shakes his head and walks backstage, sharing a staredown with Randy Orton while Rhodes stands in the background, frustrated by recent events as we cut to commercials. As we return from commercials Ted DiBiase is shown walking through the hallways on his way to the car park. Jamie Keyes tries to stop him for a few words on what is going on between him and Randy Orton but DiBiase refuses, telling her she’ll know at the same time Randy Orton finds out before walking off. A video package plays promoting the No Way Out pay per view, which airs on the 21st of February. It focuses on the recently announced Street Fight between John Cena and Big Show for the WWE Championship. John Cena & Sheamus Defeated Big Show & The MizIt was a battle that featured a champion on each side as these four squared off. With the history between John Cena and Sheamus it wasn’t surprising to see Cena a little put off coming into this match but Sheamus seemed focused on The Miz and didn’t care about Cena. Big Show thought he was going to be the dominant man in this match but he found himself starting the match against Sheamus and finding that Sheamus was more than enough of a match for him. Cena and Sheamus worked well as a team and the Miz’s reluctance to get in the ring with Sheamus meant that Big Show had to work a lot of this match solo. Big Show did this well and was made to look pretty strong but even he has his limits as he grabbed Miz by the throat and threw him into the ring, with the referee counting it as a tag. Miz managed to hold his own against Cena but then Sheamus blind tagged himself in without The Miz noticing and nailed the Miz with a Pump Kick as he turned around. Sheamus made the pinfall as Cena knocked Big Show off of the apron. Big Show is furious at losing the match but he decides against getting in the ring with John Cena and Sheamus, instead grabbing his WWE Championship and storming up the ramp. The Miz slowly got to his feet only to be met by another Pump Kick for Sheamus. RAW comes to an end with John Cena and Sheamus standing in the ring sharing a tense handshake while the Big Show watches on, making his way up the ramp.

-Show/Cena in a Street Fight at No Way Out sounds pretty good, hope Show isn't Champion heading into Mania though -Kofi over Knox is an okay opener -Rhodes in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match is awesome -Surprised at the Miz/Sheamus stuff since both are heels -Melina over Jillian was obvious, and the Melina/Maryse stuff is pretty good -HBK heel turn? -Bringing in Otunga with Abraham Washington is a genius pairing, but I'm not big on Otunga -HBK/Swagger is a dream match for me, and I like Michaels' new attitude, it makes for interesting stuff -Next week's Fatal Four Way match sounds good -Ted Dibiase qualifying is good, wish Rhodes would've qualified as well though. Like the dissension between Legacy -Sheamus pinning The Miz is good as it leaves Show/Cena untouched for a while
Good Raw, nothing special. I like some of the things you're doing like the Legacy problems and the HBK stuff, but I dislike certain things like Show as Champion, and the Sheamus/Miz feud

WWE RAW: Monday 8th February 2010...Haven't kept up with RAW since I last reviewed which was Royal Rumble I believe. The Hart Dynasty have gone downhill since feuding with DX (if I recall, it was this diary), but good win for Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith against The Dudebusters. I guess it wasn't this diary, my bad. Solid opening promo with John Cena in the ring propelling things for No Way Out. Bret Hart as General Manager sure is interesting, as is Cena teaming with old rival, Sheamus to face ShoMiz. Kofi Kingston beating Mike Knox is alright; Knox is doing nothing of note anymore, as far as I'm concerned. Melina beating Jillian is fine, but nothing that noteworthy other than occurences with WWE Divas Champion, Maryse. David Otunga debuting could have used some vignettes prior, but good win for Otunga against Primo. I suggest turning Primo heel, as he seems refreshened in real life as a heel; WWE just decide against him having a chance. Solid first-hour main event attempt by Jack Swagger against Shawn Michaels, but best for Shawn to pick up the win here. Sheamus wanting a shot at the WWE United Sattes Championship? That is pretty odd, if I'm honest. Ted Dibiase beating Cody Rhodes...I hope that Rhodes ends up with a push. Rhodes is physically, charismatically and more skilled than Dibiase, but it's acceptable for Dibiase to win here. And lastly, decent tag team main event win for Cena and Sheamus against ShoMiz. A good show, and I'm interested in the road to No Way Out, as opposed to WrestleMania XXVI.

9th February 2010WWE Superstars Taped Match Vance Archer Defeated JTG W/ ShadAnother interbrand match on this week’s Superstars saw Vance Archer dominate JTG and even take out Shad with a vicious Big Boot. Archer finished the match with the Blackout, sending a warning to the rest of the roster in the process. The show kicks off with General Manager Paul Heyman standing front and centre in the ring. Heyman talks about how last week’s ECW was one of the highest rated of the past six months and that is because of him. He pledges that ECW once again stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling and not Extremely Crappy Wrestling, which gets a nice pop. He goes on to announce that at No Way Out Christian will defend the ECW Championship against none other than Rob Van Dam, and that the two will have to work together tonight as they face William Regal and Vladamir Kozlov in the main event. The crowd pop loudly for Heyman’s announcement as he shouts that the land of extreme is only just reawakening and that there is plenty more to come. A video package airs promoting the No Way Out Pay Per View which airs on the 21st of February, focusing heavily on the Elimination Chamber Match. Paul Burchill W/ Katie Lea Defeated A LocalThere wasn’t anything special about this match, it was just a way to put Paul Burchill over while Joey Styles and Byron Saxton talk about how Paul Burchill destroyed Yoshi Tatsu last week. Burchill didn’t let up again here, completely tearing apart this young local wrestler, eventually putting him away with the same Curb Stomp that took out Yoshi Tatsu last week. Following the match Katie Lea grabs a microphone and enters the ring beside Paul Burchill. Katie Lea states that last week Yoshi Tatsu realised exactly why you don’t mess with The Ripper, because when you do your career comes to an end. Burchill takes the microphone and says that last week he ended the career of some young punk who thought he could step in the same ring as Paul Burchill. Burchill says that he is The Ripper and that when you step in the ring with him you don’t step out again. To make the point clear Burchill grabs a steel chair and just like last week delivers a brutal Curb Stomp onto the local wrestler, sending their skull crushing into the Steel Chair. Medical personnel and backstage workers rush out to check on this poor local wrestler while Paul Burchill and Katie Lea just watch on, Katie Lea smirking and Burchill looking cold and emotionless. ECW fades to commercials on this harrowing sight. ECW returns to the sight of Tommy Dreamer standing by with Josh Matthews, who has returned to backstage duties after being relieved of announce duties last week. Matthews asks Dreamer about why he has turned his back on his friends and even the fans. Dreamer states that ever since ECW came back he was happier than he has been since he was wrestling in the original but that he has realised the truth in the past weeks – that the current fans aren’t worth his time because they don’t want him to go to the extreme, they just want to see some young punks jumping about the ring putting on pointless matches with no entertainment. Dreamer pledges to show everybody exactly what extreme means because his match next is Extreme Rules! Extreme Rules Match Tommy Dreamer Defeated GoldustAs this match kicked off it was obvious that it favoured Dreamer over Goldust, and man did it show throughout. While Goldust got plenty of his own offence in early on, and even nearly stole the win a few times, as the match continued and more and more weapons came into play Tommy Dreamer just took control and it was for one simple reason, no matter how much punishment Dreamer took he just kept going. Goldust nailed Dreamer with trash can lids, a crutch and even a stop sign but even after he was split open Dreamer just kept going. Dreamer used everything he could get his hands on to cause punishment but by far the most devastating was the Kendo Stick, which Dreamer wielded with vicious precision, completely tearing into Goldust and splitting the Kendo Stick in two on Goldust’s skull. Dreamer followed this assault up with a Dreamer Driver on the outside of the ring before rolling Goldust into the ring and getting the pinfall. Following the match Tommy Dreamer refused to let up, continuing his assault on Goldust by grabbing a trash can and slamming it into the back of Goldust. Tommy Dreamer then placed the trash can over the top half of Goldust before slamming a steel chair straight into it. Before too much more damage can be done Shelton Benjamin runs to the ring, running Tommy Dreamer off. Benjamin checks on an unconscious Goldust while a bleeding Dreamer grins sickly as he walks backstage. We cut to Paul Heyman’s office where Heyman is watching the actions of Tommy Dreamer, grinning and saying that that is exactly what ECW is all about. A tall man walks through the door wearing what appears to be an expensive suit. Heyman thanks him for coming in to sign his contract personally, telling him that he is going to be the ‘guiding light of ECW’. The man tells Paul that he is grateful that he found him and pulled him out of the bare knuckle boxing circuit over in Manchester, England. Heyman says it was his pleasure before getting the man to sign the contract. He welcomes him officially to the ECW roster, calling him by his name – Wade Barrett. Heyman and Barrett sit down to watch tonight’s main event, talking about Heyman’s plans for Barrett here in ECW as we cut to commercials. Christian & Rob Van Dam Defeated William Regal & Vladamir KozlovTonight’s main event was booked specifically to showcase the talents of the two men who will compete for the ECW Championship at No Way Out, and showcase they did with both Christian and Rob Van Dam putting in solid displays. The big question was of course whether Christian and Rob Van Dam could work together here tonight, and while everybody was waiting for one of them to turn on the other it never came as they worked together as a team well, displaying the teamwork that has earned both men multiple tag titles. William Regal & Vladamir Kozlov tried their best and proved to be tough opponents for the two biggest names on ECW right now but it just wasn’t their night, as Christian nailed Regal with an Unprettier followed by a Five Star Frog Splash by Van Dam to get the victory. Following the match everyone is wondering whether Christian or Rob Van Dam are going to turn on their partner and No Way Out opponent but once again nothing comes of it as after a slightly tense staredown the pair shook hands and celebrated their victory as ECW goes off the air.

12th February 2010WWE Superstars Taped Match Carlito Defeated Eric EscobarEscobar doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere on SmackDown as he found himself with another loss on his record, this time coming off of the wrong side of a Backstabber courtesy of Carlito The music of Batista hits following the usual show rundown as the Animal makes his way to the ring. On his way to the ring we are shown a replay of last week where Batista demolished everyone and everything in sight after he failed to win the Number One Contenders match. Batista grabs a microphone from the time keeper and begins talking about his attack last week, stating that he did what he did to send a message to everybody in a position of power, that if he doesn’t get what he wants then the attacks will keep coming. Batista goes on to say that he is here for the big money and that the big money is in the main event of WrestleMania and that the only way he is guaranteed to get involved in that match is by taking what he deserves – Edge’s guaranteed title shot. Batista goes on to note that he understands that Edge has already signed the contract and that he can’t break it, but that he can add to it. He goes on to challenge Edge to a match at No Way Out where if Batista wins then Edge’s title match at WrestleMania 26 becomes a triple threat match. Edge interrupts, telling Batista that he has always been the ultimate opportunist and that since he can’t get anything out of this deal it’s a no go. Edge tells Batista not to cry about it and makes a few jokes at his expense before walking backstage to a big pop while Batista throws the microphone on the floor, completely furious at Edge’s rejection of the challenge. Chavo Guerrero W/ Vickie Guerrero Defeated Matt HardySmackDown kicks off with action featuring the Mexican Warrior Chavo Guerrero going one on one with Matt Hardy. Following their tag team match last week Matt was looking to get one up on Chavo but Chavo wasn’t going to make it easy on him, attacking Matt as he entered the ring and taking the upper hand right from the ring bell. Matt soon fought back, refusing to lose because of a pre-emptive strike by the Mexican Warrior. Chavo once again displayed his new focus, taking Matt to the limits numerous times and matching him all the way through this match. Matt got in plenty of his own offence but with Vickie Guerrero at ringside he was clearly having to focus on two people at once. It was a distraction courtesy of Vickie that would give Chavo the win as he rolled up a distracted Matt Hardy and with the help of Matt’s tights got the victory. Chavo quickly exited the ring and made his way up the ramp with Vickie, having once again got one over a furious Matt Hardy. John Morrison is backstage, chilling out and chatting with the Bella twins. They’re talking about his World Heavyweight Championship match at No Way Out when Dolph Ziggler walks up to him, sarcastically congratulating him on the title match. Morrison asks Ziggler what he wants and Ziggler tells him that he should be the one challenging for the World title and that Morrison backed out on their match last week because he’s scared of him. Morrison tells Ziggler that chose to compete for a world title shot instead of facing Ziggler because he knows which one is worth his time, but that if Ziggler wants the match so bad they can go one on one tonight. Ziggler agrees, telling Morrison that after he beats him tonight he’ll be the one getting the world title shot. Dolph walks off while Morrison just shakes his head as SmackDown cuts to commercials. Luke Gallows & Serena Defeated Montel Vontavious Porter & MariaMixed tag team action up next as recent enemy of the Straight Edge Society Montel Vontavious Porter once again got a shot at the Society. This was Serena’s first time competing in a WWE sanctioned match and she did pretty well, showing considerable talent and I expect this to be the start of her in ring career here in WWE. The Straight Edge Society were made to look very strong in this match and there was a lot of talk about CM Punk’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match later tonight. Maria looked good in the ring and she probably got the best pop out of anybody involved in this match. MVP and Gallows were in the ring the longest with a lot of back and forth action between the two but one of the highlights of the match saw Maria on the outside and Serena shockingly going to the top turnbuckle and diving onto the outside, sending both her and Maria to the floor. MVP tried to check on Maria after this but Gallows used the distraction, connecting with the Gallows Pole to get the victory. Gallows exited the ring and helped Serena up as the two headed backstage, celebrating their victory. Edge is backstage talking with Rey Mysterio when ‘The Chosen One’ Drew McIntyre shows up. The three of them fall silent before McIntyre welcomes Edge back to SmackDown, stating that it will be a pleasure to beat on him. Both Edge and Mysterio laugh and Edge tells McIntyre that it’s good to meet Vince McMahon’s new protégé, telling him that anyone who aligns with McMahon is destined to fail and that from what he has seen so far he isn’t impressed. McIntyre gets in Edge’s face, telling him that he is the best talent here in the WWE. Edge asks McIntyre if he wants to prove that, and challenges him to face him in the ring later tonight. McIntyre quickly accepts, telling Edge that his return will be a short one. McIntyre storms off while Edge tells Mysterio that it looks like SmackDown has a new resident wackjob. SmackDown cuts to commercials. John Morrison Defeated Dolph ZigglerThis match was meant to take place last week for the Intercontinental Championship but due to Morrison’s number one contenders win last week it will now be non-title. These two have a lot of history and both really wanted to win this one, really taking the fight to each other. Morrison was the firm fan favourite and a lot of this match was building him up as a viable World Champion contender ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship match against either Chris Jericho or The Undertaker. The two really battled it out, both of them using very quick rapid fire moves early on before slowly working in some of their big impact moves. The crowd were of course behind John Morrison, and at one point there was a chant of ‘next World Champion’ which seemed to psyche up Morrison even more and he really started taking control. Ziggler tried fighting back and did in truth hold his own but it wasn’t enough as Morrison connected with the Flying Chuck and followed it up with the Starship Pain for the victory. Morrison celebrates the victory, the crowd going chanting his name as we cut to a commercial break. We return to the ring following the commercial break where Dolph Ziggler is still standing, now on his own. He’s holding a microphone and shouting about how he is sick of getting no respect from these fans and that as the Intercontinental Champion he deserves a lot more. He refuses to leave the ring until Theodore Long comes out and gives him what he deserves. It isn’t SmackDown’s general manager who’s music hits however, but R-Truth’s. The rapping superstar is originally nowhere to be seen but he quickly slides into the ring behind Ziggler and when Ziggler turns around he is levelled by the Lie Detector. Ziggler doesn’t even have time to react before R-Truth is on him, unloading with left and right hands. R-Truth finishes the assault off with the Scissors Kick, leaving Ziggler laid out in the centre of the ring. R-Truth holds up the Intercontinental Championship as we cut backstage. We join SmackDown general manager Theodore Long in his office, watching the broadcast and laughing about what just went down between R-Truth and Dolph Ziggler. The Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and her accomplice Layla enter the office, with McCool demanding to know why he wants to see her. Long reminds her about what she and Layla did to Beth Phoenix last week, which McCool and Layla laugh about, before Long tells her he finds it disgusting, and that’s why he has granted Beth Phoenix a Women’s Championship match at No Way Out. The Women’s Champion is furious, but T-Long isn’t having any of it and orders her to leave. McCool and Layla leave, McCool screaming about the announcement and Layla trying to calm her down. Long shakes his head, simply saying ‘Women’ as we return to ringside. Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match CM Punk Defeated Rey MysterioThe fourth spot in the Elimination Chamber match was on the line here as CM Punk and Rey Mysterio battled it out to determine who would join Triple H, Montel Vontavious Porter and Ted DiBiase in the big match. As these two squared off in the ring CM Punk really got in Mysterio’s face, repeatedly screaming that he is better than Mysterio until Mysterio had had enough, slapping Punk in the face and immediately going on the offence, almost getting an early win by attempting a 619 right from the beginning. From there the match was very fast paced, both men aiming for the win throughout the match. There wasn’t much time wasted on showing off, instead this was all about trying every big impact move in an attempt to get the win and gain the chance to fight for a World title match at WrestleMania. These two have great chemisty, which made this match superb and easily the match of the night. Either could have gained the win with plenty of near falls throughout but it looked like Mysterio would take the victory when he set a dazed Punk up for the 619. However a distraction from Straight Edge Society member Serena allowed Luke Gallows to enter the ring and level Mysterio with the Gallows Pole away from the sight of the referee. Punk quickly stole the pinfall, stealing the victory and the slot in the Elimination Chamber. Punk quickly exits the ring and backs up the ramp with the Straight Edge Society, getting a massive amount of heat in the process. We then cut backstage where the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho is standing by with Courtney Taylor. Courtney asks Jericho about his thoughts on his World Heavyweight Championship defence against The Undertaker tonight. Jericho starts ranting about how he shouldn’t even have to defend the title tonight and that he deserves better because he is the highlight of SmackDown every week. Jericho guarantees victory tonight, stating that his World Heavyweight Championship reign is not going to end any time soon because he is the greatest superstar ever to step foot in a WWE ring. Jericho goes on to say that if The Undertaker or Edge or John Morrison thinks they can take the World Heavyweight Championship away from him, they are sorely mistaken. Jericho walks off as SmackDown cuts to commercials. Edge Defeated Drew McIntyreThis was the first singles match that Edge has competed in since his injury back in July and you couldn’t tell he’d been out for so long. Other than the smallest bit of ring rust Edge looked great in the ring, not missing a beat as he clashed with Vince McMahon’s ‘Chosen One’ Drew McIntyre. McIntyre came into this match full of his usual arrogance but wasn’t prepared for the furious offence of Edge who came into this as a huge fan favourite, a stark difference to his status prior to the injury. As the match continued McIntyre began focusing on the ankle of Edge trying to reinjure the Achilles Tendon which Edge had only just returned from so Edge did everything he could to avoid that possibly showing that it isn’t 100% yet. That determination allowed Edge to begin taking control of the match, countering a lot of McIntyre’s offence and unloading with a number of his signature moves. Edge finished the match in style by connecting with a devastating Spear that took McIntyre out and gave Edge the pinfall victory. Following the match Edge isn’t even given a chance to celebrate or recover as he is attacked by Batista who charges the ring and nailed Edge with a Spinebuster. Batista continued the attack, delivering a second Spinebuster and attempting the Batista Bomb. Edge would show his experience however and managed to slip out the back. Edge would attempt to connect with the Spear but Batista swiftly exited the ring, grinning. Edge demanded a microphone and told Batista that if he wants a match at No Way Out, then he’ll get it, that if Batista wants a shot at getting into the main event of WrestleMania, then he has it! Batista nods as Edge stares him down, looking furious as we cut to commercials. When SmackDown returns from commercials a video package airs showing highlights of Chris Jericho’s World Heavyweight Championship victory over The Undertaker at No Way Out. It shows Theodore Long’s announcement last week that The Undertaker wanted his rematch for tonight. He’ll get it, right now as Chris Jericho defends the World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker. World Heavyweight Championship Match Chris Jericho [C] Defeated The UndertakerThis was easily one of the biggest main events in SmackDown’s history as two of the WWE’s biggest stars clashed with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. John Morrison was on commentary during this match as he’ll be facing the winner at No Way Out. This match was perfectly put together, focusing on the history between these two superstars in recent months and putting a heaving focus on Chris Jericho’s cocky attitude going completely out of the window as soon as he stepped in the ring with The Undertaker. The match was pretty back and forth and while many felt it was a safe bet to say Chris Jericho was going to retain as the match continued it looked more and more likely that this match could go either way and that we could have seen a new World Heavyweight Champion right here on SmackDown. The opening parts of the match was the feeling out process with The Undertaker overpowering Jericho multiple times in Test of Strength’s before Jericho began playing dirty and working away at Undertaker’s knees and back knowing that he’d be able to set him up for the Walls of Jericho. John Morrison didn’t play a simple passive role as he got involved, stopping Jericho from using the World Heavyweight Championship as a weapon when the referee was taken out by Jericho ‘accidentally’ hitting him with a clothesline. Jericho and Morrison argued at ringside until Undertaker joined them by flying over the top rope and taking out Jericho. Jericho did manage to cheat however as he sent Undertaker flying into Morrison when Undertaker turned around he turned straight into a Steel Chair Shot from Jericho. Jericho rolled Undertaker into the ring, revived the referee, and delivered the Codebreaker to steal the victory and retain the World Heavyweight Championship. As the bell rings signalling Jericho’s victory John Morrison is in the ring immediately, tackling Jericho to the ground and unleashing with strikes. Jericho fights back by raking Morrison’s eyes but he is quickly caught by a Flying Chuck. Morrison followed this up with the Starship Pain and held the World Heavyweight Championship over Chris Jericho as SmackDown goes off the air.

-Good promo. Makes Edge look slightly like a coward though. I can see Batista taking fury out on Edge until he does accept. Putting your realistic writing style and Batista's attitude I think of that. -Guerrero over Hardy isn't a great call though. Hardy is better than Guerrero in my opinion but hopefully this is only for good things to come for a Chavo push. Hope Matt takes revenge. -Luke and Serena over MVP and Maria is a good call to make SES stronger. -Morrison over Ziggler is a good call. Happy he won to get some momentum for his World Title match. -Punk over Mysterio is a great call. Actually, a good one either way you put it. Expecting for Punk to take over as highflyer of the match now. -Edge over McIntyre is good since it's Edge's first match back since winning the Rumble and the injury. Should be interesting to see if he gets the gold. -Jericho over Taker is an awesome main event. Hopefully, Taker still has things coming for him but the match was amazing man! -John Morrison standing tall is awesome. Wouldn't hurt me one bit to see him retain. But I think you're going with Jericho/Edge considering that was the big thing back in March. -Great show; sweet graphics on page 1!

- A decent opening promo, like Edge declining the challenge as it adds fury to Batista. - I am meh on Guerrero winning, as I like him and he is poorly used in reality, but Hardy is more credible. - Luke and Serena winning for the Straight Edge Society was probably the best call in this tag match. - Morrison and Ziggler always put on some pretty good matches, best decision with Morrison winning it. - Truth's attack on Ziggler to make a statement after coming back from commercial is good, throwing him in contention. - Pleased with Punk getting the spot in the Elimination Chamber over Mysterio, as he is more relevant at this point. - Like Edge facing McIntyre in his return match as it is a credible opponent, and him winning was for best. - An amazing main event for Smackdown, would've preferred this at NWO and Morrison in the Chamber, but, Jericho retaining is good.
A good show.

15th February 2010 | DES MOINES, Iowa |
WWE Superstars Taping Match | Jack Swagger Defeated Primo | Jack Swagger is meant to be the star here, and he is made to look like one. Swagger is made to look dominant while Primo manages to get some offence in. A solid encounter that sees Swagger pick up the win following the Gutwrench Powerbomb. |
We get the usual pyrotechnics display followed by Michael Cole Jerry Lawler welcoming us to the broadcast. Michael Cole reveals that tonight will see RAW’s final Elimination Chamber qualifying match as Randy Orton battles one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions David Hart Smith. We will also see Diva’s tag team action, David Otunga versus Santino Marella and four superstars battling it out for the right to challenge the United States Champion The Miz at No Way Out. They are cut off by the sound of ‘Voices’ as Randy Orton makes his entrance. Randy Orton hits the ring, being handed a microphone and waiting for the crowd to die down before speaking. Orton says that last week his former protégé Ted DiBiase qualified for the Elimination Chamber. He says that it’s former protégé because DiBiase didn’t have the guts to stay in the ring and face him like a man for the second week in a row. He says that tonight he defeats David Hart Smith and gains entry into the Elimination Chamber match himself and that when they’re inside the chamber there’ll be nowhere to run for Ted DiBiase. Orton says that DiBiase made a big mistake crossing him and eliminating him from the Royal Rumble match because with him he’d have become a massive star, but without him DiBiase is destined to fade into nothingness. Orton promises to make sure that happens sooner than it would have by showing him a true beating at No Way Out. Orton drops the microphone and heads backstage to a lot of heat. We’re shown a video package promoting the No Way Out Pay Per View which airs this Sunday. Winner Challenges for the United States Championship at No Way Out | Sheamus Defeated Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and Mike Knox | There was a lot of tension involved in this match as the winner would get a title shot against The Miz this Sunday. All four looked impressive, nailing their signature moves throughout the match and each came close to winning at times. The ending stretch saw Evan Bourne connect with the Shooting Star Press on Mike Knox, Kofi Kingston connecting with Trouble in Paradise on Bourne before Kingston turned around straight into the Bicycle Kick allowing Sheamus to get the pinfall and the title match. Sheamus stands tall having gained his United States title match as we fade backstage. |
We are shown The Miz backstage, grasping onto his United States Championship as watches the prior match. He realises he will now face Sheamus this Sunday at No Way Out for the United States Championship. John Cena walks up behind him, joking about how Miz is going to have to keep hold of his hat if he doesn’t want Sheamus kicking it off along with his head. Miz is visibly angered by Cena’s mocking and gets in his face, threatening to take Cena’s head off right now. John Cena tells Miz why don’t they see if he can and challenges him to a match in tonight’s main event, saying it will be good practice before he becomes the WWE Champion once again this Sunday. Without thinking Miz agrees, telling Cena he’ll see him in the ring before storming off as we cut to a commercial break. David Otunga W/ Abraham Washington Defeated Santino Marella | David Otunga once again gets the chance to show off his skills this week, although he was visibly put off by Santino Marella’s comedy taunting. The match wasn’t the best but Otunga looked good as he took down Marella with some powerful moves before putting him away with The Verdict for the victory. Washington hits the ring and raises his clients arm as we fade backstage. |
Randy Orton is shown getting ready for his match later tonight when Cody Rhodes walks up to him. Rhodes asks Orton if he’s taking this thing against Ted DiBiase a little too far, stating that maybe he has gotten ahead of himself but that they only need to talk to him. Randy says the time for talking is over and that he created Legacy to ensure the future of the WWE because he saw the three of them as the future and that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase needed to be moulded into champions. Orton says he did exactly that but that when Ted eliminated him from the Royal Rumble match he proved that he thinks he is bigger than Legacy and that he needs to be taught otherwise. Orton then asks Cody whether he has anything else to say and Cody shakes his head, leaving. Randy gets back to getting ready as we cut to a commercial break. Melina & Gail Kim Defeated Maryse & Alicia Fox | Following Maryse’s attack on Melina last week this match was booked to give Melina a chance at a little revenge. This match was actually entertaining and it’s notable that these four diva’s can actually wrestle. Melina and Maryse were at each other’s throats throughout while Gail Kim provided some nice high flying spots including the finish when she connected with the Moonsault on Alicia Fox for the pinfall. Following the match Maryse attempted to level Melina with the Diva’s title only for Melina to dodge the blow and connect with the Extreme Makeover, leaving her standing over the Diva’s Champion as we fade backstage. |
We cut to the locker room of The Hart Dynasty, where David Hart Smith is getting ready to head towards the ring for his Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Randy Orton. Tyson Kidd and Natayla are watching a clip from SmackDown of the CM Punk/ Rey Mysterio match. Kidd mentions to Smith how there’s a lot of good talent over on SmackDown and they’re fighting champions. Smith agrees, telling Kidd they’ll have to head over there sometime after he beats Randy Orton tonight and goes on to get a World title shot at WrestleMania. Tyson Kidd and Natayla both laugh and wish him luck as he heads out of the locker room. We are then shown Big Show who is standing beside Jamie Keyes. Keyes asks him about whether he is worried about his WWE Championship defence this Sunday at No Way Out. Big Show states that he doesn’t have any worries, because John Cena made one major mistake, he signed on to wrestle him in a match that clearly favours a man of his stature – a Street Fight. Big Show talks about how he is biggest, stronger and more vicious that John Cena can ever hope to be. He reminds everyone that when he was ECW Champion he defeated all comers including some of the most extreme competitors such as Rob Van Dam and Sabu and that John Cena is nothing. Big Show promises to give Cena the beating of his life and that once their match is over, John Cena won’t ever step foot in a wrestling ring again. Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match | Randy Orton Defeated David Hart Smith | David Hart Smith really stepped it up tonight as he proved he could hang with the big boys here on RAW. Randy Orton was still pre-occupied with Ted DiBiase but that only seemed to make him more vicious than ever as he really unleashed on Smith who showed what he’s got and for every shot Orton gave him he’d strike back with a stronger one. The match was very back and forth throughout but there was always a clear winner here as Orton managed to escape out of a Running Powerslam attempt and connect with the RKO for the pinfall. Following the match Ted DiBiase came out onto the ramp and sarcastically clapped Orton, who just stared at him as we fade backstage. |
A video package airs promoting this Friday’s SmackDown broadcast, which will be headlined by a tag team match pitting Chris Jericho and Batista against John Morrison and Edge, plus an Elimination Chamber qualifying match between The Undertaker and Drew McIntyre. The Miz makes his entrance prior to his match microphone in hand. He begins talking about how right now, everybody is going to watch him defeat the number one contender to the WWE Championship and that after that he will be the next one in line for a world title shot. He goes on to say that after he defeats John Cena tonight he will go on to teach Sheamus a lesson in respect this Sunday at No Way Out. He starts his “I’m The Miz” line but is immediately interrupted by the music of his No Way Out opponent Sheamus, who walks down to ringside and sits at the announce table, at no point taking his eyes off of The Miz. John Cena Defeated The Miz | The Miz really stepped up tonight, showing exactly why he is one of the hottest heels in professional wrestling right now. His ability to draw heat is superb and he had the entire crowd against him from the moment the bell rung. With Sheamus at ringside Miz was clearly distracted but that didn’t mean he wasn’t as cocky as ever despite Cena doing a good job of trying to kick that cockiness out of him. The match was very back and forth and Miz managed to hold his own while Cena attempted to send a message ahead of No Way Out. In the end Cena countered the Skull Crushing Finale and hit the Attitude Adjustment to get the victory. |
Following the match John Cena has little time to celebrate as the music of the Big Show hits as the WWE Champion slowly walks down to the ring. Cena is so focused on Big Show that he doesn’t see Miz get to his feet and jump him. Cena fights back but Big Show enters the ring and the numbers game is far too much for him. That’s when Sheamus leaves the announce table and slides into the ring. Miz sees this and attempts a clothesline but Sheamus ducks and connects with the Bicycle Kick, knocking Miz out. Cena and Sheamus then send Big Show crashing out of the ring with a double clothesline. RAW comes to an end with Sheamus standing over the body of the Miz and John Cena and Big Show staring each other down ahead of their respective matches this Sunday.

WWE RAW: Monday 15th February 2010...Ah, the Elliot touch in this diary. Not sure about a table being needed for the WWE Superstars taped match though, as it seems slightly unneat. You should put the actual RAW-HD logo in the table containing the date and location, too. That would look neater. Jack Swagger beating Primo is no surprise; both Primo and Carlito were dying on their own. Randy Orton's promo was good and enjoyable to start off, promoting his feud with Ted Dibiase. However how he seems sure of beating David Hart Smith to get into the Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out...everybody believes him and thus, it makes the match seem pointless. It's better to have main eventers in qualifying bouts for anything to face other main eventers, as that increases unpredictability. Sheamus beating Evan Bourne, Mike Knox and Kofi Kingston is alright; better way of building Sheamus. There is no way for Knox to remain credible in my mind. Either stick him on WWE Superstars more, or throw him out. David Otunga beating Santino Marella was predictable; could see some amusing happenings between Otunga and Marella though, involving Abraham Washington. I sort of think this is a rough time to debut Otunga, as this is the Road to WrestleMania XXVI and there is never room for undercarders on the road to 'Mania. Melina and Gail Kim beating Maryse and Alicia Fox is nothing out of the ordinary. Randy Orton and David Hart Smith should have gone on third, if anything. You promoted it like it was the first-hour main event and you positioned it right before the main event, which is baffling. You need to try and organise it so your audience will have a reason to stay tuned into RAW for the second hour, and having a big semi-main event at the one-hour mark is the way to go. To me it seemed like Marella and Otunga's match was first-hour main event, and they are two of the least appealing guys on RAW right now. John Cena beating The Miz was good, and enjoyable post-match attack from everybody in Elimination Chamber. A decent show, but some stuff on my chest.

-Orton's promo was enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing him qualify. -Found it to be very obvious for Sheamus to win considering his feud with US Champion The Miz. Smart call though. -Otunga over Marella is the right call. I can't stand Otunga but he seems to draw some attention every now and then. I expect him to lose possibly in the pre-match battle royal if you make it to Mania'. -Melina and Gail over Fox and Maryse is a typical diva call. -Figured that Orton would make it to No Way Out. Something tells me I'll see a Legacy breakup at Mania' unless this is still going to be a tandem. -John Cena over The Miz was a good main event. Like the post-match and Cena's the fave I think. -Good show; I agreed with DTP on what the first-hour main event. But I don't find it too big. Can't wait for No Way Out.

Vladamir Kozlov Defeated Zack Ryder | The cockiness of Zack Ryder was fully on display here but it did him no good in this back and forth match as he was taken out by the powerful Kozlov and his Iron Curtain. |
Joey Styles and Byron Saxton welcome us to the show. Styles states that tonight we will see Rob Van Dam in action against the intense Vance Archer and Paul Burchill teaming with fellow brit William Regal versus Ezekial Jackson and Goldust. Plus ECW World Champion Christian is in attendance. They are cut off by the theme of the Extreme Icon Tommy Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer makes his entrance, grabbing a microphone and entering the ring. He states that last week he showed exactly what Extreme really means when he tore Goldust apart from turnbuckle to turnbuckle, but that after the match Shelton Benjamin thought he’d be the hero and get involved in his business. Dreamer says that Benjamin made a big mistake trying to get involved and that he has no place in the Land of Extreme, just like the majority of the roster he is sickened to have to share an arena with week in, week out. He is interrupted by Shelton Benjamin, who tells Dreamer that he used to respect him but that he’s proven himself to be an insecure little man who needs to shut his mouth before he gets it shut for him. Benjamin then challenges Dreamer to a match later tonight. Dreamer accepts, but on the condition that it is an Extreme Rules match so he can really teach Benjamin a lesson. Shelton immediately agrees, and the two stare each other down as ECW cuts to commercials. Ezekial Jackson & Goldust Defeated William Regal & Paul Burchill W/ Katie Lea via DQ | There was a clear feel of past and future here as the more experienced Goldust and William Regal teamed with the up and coming Ezekial Jackson and Paul Burchill respectively. A back and forth match that featured a lot of action and continued to push Burchill as a cold heartless bruiser. Ezekial Jackson looked to have this one won when he hit the Book of Ezekial on Regal but before he could make the pin Burchill nailed him in the head with a steel chair, causing the DQ. Burchill readied himself to deliver the Curb Stomp to Jackson on the chair but he was run off by Goldust. We then fade to black. |
A video package airs promoting this Friday’s SmackDown broadcast, which will be headlined by a tag team match pitting Chris Jericho and Batista against John Morrison and Edge, plus an Elimination Chamber qualifying match between The Undertaker and Drew McIntyre. Rob Van Dam is shown standing by with Josh Matthews. Matthews asks him for his thoughts on his ECW Championship match this Sunday. Van Dam says that he came back to ECW because Paul Heyman asked him personally, and that he knows Paul well enough to know that he wants the best for the land of Extreme and that RVD is the best. Van Dam talks about his match against Vance Archer next calling it a warm up match where he’ll do something Christian could never do – defeat Vance Archer one on one and that after he does that he intends to put on a match of the year candidate with Christian this Sunday and walk away as the new ECW Champion. Van Dam walks off as ECW cuts to commercials. Rob Van Dam Defeated Vance Archer | Christian was on commentary for this match to build up his ECW Championship match against Rob Van Dam this Sunday. These two really went at in a back and forth match and either could have won this. Archer nearly had it in the bag when he set Van Dam up for the Blackout but RVD showed his experience, escaping the move and landing behind Archer, nailing him with a big roundhouse kick followed by the Rolling Thunder. Van Dam followed up with the Five Star Frog Splash to get the victory. Christian leaves the commentary table and at one point looks like he’s about to enter the ring but instead stays outside, staring down Van Dam as we fade to black. |
A video package plays promoting the No Way Out pay per view which airs this Sunday. It focuses on the ECW Championship match between Christian and Rob Van Dam. When ECW comes back the ECW general manager Paul Heyman makes his way down to the ring, backed by the young man we saw signing an ECW contract last week. Heyman introduces him as Wade Barrett, a former bare knuckle fighter and the future of ECW. Heyman says that Barrett has the ruthlessness and willingness to go to the extreme that is needed to become a star in ECW and that with his guidance it is only a matter of time before he is the ECW Champion. Barrett takes the microphone and talks about how he was brought up in the rough streets of Manchester, England so he knows what going to the extreme is all about. Barrett says that he isn’t like all these other young stars and have been brought up learning how to hit the perfect moonsault, he’s all about hurting somebody so much they can’t get up anymore. Barrett pledges to be the face of ECW in 2010. Heyman raises Barrett’s arm, the crowd not sure what to think of him, as we cut to commercials. Extreme Rules Match | Tommy Dreamer Defeated Shelton Benjamin | Tommy Dreamer continues his mission to bring Extreme back to ECW in his second Extreme Rules match in just as many weeks. These two really went at it using everything they got their hands on and it appeared that Benjamin had scouted Dreamer out and knew how to hold his own in a match that clearly favoured the Extreme icon Tommy Dreamer. By the end of the match Dreamer had been split open by a stiff strike from a Kendo Stick but that didn’t alter the result of this match from last week’s Extreme Rules match as Dreamer once again came out on top, this time with a Dreamer Driver through a table meaning Benjamin didn’t have a hope of kicking out of the pinfall. |
For the second week in a row Tommy Dreamer stands tall in an ECW ring amidst what appears to be the scene of a car crash. ECW comes to an end with Tommy Dreamer posing, arms out and his foot on the chest of a still unconscious Shelton Benjamin.
