Hey, I have a question that I've been wondering ever since we saw the debut of Mattel's Rey Mysterio.
Why was it that Jakks never added Rey Mysterio's cross to his Rosary tattoo? I mean Mattel seemed to add it without a problem.
Heck, Jakks had tons of opportunities to add the cross but they never did. Mattel takes over, and their very first Rey Mysterio figure that they ever make has the cross.
So was it Jakks being their "always screw something up" selves or was there a reason behind Rey never having his cross?

Not sure, but as yerp said, his BNB had it, why it took so long for jakks to do it im not sure (maybe mattel doing it forced jakks to want to compete).

I remember hearing a while back that Jakks wasn't allowed to add the cross because it dealt with religion; obviously that wasn't true.

Even his Micro Aggression Figure from series 16 has the cross:  First I also thought that it was because of the religion thing, but it seems to came out (like all the time from Jakks) that they left it away to make more money with later figures that would have the cross...  |

I've always wonder why he never had his cross too. Psychosis's single figure had a cross on the upper part of his back. If they could do it for him why not Rey Rey.
