Heres the deal kiddies. I worked at FYE and every CD and DVD has a firm street date and if we broke it we were sued. There was no such thing as a red flag in out regiesters that's a load of crap. If we goofed and someone found it on the sales floor then we had to sell it to them and wait to get in trouble. Now then I bet the people who are finding the Mattel figures in their TRU are people who have employees who don't read the box and just stick them out not expecting it to be any different then any other WWE figure shippement. I have been to my TUR everyday since last friday looking for the figures and nothing. All I see are restocks of the royal rumble series. And I'm telling you for a fact when the Movie Masters were released a few weeks earlier than the release date and everyone was buying them...my local TRU put them out the following week and when I brought them up the the register to pay everything I had to buy scanned except the 3 Movie Masters figures I had. They were in the computer system and scanned the price at the price scanner, but the register had been programmed not to approve them until the release date. The girl tried scanning them a few times and it woldn't complete the sale. So she called over the store manager and when he came over he showed me the screen where it said not to be sold before 5/1/09 or something like that. I tried to say that they were on the floor so I should be able to buy them, but he showed me it wouldn't go through because they couldn't sell them until the release date. He then put them in a bag with my name on it and put them in his office for me until the release date. So just because your company doesn't do something with their registers to stop the sale of something doesn't mean all companies are like yours. |

You know I don't want to sound like a grinch here but I do kind of hope they hold everything until the 1st for the simple fact that I would like to walk in to a store and see more than a triple h or bourne staring at me. I would love to be able to grab a whole set at once instead of going to 3 tru to find only a spinner belt and a ring like I did this morning.

I would love to be able to grab a whole set at once instead of going to 3 tru to find only a spinner belt and a ring like I did this morning. I would have been happy with 1/1 being the date and everyone having to wait. But its just not the way of the world. You knew someone like PJ or KJToys was gonna show up on here with Mattel before the release date. Its just the way it is. |

Are you kidding me I had my 1/1/10 planned. 12:01 Order the 2 figures I wanted the most from RSC...Go to sleep...Wake up at about 6am pace around the house like a caged animal until around 11:30am...Head over to TRU so I'm there when they open the doors (I think they opened at noon or 1PM this past New Years Day because of a City ordnance) And hope they had everything I wanted. Actually that's still my plan.

I understand there is no stopping the beast that is fig collecting I just kind of hope that this is true so that anything they get between now and then will be there at once. I'm glad for everybody that has found them and the 1/1000. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to go out every morning but I will until I found out that I won't be getting them. |

I've had a computer block sales numerous times on me. FYE was no exception. Several local FYE's had revenge of the sith figures out early. When scanned it said sale prohibited or something to that extent. In another case at K-Mart with ROTS figures I physically watched 3 figures get scanned and after that point all the figures scanned started ringing up "No sale". So I was present when the computer system blocked the sales. I can attest to this for no less then a dozen major summer movie toy lines over the years. I can also confirm that the computers don't always block chain wide. Example: I was not able to buy Attack of the clones figure at one TRU but several hours later at another location I was. And no their is no such rule in any retailer handbook that says once an item is on the floor it has to be sold. That is and has always been a managers myth they use to shut associates up with and keep customers happy without explaining things in great detail. Items can be "no sold" for a variety of reasons once they reach the floor including manufactures recall, breaking of release dates, physical being damaged, or in store limiting. |

I worked at Target during college and I can say for a fact that registers can easily be programmed to prevent any item from being sold (i.e. an item with a strict street date). It was done with every CD and DVD in stock, and I can guarantee TRU can easily do this. |

Here is some breaking news for ya:
TRU in Rockaway NJ just pulled three cases out of the back. My girlfriend just told me she got me a 1/1000 Kofi, another Triple H and a 1/1000 Cena. She gave them the UPC.
Now this may be because my girlfriend is good looking, or because if TRU has these, they are gonna sell them.
Sucky part is that I have yet to find any Mattel WWE figures, but she has gotten me 5 of 'em and I can't have them until Christmas...

It sounds like it would be true, because that's what happened when they TRU sold the Movie Masters figures before the official release date. We'll know for sure when someone is blocked from buying them at the registers. When it happened with the Movie Masters figures TRU updated their registers to redflag the purchase of them until the release date. Yah and  ing bungholes like that are the reason that i waited outside tru the day they came out and found 20 batmans and no jokers, thugs or chase |

I found and bought an entire set of Series 1 Basic figures today here in Canada. They are great figures, I'm just disappointed I haven't quite completed my Jakks collection yet.

well as long as whatever TRU I go to has everything I want I'll be happy,my b-day is on monday and usually my mom or step dad take me to the mall but I told my mom I don't want to go anywhere until Jan 1st so I can get them instead of wasting time going somewhere that doesn't have what I want,I'm sort of glad stores are putting them in the back just so it's fair for everyone
