WWE RAW: Monday 22nd February 2010...Jack Swagger I wish was better positioned than on Superstars, but fine for Swagger to pick up the win against Kofi Kingston, although it's a shame how far Kofi has fallen since feuding with Randy Orton. Good promo from John Cena to start up, a rematch with Big Show hopefully really does end this feud as it hasn't done a single thing for me. Evan Bourne and Chris Masters as a tag team? I really dislike it, but it could actually get them somewhere in the company. Mike Knox and Primo is a lame team. Really not good and a random match. Weak start to RAW that could have used an extra bit of uppercard support. Gail Kim and Natalya beating Maryse and Jillian is alright, and the segment with The Legacy and Randy Orton was pretty nicely done. Hopefully you pull off this storyline much better than the company actually did, with Orton annihilating Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase. Let Cody be involved big time in the plans for WrestleMania XXVI with Orton and Dibiase. Big first hour main event win for Sheamus against Randy Orton, The Miz's involvement with Sheamus just doesn't do anything for me. Triple H's promo with Shawn Michaels was pretty good, nothing that spectacular though. Glad Cody Rhodes got into Money in the Bank, would have been awful for Santino Marella to have entered. The Hart Dynasty putting themselves in a four team elimination match for their WWE Unified Tag Team Championships? That just sounds confusing to me and nonsensical. John Cena beating Big Show was predictable and I guess we'll be seeing The Undertaker and Cena for the WWE Championship. An alright show, I was never fond of WrestleMania hype shows though, the show as a whole didn't do an extreme amount for me.
ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 23rd February 2010...The Dudebusters beating Yoshi Tatsu...Zack Ryder sorry? Not understanding why this formation is here teaming with Goldust. A good part on Superstars though. Glad you aren't killing ECW for NXT too but hoping it does come into play later on in the year. Good opening promo from Tommy Dreamer, surprised that Shelton Benjamin interrupted him though, good win for Dreamer against Benjamin but would have much preferred Benjamin coming out on top. Not too sure why Paul Burchill would want to hurt Ezekiel Jackson considering both men are heels, but I guess Burchill taking people out intrigues me. The undercard on ECW confuses me, honestly. Lastly, good ECW Championship rematch defense by Rob Van Dam against Christian. A good show, was everything it needed to be.
WWE SmackDown: Friday 26th February 2010...Drew McIntyre beating Kane is alright, but better than Superstars in my mind. Good promo by Batista to kick off the show about Chris Jericho but I am still uncertain about this as a headlining rivalry going into WrestleMania XXVI, as Batista just doesn't seem to fit into Edge and Chris Jericho's storyline, history or style of wrestling. It just seems thrown together to me. Matt Hardy beating CM Punk surprised me but better to see Punk not in Money in the Bank as he doesn't need to win it for the third time, but if he was in to lose it would make him look bad. Hardy isn't too deserving of the briefcase either though. Beth Phoenix beating Layla is fine, pretty good match and SmackDown's divas division was good in my mind around this time. Decent win for Luke Gallows against Rey Mysterio, hoping you execute Mysterio and Punk's rivalry off properly rather than having the forgettable WrestleMania match and then at last the headshaving. Good win for the Hart Dynasty against Cryme Tyme; their well known adversaries. Lastly, good win for Batista against Chris Jericho I suppose. It's just me probably, but I'm not too fond of the road to WrestleMania XXVI as of right now; but that's just my disliking of 'Mania hype shows. Again, like RAW I can't say much but it was everything it needed to be.

-Solid promo to kick things off here tonight. Jericho/Batista shall be a good main event. -Thank god Punk is not going to MITB where he could have a possible three-peat. Anyways, wonder where he goes from here. -Beth over Layla was expected considering she's the new Divas Champion. Good call. -Gallows over Rey Mysterio is a good call. I like that you could be going with Punk/Rey for Mania' too. -Dynasty over Tyme was really expected since they are Unified Tag Team Champs. Hope to see an Open Challenge at WrestleMania. -Batista over Jericho via countout was good. Batista looks really out of place as of now considering he had no business in this feud but you know me. I love the unpredictable. -Good show; still loving the plot heading into Mania'. Good luck there.

- A nice opening promo, Jericho vs Batista shall be good. - Hardy getting into MITB is good; Punk doesn't need to be in it. - Beth defeating Layla is a good call as she needs momentum atm. - Luke Gallows beating Rey is big for him. Oh wow, Hawkins is the hooded man? - Obvious decision to have The Hart Dynasty win here. Hope they don't face Cryme Tyme again though. - Batista winning by count out is a good call, Edge getting involved after and all the actions happening build this well.
Good show.

WWE News & Notes- Big Show has been talking to a few close friends backstage about retiring when his current contract runs out sometime in the summer. Big Show is suffering from a number of aches, notably in his knees, and doesn’t think his body can continue at a full time pace. The rumours going around are that his brief WWE Championship reign was part of contract negotiations between the WWE and Big Show that will see him continue on for a further few years but with a lessened ring schedule similar to how The Undertaker works. - It seems like Cody Rhodes will not be involved heavily in the feud between Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase. Original plans called for Rhodes to be the special referee in a match between the two, most likely at WrestleMania, but that he’s now being distanced from the feud as evidenced by the segment between him and Orton on RAW. It is expected that he’ll be given a proper singles run leading into the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania. - Montel Vontavious Porter was not in action on SmackDown due to a knock he picked up during the Elimination Chamber match. MVP hurt his shoulder pretty bad during the match and he was said to be in some pain following the match. He was checked out by doctors who said the injury isn’t as bad as they first feared but that he would require to take this week’s SmackDown tapings off to heal. He is expected to return to action next week. - Some members of creative are pushing for The Dudebusters to get a push after their in ring work and microphone work impressed a number of people backstage. There are some pushing for them to take on gimmicks similar to those that Edge & Christian used around 2000, with their out of ring characters being that of a heelish comedic duo who can outwrestle other teams. - WWE’s development territory FCW saw a change in championship this week as Justin Gabriel dropped the Florida Heavyweight Champion to Alex Riley. Alex Riley has recently begun working as a tweener in FCW in a similar gimmick to the one Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy) used to use with the focus being on his microphone work and bad mouthing both faces and heels.

1st March 2010 | OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok. |
WWE Superstars Taped Match | Evan Bourne & Chris Masters Defeated Mike Knox & Primo | Evan Bourne & Chris Masters push as a tag team continues in a rematch from last week’s RAW, and just like that match this was all about Bourne and Masters. Knox and Primo don’t look long for the WWE with this performance and Knox once again fell to the Masterlock Slam/ Shooting Star Press combination that has been dubbed the Starmaker by Michael Cole. |
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show, hyping all the action we have tonight. They promote two Money in the Bank qualifying matches, Ted DiBiase clashes with The Big Show plus we will have an in ring confrontation between Shawn Michaels and Triple H! They are interrupted by the music of the WWE Champion as John Cena makes his way to the ring to a rapturous reaction. WWE Champion John Cena enters the ring and asks for a microphone. His face goes from a grin to a deadly seriousness as his music stops and he begins speaking. John Cena says that all he’s heard this week is how at WrestleMania, he could be the man to break the streak; he could be the man who finally defeats The Undertaker. He goes on to say that there’s only one problem, when everyone says he could do it, they soon follow it up with the fact that he won’t. Cena says that he has never listened to anyone when they tell him he can’t do something; he goes on to do it anyway, no matter what anybody thinks! Cena says that he is the WWE Champion, and that he will be the man who ends The Undertaker’s streak, because unlike the opponents he has faced in the past, he does not fear the Deadman! John Cena tells The Undertaker to come and face him in the ring next week on RAW so he can tell him face to face that he will never inflict fear upon John Cena and if he doesn’t, then Cena will go and find The Undertaker and beat him all the way to the ring! John Cena drops the microphone and raises the WWE Championship, the arena bursting into half cheers, half jeers at John Cena’s comments. Commercial Break.Money in the Bank Qualifying Match | Kofi Kingston Defeated Mike Knox | The first of two Money in the Bank qualifying matches here tonight with The Miz taking on Sheamus later tonight in the second. The crowd were completely silent when Mike Knox made his entrance but popped pretty loud when Kofi Kingston arrived. These two had a decent back and forth match, the speed and agility of Kofi Kingston proving to be more than enough to match the strength of Mike Knox. Knox has done nothing impressive in recent months so it was no surprise to see Kingston picking up the victory here tonight, the fan favourite pinning Knox following the Trouble in Paradise. Post match Kingston celebrates the victory, signalling his intentions to win the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania. |
Kingston’s celebration is quickly interrupted by Michael Cole who says we have something happening in the parking lot. We quickly cut backstage where Shawn Michaels is shown entering the arena in an expensive looking suit. Jamie Keyes rushes up to him, asking for a word on Triple H’s demand that he explain himself later tonight. Shawn looks at her for a minute and grins, telling her that he doesn’t need to tell her anything. He does say that nobody, not even Triple H, has the right to make demands of him. Shawn Michaels walks off leaving Keyes, and the fans, speechless at Michaels apparent change of character. We are next taken to the United States Champion The Miz getting ready for his Money in the Bank qualifying match with Sheamus later tonight. Cody Rhodes walks up to him, asking if he’s seen Ted DiBiase around here anywhere? Miz tells him he hasn’t but that he doesn’t lose track of people who are meant to be his friends. Cody comes back by saying that Miz doesn’t have any friends which angers Miz. Rhodes tells Miz that he hopes he does win against Sheamus tonight, because he would love to shut The Miz up by winning the Money in the Bank briefcase right in front him. Miz tries to say something but Cody quickly interrupts, telling Miz not to waist his breath because nobody deserves to smell it. Rhodes walks off leaving Miz furious, screaming that his breath is awesome just like the rest of him. Commercial Break.Natayla Neidhart Defeated Jillian | The Diva’s Champion Maryse was on guest commentary for this match having been pinned by Natayla Neidhart last week on RAW during tag team action. This was a decent match and while she doesn’t look likely to ever really receive a good push Jillian still delivers in the ring when she needs to. This match was all about Natayla, despite Maryse spending the match insulting her, and she picked up the victory following a Discuss Clothesline that nearly took Jillian’s head clean off. |
Following the match Natayla signals to Maryse at ringside that she is coming for the Diva’s Championship when suddenly SmackDown diva, and former Women’s Champion, Michelle McCool attacks her from behind. These two had a confrontation over on SmackDown and McCool is clearly still furious over Natayla bad mouthing her. McCool puts the boots into Natayla while Maryse watches on, grinning. McCool finishes her assault off with the Faithbreaker, leaving Natayla completely out inside the ring while McCool leaves up the ramp, Maryse watching on and keeping hold of the Diva’s Championship as we fade backstage. We cut to see Ted DiBiase in the back on his way to the ringside area for his match with the Big show. He is cut off by Cody Rhodes, who tells DiBiase to pick up his damn phone to which DiBiase responds that he doesn’t know who’s side Rhodes is on. Cody says he isn’t on anybody’s side, that he’s focusing on the Money in the Bank match and creating his own WrestleMania moment but that he is here to warn Ted that Randy Orton is out to get him, and that when he does he’s going to try and end his career. DiBiase says he can come and try, but that everybody is going to see that DiBiase is the Million Dollar prodigy for a reason. DiBiase walks off while Rhodes shakes his head. Commercial Break.Ted DiBiase Defeated Big Show | A great first hour main event here as the self professed ‘Million Dollar Prodigy’ clashed with a man who has a lot of anger to get out following his recent losses to John Cena. DiBiase was clearly outmatched here but his newfound level of confidence allowed him to step into the ring with the Big Show and really tried taking the fight to the giant right from the moment the ring bell rung. That clearly wasn’t the best method to go with however as Big Show just threw him across the ring whenever DiBiase started building up momentum. The match was very evenly balanced between the two, maybe even surprisingly so. The end saw Randy Orton make his way down to the ring. He jumped onto the apron and began arguing with DiBiase. Big Show charged at DiBiase who saw it coming, sending Big Show crashing into Orton. Orton flew off of the ring apron and DiBiase rolled Big Show up for what has to be considered a shocking victory. |
Following the match Big Show is in shock at having just lost another match. Randy Orton is furious at having inadvertently assisted DiBiase tonight and enters the ring but he isn’t fast enough, DiBiase rolling out of the ring and exiting through the crowd. Orton is seething in the ring and things just get worse as Randy turns around where a very pissed off Big Show is waiting with a knockout fist. Big Show exits the ring while Randy is left lying, Ted DiBiase having once again gotten one over on the Viper. We cut to Jamie Keyes standing by with Evan Bourne and Chris Masters who have recently been quite successful as a tag team. Jamie asks them for their plans for WrestleMania which gets an bemused reaction from the pair. Masters says that their plans should be obvious; they’re coming for the Unified Tag Team Championships. Bourne says that they are the perfect combination of strength and speed, saying that they’re so strong because they’re the best of both. Chris Masters issues The Hart Dynasty with a challenge, telling them to face them in the ring next week on RAW and if Masters & Bourne come out victorious then they will be RAW’s representatives in the four way elimination match for the Unified Tag Team Championships. Commercial Break.David Otunga is out next alongside his ‘business manager’ Abraham Washington. Otunga is scheduled for action next, but Washington wants a word with the crowd first. Washington hypes up Otunga as the future of this business, saying that ever since debuting on RAW nobody has come close to defeating him, but yet he is still being underestimated and underappreciated by everyone, including the RAW general manager Bret Hart. Otunga takes the microphone, saying that he gets it, everybody is afraid that if he is given a chance, then he will take over this entire show and there will be nothing anybody can do about it. He says it doesn’t matter though, because if he isn’t going to be given an opportunity, then he will damn sure make one for himself. Washington says that Otunga’s opponent for tonight will be made an example of and that this is just the beginning. The music of Santino Marella hits as this match is about to get underway. David Otunga w/ Abraham Washington Defeated Santino Marella | Otunga could be a star in the making, that’s for sure, but whether he actually makes it big is all going to come down to whether he is given the ring time to impress and make an impact, because defeating small time opponents like Santino Marella isn’t going to get him anywhere. The match was decent, Otunga still isn’t the best in the ring but he’s improving, and Washington was a very entertaining presence at ringside, his over the top mannerisms really getting the crowd going. Santino tried building up some momentum but Otunga kept stopping it dead and eventually put Santino away with The Verdict. |
We cut backstage to see Big Show storming through a hallway, still furious over his loss to Ted DiBiase earlier tonight. He scares off a number of backstage workers when they block his path but he can’t do the same to Sheamus as they cross paths in the hallway, Sheamus heading towards ringside for his match against The Miz. Sheamus grins, taunting Big Show about not being able to get a win and telling him not to worry, he can sit back and watch a real wrestler in the ring right now. Big Show doesn’t say a thing, just staring at Sheamus with the look of a brutal giant. Sheamus says “See you later chuckles.” Sheamus heads towards the ring, Big Show still not uttering a word. Commercial Break. We return to the office of RAW general manager Bret Hart, sitting on a couch along with all three members of The Hart Dynasty. Natayla is nursing an ice pack on her neck following her attack at the hands of Michelle McCool earlier tonight. Bret says that he’s proud of them for being fighting champions, saying that he is sure they can come off victorious at WrestleMania 26. He asks them if they are going to accept the challenge of Evan Bourne and Chris Masters for next week and Tyson Kidd says why not, they deserve a chance just like any other team on the roster. David Hart Smith agrees, saying that if a team like Masters & Bourne can defeat the Unified Tag Team Champions then they deserve to be involved in the four way elimination match. Suddenly Shawn Michaels walks into the office, telling The Hart Dynasty to get lost. They quickly square up to Michaels but Bret says it’s fine. The Hart Dynasty leave the office, leaving Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels alone as we return to ringside. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match | The Miz Defeated Sheamus | This was meant to be a blowoff match between two superstars who have been feuding for the better part of two months and while it did serve that purpose to an extent it was let down by the screwy finish. One thing’s for certain, The Miz is one of the top heel’s in the entire company, the heat he got from this crowd was unbelievable considering he’s only just hitting his prime as a professional wrestler. Similarly Sheamus is one of the breakout stars of 2009 and is set to have a massive 2010 especially now that he has the crowd onside with his recent face turn. These two had a solid match just like their encounter at No Way Out, their styles mixing together perfectly to provide some great back and forth action. There was an honest feeling amongst the crowd that either men could walk away the victor here and either would be a great addition to the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania. Sheamus was building up a lot of momentum and was moments away from delivering the Brogue Kick when the music of the Big Show hits, the giant that Sheamus angered earlier tonight walking slowly down to the ring. Sheamus is momentarily distracted and that’s all The Miz needs to recover. Sheamus goes for the kick but Miz dodges the move and rolls Sheamus up, using the tights for the leverage needed to get the pinfall. Miz quickly exits the ring while Shemus can’t believe what has just gone down. Big Show has reached the ring by this point and as Sheamus gets to his feet Big Show enters. Sheamus charges at him but is met by a knockout right hand that lands hard and sends Sheamus straight to the mat. Big Show stares down at him, the sleeping giant having been awakened, but Sheamus isn’t conscious to see it. |
We cut backstage briefly to see Triple H making his way to the ring. He will confront Shawn Michaels next! Commercial Break.Michael Cole proceeds to show us a clip from No Way Out where Shawn Michaels turned on Triple H, hitting him with Sweet Chin Music. He is cut off by the entrance of Triple H, who makes his way to the ring and demands a microphone. Triple H says that he said everything he had to say last week and now he wants answers and tells Shawn Michaels to get out here. Unlike last week ‘Sexy Boy’ hits and Shawn Michaels makes his way to the ring, still suited out and grinning, showing little remorse for his actions at No Way Out. Michaels asks for a microphone and asks Triple H what gives him the right to make demands of him? Triple H tries answering but Shawn tells him that he’s talking now, just like Hunter asked him to. Shawn says that he’s had a long career and during that career he’s done everything there is to do, but he still wants more, he still wants and deserves to be WWE Champion at least one more time in his career, but that ever since Degeneration X reunited he’s never gotten close to the title. Shawn says that he was always more successful when he looked out for himself and that he is going to tell Triple H and all the fans the same thing he told Bret Hart earlier tonight – from here on out Shawn Michaels cares about one man, Shawn Michaels, and that everybody else can go to hell for all he cares. Triple H tells Shawn that he could have just told him he wanted to go solo, he didn’t need to act like a jackass and cost him the Elimination Chamber match. Shawn says that Triple H took Shawn’s chance to be in the Elimination Chamber match and that’s why he did what he did, because Triple H doesn’t deserve what he’s got, because all he did to get into the Elimination Chamber match is the same thing he’s always done – he used Shawn’s momentum to get ahead. Shawn says that it isn’t going to work anymore, because he knows that Triple H only cares about Triple H, and that as long as they are friends Shawn Michaels will never get the shot he deserves. Shawn tells Triple H they’re team, and they’re friendship, is over and that if he’s smart he’ll keep out of his way. Shawn turns to leave and Triple H shouts that Shawn’s doing what he does best, he’s walking away from a tag team because he can’t accept sharing the spotlight. Shawn stops, grins, and out of nowhere delivers Sweet Chin Music to Triple H! The crowd are shocked as Triple H crashes to the mat and Shawn looks down at him. Monday Night RAW comes to an end with a legendary team broken in half and Shawn Michaels standing tall over the body of Triple H.
