I understand the way everyone else feels about this 2-pack, but I still think I would have a tough time passing up on this series if I saw them in stores.
As you said, there is a kind of trade off in terms of the good and bad qualities presented by Jakks for years and Mattel for, well, just these first few weeks.
If us collectors can overlook the bad that Jakks offered, especially the scale of the figures, than I believe we can do the same with the lesser likenesses (in some cases, not all) of the Mattel figures.
I really am glad, though, that the Jakks-Mattel scale comparison is not so different after all.
Thanks for any and all loose pics you can provide.

At being absolutely horrible? I wholeheartedly agree with you. You are right about that.

I have to switch that HBK head, but after seeing the Jericho I think I'm screwed with my enormous Jakks Jericho head.

i'm really not liking these figs. might be cos i'm not 'used to them' but they just seem kinda ugly with the joints etc. i mean i love the detail but not the sizes though they're accurate and to scale. ive been jakksified.

They look good, The hair colour on that HBK looks better than the elite proto we saw. Love the jericho, nice detail and scan is nice.
Thanks for the pics.

Still undecided which I prefer...I think Mattel has got the scales better than Jakks.

Thanks for the pics.
That Jericho is quite possibly his best figure yet. I have a ton of Jerichos ranging from his Toybiz one, to his first WWE one (TTL3) ,to his Best of WCW one , all the way to RA40. He's had some good figures over the years for sure, but man...Mattel's body's look way more human than Jakks'. They aren't too exaggerated for the most part, and I think that's what some people are having a hard time adjusting to with what, nearly 8 years of RA now? It's a big change.

Just wondering, but would you be able to do a headswap?

I actually like the headscan on the Mattel HBK better. And I'm glad we don't have to deal with Jakks laziness/cheapness any more and that the attires will actually be finished rather than half-done (details missing, no back design, etc). Say what you will, but the Mattel figure looks 100 percent better from behind (if you are into displaying figures ass-backwards or actually moving them around).
The sad thing is Jakks COULD make some great figs but often didn't (the WM25 3-pack is wonderful). I wonder how we'll feel about Mattel in a year from now (and I hope their ever-present distribution problems don't rear their ugly heads).

That is cool. Did you see the other set or just that one? Yes indeed. Legacy looks good but not as good as the photoshoped/perfect lighting proto pics. Santino/beth looks amazing but beth didn't have the gloss finish to make it look like vinyl.

It's funny when he switched to trunks I never wanted a Jericho figure in the trunks because I think he looks odd in them, but I do want that Mattel Jericho figure. same here

I like the Mattel face better from those pics. I just wish he had the beard, but that's easily painted on.
