Hey, Back again here with another classic for ya. Here we've got the ruthless and mean Big Bully Busick. To be honest, I can't really recall too much about this guy. Other than he used to smoke cigars down to ringside, wear a derby hat and was managed by one of the worst managers in history, Dr. Harvey Whippleman. I can't remember what his finisher was, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was a submission of some sort. He never had an action figure in his likeness, probably due to the fact he didn't last long enough in the W.W.F. to have one. But then again, Ted Arcidi didn't last long either and he had one. I believe he may have wrestled in Stampede Wrestling as Nick Busick, but I am not 100% sure on that. I'm sure he's got a Wikipedia page, but I have not read it and am just winging it here. As far as I know, he never had an entrance theme either. His tenure in the W.W.F. must've been extremely short, because I barely recall him being there. So, there you have it. The latest "Blast From The Past" Superstar, the one and only, Big Bully Busick. Feel free to post your thoughts on Big Bully. Thanks.

I seem to recall him wearing a red turtleneck to the ring for his debut. Somehow, it all went downhill from there.

I remember him during his WWE run and also during his time GWF, but I forget what his name was in GWF, but the fans would chant Mario during his matches much to his chagrin.

I remember having a favorable impression of him but I only saw him 3 or 4 times. I remember him being mean to ringside kids and I thought his derby was cool. That is about the extent of it.

I just saw some videos of him on youtube from his GWF days and his name was Big Bully Busick there too. The gimmick did not change once he came into the WWE.
Bully was a great heel in GWF and he did what heels today can't seem to do. He connected with the crowd and got tons of heat from the moment he started his entrance until he made his way backstage.
It sucks that the WWE took this guy from the GWF, gave him a mini-push then jobbed him out until he left the company.

His finisher was the "Stump Puller"
He went on to coach high school wrestling after his time in WWF. I only know that cause I used to work with a guy who trained under him.

Yeah the Stump Puller was cool, but I prefer his GWF finisher "The Bully Blaster" aka the Heart Punch. But I think it was too violent for the WWE during that time period.

I remember him in GWF and reading about him in PWI.......but yeah Vinnie squandered him he could have been a better heel there.

I knew it was a submission maneuver and The Stump Puller was a great submission move. He may have brought that submission move to the W.W.F., but Doink the Evil Clown perfected it.

Harvey Wippleman was a great manager, he just never did much for WWE. His stuff in USWA and other companies was gold though.

Yeah IMO Harvey was not a terrible manager. I think he was pretty good, especially outside of WWE. I think he was better than the overrated Jimmy Hart.

While I don't think Busick was a character destined for greatness, or singles gold. I think he could have been used a little better to make his jobbing to the top faces seem like a bigger deal than it was. Busick got a lot of heat and I don't feel the WWE capitalized on it. IMO he was taken from GWF just because they could and once they had him they gave him a mini-push then jobbed him out. Nobody that beat him gained any notoriety because of it, so it just makes his whole push pretty pointless when you think of it.

How can you consider Harvey Wippleman a horrible manager?
