Seeing members on the east coast were finding the Basic Series 1 at TRU yesterday I was going to go to see if mine had them this morning. But as luck would have it my wife's car died this morning so she took my truck down to Madison NJ for work leaving me vehicle-less. But late this afternoon I called my local TRU and they said they had 6 on the floor so I called my wife who was actually about 10 minutes away from TRU. So she stopped in and found a set of Series 1 and picked me up HHH, Big Show, Batista & a Cena w/ 1/1000 belt. She left Kofi & Bourne. She said all they had on the floor from Mattel was the 6 basic figures. No rings, Elite or 2-Packs. So I'll have 3 of the figures I wanted under the tree (She said I could have one now because she took my truck today) Now I just need to find the Legacy & Santino/Beth 2-Packs along with the Entrance Greats HHH & HBK and Elite Taker & MVP to have everything I wanted from Wave 1's. It got caught between the neck and head when the popped on the head so the bottom half his ear is mangled. (He now has a cauliflower ear) |

Wow quite a lucky situation to be able to get there and then to get a 1/1000. I really like the idea of the commemorative belts, i need someone to get me a kane one. Cant wait to see loose pics. Enjoy your new mattel stuff, even if there is only a few more days to go before you can get the others. May I ask what you will be doing with each of the 3 Triple Hs?

(He now has a cauliflower ear) Sweet, thanks for the loose pics of the belt. the strap looks pretty flexible, wouldn't mind all the belts they make using it. That sucks about the ear, first trips hair and now cena's ear you've been alittle unlucky with the early figures you've got. Will you end up getting another cena to replace it? |

I'm not sure as I'm not a big Cena fan I might just keep his head slightly turned to hide it. May I ask what you will be doing with each of the 3 Triple Hs? As for the Trips After the Second one arrived yesterday I pulled off the first one's hair and reset it. I also repainted it, but didn't like how it came out so I removed the paint I had added and just did a wash on it...It's not as bright as it was now. (It's the figure used in the scale pic with Cena) As for the Trips my wife picked up tonight I'll keep him MOC at least until if I find a 1/1000 Triple H then I'll keep that one MOC. Really awesome pickups!!! I'm surprised TRU already has these. How many series 1 HHH's do you plan on getting? lol Well I was only planning on buying two (1 open and 1 MOC) but the first two I had shipped open to save on overseas shipping. And if the first one didn't take a month to arrive I wouldn't have done the second, but we both thought the PO lost it so I paid the shipping for a new one. And then the first one arrived the next day, but he'd already opened and packaged up the second. So today's was because I wanted one MOC. So that'll be it unless I see a 1/1000 Triple H. Or I decide to make a couple customs - a 2001 era Trips in the HHH trunks and a Trips in the DX attire (Only if I get the DX HBK Mattel has coming out) |

Yeah, if not for my wife's car issues it would have been a great day. (Still waiting to hear what that'll cost) I'm just glad that with the exception of my gifts we had all our Christmas shopping done already or this would be a poor Christmas.

Congrats PJ. Can you tell if the belt is genuine leather or synthetic leather? The backing on it makes me think synthetic leather.
