I was just in my dad's attic when I came across this huge box of old wrestling magazines from the mid 80s through the late 90s. I sat down and thumbed throgh some of them. It was great to take this blast to the past. I have a ton of different magazines ranging from Pro Wrestling Illustrateds to Wrestlings Beauties and Beasts. I even have some magazines from the old G.L.O.W. show! There were so many different magazines back then. Now there is only PWI and the Inside Wrestling/The Wrestler magazines. I know WWE has a magazine, but it seems like its more of a men's magazine as opposed to a wrestling magazine. NOw, I'm not trying to get a thing started on bringing back magazines. I was just feeling nostalgic and wanted to get some of your thoughts. Thanks for reading.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated and The Wrestler were staples of my childhood. It just sucked when they jacked up the prices so that my mother would make me take just one. I loved the posters and the kayfabe articles and interviews. Can't forget about the rankings and show results from various promotions. I loved those days.

I had a 12 year membership to both The Wrestler & Inside Wrestling. It would make my day when I finally got them in the mailbox. I only collected the PWI year end edition magazines or if the centerfold was someone I liked. I used to think the "face to face" article/interview was real. And why did they try to make Eddie Ellner a heel reporter? It never made sense to me.

Apter's work...fantastic stuff.
Some others that are still going, like Powerslam are great, and newer ones like Fighting Spirit Monthly that mix in some UFC aren't bad either...

I've got a whole load of wrestling magazines in the little shelf section of my desk. I've got PWI, WWF, WWE, RAW, WCW, WCW/NWO, PowerSlam as well as a few copies of other random wrestling magazines. I still try and buy old magazines when I can, infact I'm waiting for one to arrive in the post, a 1996 WWF magazine.

i definetly read a shitload of pwi and their branch offs, and loved it. before wrestling's historical age was easily obtained by technology, magazines were really the root source of my education other than tape trading.

i used to love the PWI top 500, it opened your eyes after thinking that WWF was the only wrestling around!
